breakfast was fine. One reason i chose this motel was for the sun deck. our room was right next to it! Had to pay for parking which was not listed on booking.com, but was nominal.

The room wasn’t cleaned in 3 nights but I didn’t ask if that’s the usual and didn’t mind since it was only a 3 night stay.

The office staff were very nice and allowed me to stay in the room until 12:30 on check out day while my family attended graduation at MCRD. Food poisoning sure put a damper on our trip! Locaton was great, walking distance to coffee shops, dining, and even a 7-Eleven.

The shower was not installed correctly, water ran all over the floor from cracks in the wall. We used a lot of towels because of this. The wall itself between the stand up shower and the door was soft and soggy. I can only imagine how much mold is behind the wall. The shower pan and tile were clearly not installed correctly. The rest of the room was fine but I would suggest having the bathroom checked out for sure. Not sure when the remodel was done, maybe you are still within a time frame to get the problems corrected/fixed. It would have been great if the shower and toilet had been in its own space and the sink and mirror where the closet and safe were. It's always a plus when one person can shower and use the toilet but another can be brushing their teeth or doing hair and makeup. If the bathroom is going to be redone I would highly suggest a layout change since the space is available.

I asked for morning housekeeping service each day.. I NEVER GOT IT. There isn't much more to say. I got back each day to an unmade bed and an unemptied trash can. Apologies sure but still not the housekeeping I requested. Sign at front desk said it was available on request,

The receptionists were very helpful and kind. The hotel room was fine. We enjoyed our stay in San Diego.

The location of the hotel was great, centralized for travel. Had a few 24/hour shops around for last minute needs. Nice brunch place next door, coffee shop, and donut/liquor shop across the street. The check-in/check-out was pretty fast and easy. Staff was very friendly and kind. The water pressure and water heat was amazing! (Probably the best out of any hotel i've ever stayed). AC in room was easy to use.

The room was dated and a bit dirty. The mattress was old and yellow. Looked like it was probably from the 90s. It was too soft. We found many unclean surfaces around the night stands etc and even what looked like an blood stain on the lamp shade. The bathroom window opened up to the public walkway and there was no fan for ventilation so we had to open the bathroom window only when we weren’t using it. The Bathroom windows also could make out the silhouette of a person to the public so changing in the bathroom was not an option. Had to pay $10 per day for parking (which is actually cheaper than other locations). The free breakfast was disappointing. We opted to just eat outside the hotel. You definitely get what you pay for with this hotel. It would be nice is they just did a few updates.

Thin walls/doors, main door had gap at the base allowing bugs in, shower lacked door or curtain so water got all over the bathroom floor, no ventilation in the bathroom other than opening window which then had zero privacy.
