Breakfast was OK, nothing special. there was a nice deck overlooking the water where you could drink a beer.
Room was extremely small, bed was lumpy, not enough accessible wall outlets. Difficult to maintain a decent room temperature.
9.0

Great location with view. Nice breakfast. Bed was fairly comfortable (note they only have queen size).
Our room was on the bottom floor, directly underneath the kitchen, where we could clearly hear foot traffic above. Wasn't bad overnight, but at 6 am the staff were tromping constantly back and forth. If you intend to sleep past 6, try to get a room on the central or top floor if possible.
Room was not too large, with no desk to sit at and only one rocker chair to sit in. Lighting in the room was somewhat dim.
Also note that there are not a lot of restaurants in the area and lots of tourists and campers during high season, so the restaurants we visited were very busy for dinner. As many of them close early, it's best to go early to get service.

La vue est époustouflante! L'accueil est chaleureux et la chambre est bien. Le déjeuner est super et il y a beaucoup de choix.

Location, clean, good choices
Owner was not present to greet us and we had to fend for ourselves. Room also was very hot and it took several hours to cool down,

Breakfast selection is pretty good. The view is what you're paying for. Staff were friendly.
The property is tired, could use a refresh. Room is very dated, which we knew but for this price ($295 all in) it's one of the more expensive ones compared to others on the Cabot Trails. There are no extra touches in the room - water of bottles, or Keurig coffee or any additional toiletries besides bar or soap, a small tube of shampoo & bath. Not many spots to charge the devices. Beware that no one mans the check in desk off check in hours (3 pm - 8 pm)

The breakfast was a buffet, with lots of options and local specialties. Breakfast was included in the rate.
Our room had a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Breakfast was great, lots of variety to choose from.
It would of been nice if the restaurant was open however totally understand the issue with staffing being the cause.

The staff was excellent, personable and accommodating. The breakfast was terrific -a cut above the norm. The room was comfortable.
The weather and they couldn’t control that

The buffet style breakfast was the one saving feature of the hotel.
The motel-style hotel was way over priced for the value it offered. The AC didn't work.

Great variety at breakfast. The inside seating area is quaint and the views are beautiful from the deck. Early breakfast start was appreciated (7am).
The hotel is a little outside the main area but worth the drive in my opinion.
I was upgraded and that was a surprising and much appreciated gesture.
Restaurant was closed without much notice so I was never able to take advance of on-sight restaurant.

Just a very basic room for a high price.
Very far from everything else - we had to drive 80Km to have dinner

The views of the ocean are beautiful from the deck, side yard and front rooms. The stairs to the second floor are wide and easy to manage. The breakfast was nice. The owner called us to let us know the dining room would be closed for dinner that evening and someone was there to meet us at check-in

Spectacular view.
Bed was very uncomfortable, pillows were as flat as cardboard and the duvet was off colour from age.

Great view across the water. Dinner was really great. Breakfast included was also great.
At a presumably formal dinner in their dining room, (which was quite expensive), they served our water in small styrofoam 4 oz coffee cups with ice. I had to ask them to wipe down the table, as it was clear that they hadn't done so since the last guests who dined at that table. When the server wiped down the table, it was a cursory, circular wipe of only where we were sitting (ie: not the entire table), & even then, there were huge areas in front of me that didn't get wiped down, were still dirty, and I couldn't touch for the rest of the meal. Cheap, tiny, 1-ply diner napkins were served w/ the dinner, that I could only use to dab my mouth once before it was a tiny crumpled mess. When I had finished my salad, I placed my fork & knife on the plate for the waitress to remove, & then I had to ask her for more cutlery for my dinner. In addition, She placed all the cutlery that she brought for our dinner, on my husband's plate, & asked if that was ok. I just said yes, & took my cutlery off my husband's plate so that I could eat my dinner. The staff was friendly, as were we, but clearly, no one had ever trained these young women in any kind of dining or service etiquette. This is the owner/ manager's responsibility, which is definitely overlooked here. In addition, our duvet had no duvet cover on it. Their hygiene & cleanliness in the middle of a pandemic left a TON to be desired (& should truly have been reported to someone of authority)! Not sure why there was no duvet cover on our duvet, but if every guest is sleeping in that room like that, then mgmt / owners are definitely not concerned about their complete lack of cleanliness.
Oh - there was a brand new fridge in our room, but I had to unpackage it entirely, including removing tape from all the shelves, the stuffing & packing from inside, & even had to untape & remove the warranty/manual from inside.

Everything was perfect, room was clean with beautiful view. Breakfast was amazing, so nice with everything pandemic wise when a accommodation says breakfast included and it is. Beautiful building with lovely dining room. Thank you
