Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The suite was ready early so the let us check in early. The room was clean and well stocked with everything we could need. Loved the frozen Dove bars, chocolates in the evening and muffins in the morning.

Small pool area and several kids in both pools. I think one should be adults only to avoid the splashing or getting hit with items the are throwing to each other.

The staff is super nice, the muffins, the ice creams, the environment with the tropical plants. Overall the entire atmosphere. Close from the beach and Duval street but quiet.

The music at the pool. The living room can be a little bit dark due to the vegetation but to be honest you have the balcony and the place is amazing

Close to everything. Quiet area perfect for families. Its not a large property so everything felt personal and not like a number at some of the bigger resorts. Staff was friendly and helpful. we had a teen, preteen and 8 year-old and this was close enough to Duval street without being in the craziness at night - IYKYK. Absolutely would book here again without hesitation!

Bedframe corners were hard and perfect shin height.

The property was small enough to enjoy. The pool was in the center of the property so everyone could view.

Unfortunately, I got a bad bedroom. Coming from New York, I wanted to rest. Mind you, I had to sleep with earplugs while in this hotel. The reason is that the fan was doing a repeated ticking noise that would keep me awake. Turning it off, the room would be too hot. No instructions of controlling the temperature were given. We asked for late checkout and only 1 PM was given because hotel was packed - so obviously, they wouldn't offer us a different room to fix the issue with the fan. I did not expect to have to sleep with earplugs, but I'm glad I travelled with them.

The room was gorgeous, loved having a full kitchen (even though honestly we didn't really use it this time), and just the space of 2 BR/2BATH was great! Beautifully updated and decorated. The welcome ice cream and muffins and water were much appreciated, and a nice touch. Reception staff member Matilda was amazing, she went above and beyond in advising us about best excursions and even booking them for us! She is incredibly charming and helpful! Small grocery store and Cuban cafe (cafecito!) right across the street was very handy!

I was surprised and disturbed to not have a security latch on the inside of the door to prevent entry when we are inside the room, as this is (and should be) standard procedure for most hotels. And just for general security of guests, an indoor latch/barrier to entry should always be present. Our hotel bedrooms were adjacent to a pretty loud bar across the street, but that's not Santa Maria's fault, just something to be aware of. Location was relatively close to Duval street, restaurants, etc. but was on the other side of town from boating type excursions, at least for us.

Rooms were well appointed and spacious. Had all the facilities you need.

Special requests weren’t there when we arrived, had to ask which spoiled the first impression. Housekeeping was really late, 5pm. Towels were tiny in the bathroom and my pet peeve (especially in the US) is 1-ply toilet roll.
