The staff was nice and friendly.
I stayed 6 days and my room was cleaned 2 times I ended up making my own bed
and dumping my own garbage not very good service and the room was not kept clean. I was in my bare feet when I came out of the shower and walked across the room my feet were dirty from the rug. The grout on the tile was dirty as well as the
shower door, The Vanity hadn't been dusted in any of the corners. Just now how I would expect a room I paid $359.00 per night for. The food at the restaurant was limited and very expensive for what was served.

Nothing, room was terrible and manager was mean
People were not nice checking in at front desk, Manager talked down to us

In the middle of the worst natural disaster in Hawaiian history the staff took care of us even facing unbelievable loss and tragedy. When all other hotels closed and bussed everyone to the airport they stayed open.

The bungalows are absolutely a NO-GO, dirty, old, and also around the bungalows we had construction activities, so no privacy, no silence, and no glass windows!
Not reasonable for the price.
We asked to get moved to the tower and was decent, but still not reasonable for 500€ per night…

The resort is right on the beach.
This was the worst value for a stay I've ever had. The website showed a picture of a 350sqft bungalow with lots of light and nice floors, bathroom, etc. We were put into a 200 sqft, dark, old, bungalow with inefficient air conditioning, old carpet, and a bathroom from the late 70's. For the same amount of money you could stay in a high end mid-town Manhattan suite with a separate bedroom. Literally, I looked it up. Costs the same as the Conrad, around $520/night after all fees, parking, etc., for the room equivalent of a Motel 6. Granted, I am including in the cost the $35/night to self park, but a car is almost necessary because they only have one restaurant (and a small coffee/ice cream store) so you'll want to get off property at least some. It's possible that if you book this you'll get what's in the pictures, but definitely not guaranteed. And you'll have to see the pictures attached to this review because they don't show pictures of these bungalows anywhere.
I'm not exactly sure what the 'resort fee' is for, the only things I found for free were beach towels, use of the two very average pools, and shuffleboard. The wifi was terrible, almost unusable, which was probably for the best since it was open and unsecure.

Location and private beach. Yet construction noise was audible on beach.
The property was undergoing severe renovations during my stay, under new ownership and I was not notified and paid too dollar.

The resort itself is beautiful. The view of the Pacific and Maui mountains - even more beautiful. Loved our getaway at the resort and the Lahaina town. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I booked for Garden view room, but got a tower room instead. I booked the garden view almost 2 months prior to vacation. I was not notified of Garden view renovation and it's unavailability prior to, during, or after booking. I was only notified by staff upon checking in when we reached the Resort.

I loved the property during Our Stay on July 02/2023 to July 10/2023 I was not apart of a group. I Denise Y Ramsey, Spouse Jeffrey Carter and sister, Elaine Monroe Lucas, she left on July 06,2023 @ 5 a.m. so if I was charged as part of some mysterious group, I am disputing this Charge Connected with the $ 5.176.00 U.S. dollars.

Nice location near beaches
Cleaning every other day; property was older and wash sink couldn’t be shut even when asked to fix it

Staff were fine
Not worth the price and needs many renovations

Great location with an amazing beach. Close to shopping and restaurants. Top notch staff made our stay extra nice!

Great location, perfect pools and beach front. reasonable beach front bar and restaurant was very good for the price. Overall great experience and awesome staff from the valet and front desk to the beach front towel crew.
AC in the tower room wasn’t great and didn’t get cold. But was cool enough. Bed was good but not great.

Strange odor in room,Musty?..

Tower room had a comfortable bed and loved having the balcony, especially as there was no shade by either pool in the afternoons. Staff was very accommodating with a complimentary upgrade after our first night in a bungalow room and very responsive to our requests for more coffee and room cleaning. Great location, short drive to the dive shop in Lahaina!
Originally booked a bungalow room. The bed was very uncomfortable with an unsupportive and lumpy mattress that gave me back pain after the first night. The closet doors wouldn't open, some of the blinds were broken, and the tile in the shower was cracked. These rooms should not be available for booking until after they are upgraded! After waking up with back pain, I called the front desk and the staff upgraded us to a newer tower room, which we very much appreciated! After that the stay was great, other than the lack of shade/umbrellas at both pool areas which prevented us from using those facilities.

great location. near the Luau location and perfect beach area.
Perhaps the concierge that booked our activities would have given us more options with different price points.
3.7
The drinking water in the lobby was exceptional. The Valets were outstanding. The food at the resturants was excellent and the Luau was an amazing experience. The hotel is also a 10 minute to the Lahiana harbor and close to a few shopping districts.
The biggest disappointment was the lack of the puca shell/lei making class, which was the deciding factor for our family when booking the Royal Lahiana over other resorts. The birds at the restaurant fly right to your plate when eating. Also, the bungalow walls are too thin, we could hear our neighbors on both sides, there is no ventilation in the bathrooms, causing mold/mildew build up around the ceiling and the bugs in the bungalows were abundant.

Location was great. Right on the beach and only a mile walk on a relatively flat path to Whaler Village

Amenities
wish the room was cleaned daily
3.7
the free shuttle was good
the bungalows were old, dated and unclean. we had hair in our toilet, mould on the floor and a leaking wet aircon unit. we let management know and nothing was done. also the rooms were not cleaned or any new towels in 3 days we were there

The view from the beach from bungalow was beautiful
I checked my bags in to the hotel earlier in the day and was told I could check into to my room at 4pm. I ended up up upgrading to a bungalow from the tower and signed all the paperwork so it would be a quick check in come 4pm. Once check in time came the front desk could not get it together. I paid for an upgraded bungalow instead of being in the tower. I waited 30 min after check in time for a room to even be ready and then was given a tower room even though I paid for a beach front bungalow. Once they realized their error I was taken to my bungalow but it was still being cleaned so we waited outside and watched them scurry. I called the front to let them know I was unable to use the fan or light due to the batteries being dead in the only remote that operates the light. I was told they would send someone over right away, no one came. we ended up just going to bed in the dark. There was also dead bugs around the room. When I checked out I expressed my concerns and was told “I’m so sorry about that. Would you like to charge the card on file or use another card?” It’s really unfortunate that this is how I spent the last night of my honeymoon and then felt completely dismissed when I expressed my concerns.

located on the beach
registration desk was rude and unwelcoming

great views of ocean. friendly staff
in suite, no place on wall of bathtub to place soap etc. didn’t tell us when we arrived that you have to have sliding glass doors closed for air conditioners to work. would like more menu choices that are more common meals for people who r there for longer time.
