The room was clean and very comfortable. The housekeeping staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.
I was under the impression that when the boxes of "parking", "breakfast", and "TV" are checked off, it's included with the initial hotel expense (which is not cheap). We had to pay extra fees for parking ($19/day), breakfast is an extra expense if you want to choose from the pre-made selections in the "restaurant" downstairs (we did not - even the server suggested other places to dine), and our TV had no signal (which I was told was due to the rain). The room phone has a front desk button that greets you with a busy signal every time - and the fridge stayed at room temperature even at the highest setting. Bottled waters with the word "Thanks!" are in the room - free to Diamond Club & the rest of us have to pay $3.00. Thanks? Boo.

The property was beautiful upon entry. The rooms were fair. Comparing to when you entered the hotel and the seeing the rooms was a bit underwhelming. The rooms looked a bit old and smelled musty. The breakfast that was included was subpar and didn’t give much of a variety. The restroom in the lobby’s were excellent. I would have preferred using the facilities in the lobby rather than in my room. Mr. Juan at check out was amazing attentive and he represents the hotel honorably and very professional. Just Mr. Juan’s warm welcome made the experience better.

Comfort. Had a concert to go to and we loved the fact we could take the elevator down to the second floor and cross to the XL Center without leaving the building.
Bathroom was tiny compared to other hotels we have been too. Also bed sheets had a bad odor.

The bed was clean and comfortable, I had a mini fridge, and the staff were polite. Was able to rest, and not my worst stay at a hotel at all
I picked this hotel for the pool, which was out of commission. They are renovating so there's a lot of unfinished looking areas and I paid a little steep for what I got, but it wasn't a bad stay. Hotel elevators may make you motion sick if you're prone to it. Would like if they had menu for the in-house cafe in the room, or listed prices in their hotel shop.

Location of the hotel. Staff was very friendly especially Donna down at the cafe. Common areas and rooms were clean.

Staff was nice room was clean
The pool was not open and that was the main reason for us getting a room on Memorial Day. When we went to check in the least the could have done was let us know the pool was not open. 4 kids were very disappointed!

Pool was not open and for close to 250$ you would think you could get higher than the 8th floor Hilton never again holiday Inn or best Western they may hot have the hight but they stuff work

We noticed our rug in our room was wet, we think the ice maker which was next door to us was leaking. notified front desk. Manager was suppose to contact us, never was notified.

We booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool. That was listed as open. We paid more than we wanted just for that. We turned up and it was closed for maintenance. We have two small children who have been stuck in a car for days and the kids needed it. We requested a partial refund. They agreed to a $50 credit.
The following morning while packing our things the curtain rail fell down. Our young kids (1 and 3) standing a foot from it. God knows what could have happened if they had been hit. We told them as we checked out that the rail had fallen.
About an hour later we noticed that about $600USD had been deducted from our account in addition to our room cost. We called them and they explicitly said that they do not care, and that we had trashed the room and broken a lamp. None of which happened and they refused to show us any evidence, because there was none. They blatantly lied to us. We even had a photo from around the time we checked out showing that the room was not trashed. They took the money from our account without notification or even an invoice.
We have notified Hilton customer service. The staff at this hotel were absolutely appalling. Useless at their jobs, and then scamming us at the end.
We have often chosen Hilton in the past. We will not be doing so going forward. Hilton Hartford is the worst possible choice you can make for your holiday.

Staff was fantastic and helpful. Location was excellent, went to a show at the XL Center and had an indoor walkway to get there. It was great not having to walk outside in the cold.
The only complaint was that the room was noisy and we could hear the traffic from the street/highway and sirens all night.
