Location was great
I didn’t have a car but the valet parking and drop off/pickup location (which I did use several times) was the same and the space was not big enough to handle both uses.
More importantly, at check in I verbally requested my room be cleaned the next day (not normally done). At 9:00 am the next morning I sent the same request via the app and got a response within the hour saying they received the request and had notified housekeeping. However 12 hours later when I returned to my room, it had not been cleaned. After my complaint to the front desk I received clean towels (at my request) and a discount on the room rate. To me one of the major pleasures of hotel stays is the daily cleaning, fresh towels, etc. The current policy of not having daily cleaning (without specific request), especially with no visible reduction in room rate is not a good business model which may cause me to reconsider staying at Marriott hotels

When we got there we were hit with a incidental fee of $150 which we also had no choice but to do there vallet parking which was $25 a day and was told that the rest of what was left will be sent back to my card. It never came back. I feel it was a set up the whole time.

The pillow had hair on it aswell. We cleaned the room before we left and still did not get our money back for the incidental fee

Comfortable bed and a hot shower.
I hate valet parking. Asked twice at check in about average time to get vehicle. Was told by 2 different people 5 minutes. Half hour later we are still waiting. NOT Acceptable. Food was way overpriced for what you got. Simply price gouging a captive audience. Got me once but no more

The staff was very friendly. Lobby and sitting area was very nice.
My room - the desk looked like it was falling apart. The closet door with the full length mirror was absent. The tub in the shower was very stained and unappealing. The bed was uncomfortable. The thermostat looked like it was from the 80s according to my electrician fiancé.

Customer service was Fantastic! The front desk was always very helpful and greeted us whenever we came back to the hotel! We stayed there with my family that came in from out of town for my son's wedding. They made sure to ask all the guest how the wedding was and congratulated my son when he came in to get ready!

The staff is fabulous. Valet staff was very friendly and professional. The front desk staff was so nice! They were fast to check us in. Very professional and thoughtful. Hot tub and indoor heated pool. Very clean Hotel. Nice view. Great service. A+

1. It was freezing cold in the room and raising the thermostat didn’t make it any better. The blanket wasn’t warm enough. Because of this I ended up sleeping in my pants with a T shirt under my night gown and my bathrobe on. I also placed bath towers on top of the blankets. In the morning I woke with a dreadful stuffy nose. I was afraid it might be COVID, but I took a test which was negative. My nose cleared up as soon as I left the room. I fear there was something in the room I was allergic to.
2. I wanted to watch a show on tv but the TV wasn’t working. When I called to ask for help, a very polite young woman came to help me and she also determined that it wasn’t working.
3. when I tried to watch it on my computer, your Web interface told me that if I wanted the faster version to use with steaming I had to join Marriott Rewards and pay $4.50. I was more than willing to do that but your app wouldn’t let me - due to some mixup with a previous account that I had with a different email address. My helper was unable to resolve that also.
4. Your web user interface is terrible. It said I had to join, but didn’t provide an obvious way to do that.
5 Neither of the outlets near the bed that I would normally use to charge my phone and my iPad were working. When The plugs from the devices were placed in the sockets they both failed to make contact or started to charge but then fell out.
6. The toilet intermittently failed to flush.
7 There was no luggage holder for my suitcase.
Too many things just didn’t work. You need much better maintenance of all kinds. See above.

Myles in the Bistro was awesome, and Jane & Brent in management were nice and understanding.
The handicap accessible bathroom shower head was broken, so I had a hard time taking a shower.
The check in representative charged my card double even though my room was paid in full in advance prior to arriving to the hotel. My funds were held the entire stay in Norfolk because of an error on behalf of the Marriott employee, which caused an inconvenience.
Room was not cleaned by housekeeping the entire stay and we were not given clean towels. We stayed for two nights.
