Close to beach. Easy access
You are on your own ends to make stay comfortable. No service other than someone hands the keys . Everything is self service including throwing your trash

Perfect stopover on the road to Hilo - cozy setting - and once we had figured out the "cooling situation" (no A/C - but you rarely need that in Hawaii with all the gentle breezes) the two large fans in the unit was more than enough. The unit was large, seating more than ample, and the view lovely - we shared our breakfast with an inquisitive gecko as we had our coffee on the balcony. The black sand beach is just minutes away, but with quite a pounding surf - nearest restaurant/grocery store is about 20 minutes away, so come prepared.

Nice quiet location, very secluded.
Layout of upper units over lower units made for noisy nights of walking and shuffling of chairs upstairs. Should renovate so that every unit is dual level and only share neighbors on the sides.

Location of the hotel was really perfect the beach is five minutes away from the hotel.

Nice size condo w/ full kitchen. Parking and smoking section was close to the condo. Overall, our stay was awesome!

The space was great, well decorated and comfortable. The location is out of the way, which was nice, but be sure to bring food/groceries with you :)
The dishwasher in our unit was broken and with now food options other than cooking, we spent a lot of time doing dishes during our stay. Additionally, the entire pool and area was closed for an entire day for an HOA meeting. These are by no means deal breakers, but some communication regarding amenities not being available would have been nice as we booked according to what we believed would be available. The staff were not overly concerned and no concessions were offered.

The property is very remote. It’s a good 25 plus minutes away from everything so it’s very peaceful, almost eerie. I’ve never seen so many stars in my life. It’s steps from Punaluu Black Sand beach, which is stunning, and about 30 minutes from Volcanoes National Park. Our room had a nice small kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals.

The unit was clean and tidy. The unit kitchen was well equipt with all that was needed to prepare our meals. The view from the lanai was excellent both ocean and mountain. Location was perfect. Both myself and my spouse was from there. We grew up in Kau from about the same year, 1950. I'm from Naalehu and she's from Pahala. We met at Kau High School. It was a very nice visit brought back lots of good memories.

We enjoyed the view immensely, the pool, and particularly the fire pit. It was a perfect place for us to stay before heading to volcano national Park. He loved the fact that it was real close to Black Sand Beach too. You had a washer and a dryer which helped us clean our clothes and the full kitchen was a plus. The bed was comfy and the Murphy bed came in handy.
It was great, but we couldn't find sheets for the Murphy bed.

We had an ocean view condo on second floor. Great view and excellent location for adventuring in a less populated section of Hawaii! Black sand beach with resting sea turtles a few minutes walk away. Small town nearby, Naalehu, has weekly Farmers Market.
