I loved the easy access to the highway

Our king size bed was definitely worn. It actually sunk down in middle. We were able to get some sleep, but I do believe it’s time to be replaced.

I liked the convenience in proximity to my work and the interstate. I had a retirement ceremony planned for Friday morning the 8th March, so we wanted to be close to my facility, so we came the night before, planning on a 2 night stay in Asheville.

Several features in the room were not operational. We gave a list of those items at check out. I hope they will be fixed before next occupant uses the room. We left 1 night early due to disappointment of several things. I do not normally fill out reviews on anything, but this trip I feel the need to do so. I work in Asheville, live in Hickory, so wanted to relieve the commute time the morning of my retirement ceremony. Looking backward, I would have just stayed home had I known of the issues with the room. I had stayed at Brookstone Lodge prior to this stay a few years back due to winter weather years ago, and had no issues. That is the reason I chose to book this stay this time. Just like the title I'm giving my review, I mean no disrespect, I am thankful we had a place to stay Thursday night. Please use this review as constructive criticism for the future as that is how it is meant.

The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good.

The lighting was bad. The room wasn’t somewhere I would want to hang out for long.

Our room had a sitting area which was good. I liked the step in shower the most.

Parking was not an issue on this trip because so few were in the hotel. But parking could be an issue.

We left the room around 10am one day and returned around 8pm and our room wasn't cleaned that day. They seemed a little stingy on soap and shampoo. Had to ask for extra.

Breakfast is too bad. Very small and old lift.. rooms are small with old beds, unclean mattress etc..

Upgraded room was 2nd floor next to outside tools and facing somewhat noisy road. Pool was cloudy which is imbalanced chemicals. Breakfast was horrible. Coffee horrible.

The room was nice and clean staff was friendly, the Breakfast was ok, it was a very nice hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

Everything thing was great except I didn't know this area and what was fun to do out there .

Noisy (not a lot of sound proofing). Running loud vacuum cleaners in hallways by 9 am. Air conditioning loud and musty but not overly bothersome.
