Room looked clean but felt dingy. No extra roll of toilet paper. No elevator. Not a very good breakfast.

Hadn't stayed here in years, and was very impressed with the remodeled lobby and rooms. Best value for the unbelievable price at this upper scale hotel. Not the Ritz but excellent value for a nice room while passing through.

Breakfast was delicious. Matthew is very nice and helpful we had to change our room from the second floor to the first and Matthew was able to do that.

Location

Door didn't lock. Extremely out dated. Smoke smell in room. Hallway smelled like reefer. Jacuzzi in the room that doesn't work but takes up space. Clientele was sketchy and I'm being nice.

The location was perfect. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. The staff was absolutely great! The free breakfast was delicious. The main guy from the front desk (Matt?) responded immediately and fixed the AC the first time it wasn't working.

I was surprised to have a second floor room without an elevator. (I know I am spoiled.) Our AC was not working most of our time there, but the temps were mild so we were okay.

it’s right across the highway from Carowinds, near restaurants and gas stations. it was affordable, and the breakfast was fantastic. There were fresh scrambled eggs and sausage and a waffle maker, plus fruit and yogurt and cereal for picky eaters.

it smelled a little musty/skunky on the second floor — even though it’s a non smoking hotel, many people have ignored that rule over the years and the scent has just worked its way into almost everything.

The only good thing was the mirror in the bathroom it was quite nice, other than not being sanitized I enjoyed the size of it, and one of pillows was pretty good.

Oh god where to begin, well for starters the rooms on the inside do not look like the pictures provided on the site, we could not use the pool it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned since prehistoric times, then the actual room itself had dark stains on the curtains and walls and beds and blood stains on the bed, there was a real musty smell when you walk in like lukewarm meet in a freezer locker that had lost the a/c component, oh and speaking of the a/c it wasn’t working at all it was so hot in a very small room, the light sockets are falling out of the walls and the outlets are not stable, the staff was very bland and not approachable. The tv remote did not work and the shower was going at a fierce jet pressure like if someone was to spray you with a fire hose up close. And not to mention when the lights went off the bed felt like it was moving and a very uneasy feeling of bugs crawling all over your skin, I’m pretty sure this place is haunted!! Very displeased with my stay!

Bed was nice. The A/C works well.

You walk near the pool and a male outside drinking a beer. The homeless outside on the hill and some were doing drugs. How do I know you ask? I been a police officer for 29 year I know what I see. This is not a good place to go. The TV remote would not work and the staff member came with a rag tied around his head to fix the remote. I will never stay there again.

Staff was professional and quick. I showed up super early and they were able to let me check on.
