Patio seating was great.
Staff in the dining area were not accommodating. The tables were dirty. We had to sit at a dirty table. They didn't clean the table until I asked them even though the bartender said to just find a seat and the waiters will come to us, too. Took a long time to come over. To take our order. Again, I had to go ask for my order to be taken. The air conditioning in the room was super loud. We were exhausted from our 12 hour drive. Couldn't get a good night sleep. My family will not come back.

I called late in the evening on 1/18, Wednesday, looking to find a hotel to book for my mom who was traveling unexpectedly down from Oregon to Los Angeles. She had her dog with her and just needed a place to rest after many hours on the road. Paul at the front desk helped me get the reservation set up over the phone and ensured she didn’t have to worry about the check in paperwork or payment when she arrived. I can’t explain to you after the day we had how wonderful it was to have a kind and caring contact to help. For background my mom’s mother (my grandmother ) become unexpectedly very sick Wednesday morning and was sent to the emergency room- my mom didn’t start the day expecting to drive 14 hours down the I-5 but that’s how it ended. Being able to rest easy knowing my mom was in great hands and in a clean, safe room overnight was the most I could have asked for. We will certainly come back in the future and we can only hope it’s Paul who can assist us again!

First I want to say that the staff at the front desk are very polite. However, I had a hard time sleeping from the strong smell of bleach. I was almost narcissus over it. As we were about to leave, I realized I left my prescription glasses. I ran up to room 416 to retrieve my glasses. As I did I notice a maid in room 414. I asked if she was the maid that cleans room 416. She said there should be someone there. I looked and saw a maid coming down the hall. The maid from room 414 asked my name and verified that I was a guest in room 416. At that moment the other maid explained that I needed to go down to the desk and get a temporary key. That is when the maid from room 414 suggested she call the front desk and ask if she could let me in. Reluctantly the other maid did so, but when she did she said my name wrong and was told there was no one in that room by that name. In addition, she explained that I was going down to get a spare key. I explained that the point of calling the front desk was to get their permission for her to let me in. I also clarified the spelling of my name. When she clarified the name, the front desk did verify it was okay to allow me to go into the room to retrieve my glasses. The entire time one maid (from 414) did her best to help. However, the maid who was then cleaning 415 was very reluctant to help. If I can say, I would like to thank the maid from room 414 for going above and beyond to assist me, but not praise the other maid for her reluctance to help at all. To paraphrase, she said something to the effect: Sorry, but I’ve been getting into trouble about things like this lately. But the real issue here is customer service, and two different approaches, one good, one not so good.
What would be better, is if all staff could treat all customers the same. Going out of their way to help wins my patronage more than someone who does little to nothing to help (or expresses an unwillingness to help with their demeanor). If the rule is that the customer has to get a temp key, then that should be explained in a polite way and everyone should be saying the same thing. If one says one thing and the other says another, that can be confusing and lead to falls expectations.

The dirty carpets down the hallway, the unfriendly staff, the price that I paid for a room with a view of a rooftop was not acceptable. I try to get the room changed and I was refused twice.
