Great historic hotel with fun food and drink option co-located.

Everything! Pleasant check-in with one of the owners. It was Thanksgiving day and I very much appreciated that he allowed me to check in earlier so we could all be with our own families at a decent time. Room was clean, nicely decorated in modern materials with an old fashioned look and staff was great.
Nothing that the owners or anyone could have helped. The room next to mine had a loud couple in it. Not loud enough to complain about it, but loud enough that it was irritating. Not the owners fault at all.

The Windsor is conveniently located on the Main Street in town.

friendly, good location.
they have stopped any/all services “because of Covid”. no housekeeping, no breakfast which in the past has been available to all -homemade bakery goods on a tray by all the bedrooms. now just coffee in the rooms. there is a bakery in town but not available until 8-9. it was closed during my stay.
having family in the area, there hasn’t been a mask request in the valley for 6+ months. Windsor prefers masking in the Lobby…OK but for an old, out of date hotel to cut back on the only personal services they have…due to Covid…is not a good decision.

wonderful historic hotel. Beautifully decorated rooms in keeping with the building

Staff friendliness, Room cleanliness, Hotel charm, Ample parking, Walkable locations, In-room coffee maker, Room decor, Ice availability, Property cleanliness, Museum pieces, Shower amenities, Quiet space, Elevator access, Air conditioning, Bed comfort, Door security.
Overpowering perfumed smell in room possibly due to carpet cleaner product (?), no views from the windows, unstaffed property overnight, one room key given, no breakfast opportunity (the food truck hours were posted as 8am but instead they opened at 9am).

The only thing that was amiss was the fact that we didn't get more towels. Water restrictions were in place but we understood. That did not dampen our stay, overall everything was pretty awesome.

Located conveniently right on the main street. Easy access. Parking on the street right next to the hotel. It's always special to stay at a historic hotel in Colorado. This is one of the oldest if not the oldest one in the state and it's nice to be able to look forward to a unique place with a good restaurant while you are traveling.

Everything. This place is a gem. A beautifully renovated historic boutique hotel with a top notch chef and restaurant.
It's difficult to come up with anything negative to say about the hotel or the staff.

The historic hotel had high ceilings.
The rooms weren't very clean.

We loved this historic hotel! The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed reading the newspaper clippings about the history of the hotel. The food truck in the courtyard was very convenient, as there are very few food options in town, especially after 8pm. The food truck was able to accommodate my gluten-free needs. The brewery, which is the other main place to dine out, was also nearby.
It was inconvenient that the dining room closed so early (8pm), and that it was not open on Sundays.

The Windsor met my expectations
I really have no complaints

Del Norte is a very small town and the Windsor Hotel was an unexpected find. Staff were exceedingly friendly, the hotel very clean, the bedroom spotless and very large and well equipped and we had a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant-great menu and very well served.
We had no issues at all. The hotel might think of serving breakfast which would be an added bonus for guests staying there as options in town are limited for breakfast.

Loved the charm of the hotel and the friendly staff. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We were happily surprised to find the great bbq and bluegrass music in the hotel’s courtyard. What a fun night!!
There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

It’s expensive for me so my stay was probably a one - off.

Great restaurant. Fantastic wine list. Room was perfect.
At 8:05am the food truck started playing loud music.

Loved our night at this historic hotel in Del Norte. Rooms were comfortable, temperature control excellent and we loved this old town. Sorry to have missed experiencing the lively bar scene and dining room, we highly recommend in the area, convenient to the Wolf Creek ski area and birding in the Monte Vista NWR.

Absolutely nothing to dislike!

Spacious room. Very tasteful.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I was riding the GDMBR on my bicycle and didn't know if I would arrive during their front desk business hours, and they were able to put my key in the outside lockbox so I could get to my room. It was a huge load off my mind! Room was very clean and comfortable.
No microwave or mini fridge in room, but that wasn't really a big deal.

This old historic historic hotel has modern conveniences done well without losing the flavor of the hotel’s history. The renovations since last we were here are remarkable. The staff is very helpful even though they are very few, they work hard to make each guest happy.
The restaurant is superb with fresh ingredients and creative dishes.
It is a very well kept secret.

The staff was available and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. On the night we were there, we didn't notice any hall noise at all. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant but the food truck was awesome. Best beignets outside of New Orleans and the fried okra was terrific.
That I only booked one night. I wish we could have stayed longer!
