we came from London and stayed at this hotel which is a special oasis in the town ! we travel to the Greek islands and Long beach island nj where we have family frequently and we’re delighted to stay at the Escalante——
the hot tub and pool were lovely —-
hotel is similar to a key west and Mediterranean style —nothing else like it in Naples —-exclusive and wonderful ambiance with staff that can’t do enough for the guests!
we loved the bicycles and riding around olde Naples —we rode the bikes to lunch at the dock restaurant at crayton cove and then over to third street —
nothing !

Most beautiful private setting. Very small intimate private setting. Only 11 rooms. Try to get the suite with private patio. Breakfast was healthy and charming in a great setting.

The location just off fifth Avenue is perfect. The breakfast croissant with granola fruit and yogurt is perfection.
Could use slightly more lighting in the bathroom

Location and breakfast both excellent.

Breakfast was great, but we conveniently did not receive our breakfast on the last day. I ordered breakfast at 09:54 ( breakfast hours were between 09:00-1030 on weekends). I thought it seemed strange that we had received our breakfast the day before and not the day of checkout, but we decided not to make a big deal about and checked out instead.
We like the staff and the place was kept up very well. IT was very clean.
The only other thing that was annoying was the lack of privacy. The walls were paper thin and we could hear our neighbors throughout the whole stay.
We loved the staff.

Escalante was like a dream!! Blew us away - every morning we would wake up and step out onto our patio - Beautiful surroundings. Marco would pop over wishing us a good morning and presenting us with breakfast. Great fresh fruit - yogurt - granola - croissant - perfect coffee and fresh squeezed juice. What a way to start the day - beautiful spa like setting!! We would go for a morning bike ride (bikes, helmets, lock all provided). Escalante is steps from 5th and just blocks from 3rd. Beach is 2 blocks away - Marco would run us down in the golf cart and check on us all day long - drinks / lunch etc.. (crunchy grouper was amazing). We LOVED our stay!! The staff were like friends and the Escalante like home away from home!! We will be back!!!
I can't think of a thing!! We didn't like having to leave - LOL

Beautiful property in an excellent location - close to the beach & restaurants. Service was spot on & having a nice restaurant on the premises was a bonus. No doubt we will stay here again.
There was a strange noise coming from the ceiling of our unit & we heard the TV coming from the unit next to ours until very late one night.

Everything. Hotel and restaurant are together and encircle the beautiful tropic pool area. Very secluded and surprisingly quiet from the busy and popular tourist street of 5th Ave. It was easy to forget we were in a town. The cottage brick streets, driveways, patios are quite beautiful along with the well kept tropical plants and vines that spring up in every corner and wall. It was all breathtakingly beautiful. The staff was amazing friendly and I felt I could have made life long friend with every one of them. I was also shocked by the cleanliness of the room. I would definitely go there again, and again.🤗. Thank you to ALL the staff who made our 40th wedding anniversary perfect.💖
Meal was a bit expensive (for our pockets) but was the best we’ve had in a very, very, long time. If I could afford it I’d eat there every day.

The property itself was charming.
The lobby smelled nice.
Location was good.
I was extraordinarily unhappy with my stay at this boutique hotel. When I was initially looking to book this trip there was no availability at what was supposed to be one of the best luxury boutique hotels in the area so I booked a room at the Hilton. As luck would have it, closer to my departure date I was able to find a king size room at the Hotel Escalante so I canceled my reservation at the Hilton.
1. There was mold in the shower. I asked for it to be bleached; it was.
2. Phone in the room didn’t work and it was filthy.
3. The room I stayed in had an extremely awkward layout. The little room that had the sink and the toilet was very humid and there was only one integrated switch for the fan and the light and the fan was so loud.
5. I could never have that shutters open in the room because it directly faces the pool and everyone in the courtyard.
6. You can’t enjoy the pool in the evening because they remove all of the chaises and and put dining tables there instead.
When I communicated my concerns to one of the staff members I was told “it is our least expensive room,” a fact that had not been conveyed when I asked the direct question about the room about how nice it was or wasn’t. In fact, I was told that I would love it.
Jimmy, the employee that helped with transport and service to/from the beach was great. That’s the only other positive thing I can really say.
I was so unhappy that I asked to leave. They were also ready for me to leave since the front desk agent told me that I could be refunded before I asked for a refund. Apparently the manager who was not on property that weekend how do you give them permission for me to depart if I chose. The front desk apologize that I did not enjoy my stay. He was the only one who demonstrated any sort of concern for my dissatisfaction. I was grateful for that and the refund. I promptly went to a much better, nicer, cleaner hotel with staff that demonstrated care and concern for my stay.

The property is within walking distance of hotspots in the downtown Naples area. It isn’t a nice, safe and quiet neighborhood. The hotel rooms are surrounding a pool that is heated And there is a small Jacuzzi next to the pool. Nice quiet pool with only a few rooms surrounding it. Good continental breakfast that is included as part of the room price.
The hotel is incredibly overpriced and provides very little conveniences that one would expect for such an expensive hotel. Firstly, there was no phone in our hotel room so anytime we had to make a request for anything, we had a call with her cell. Normally this will not be an issue except cell service it’s not great at the hotel. Secondly, the hotel provides free Wi-Fi however the Wi-Fi access was extremely poor in our room. It varies greatly depending on where we were in our room. When A hotel is charging over $1000 per night including the resort fees and taxes, the Wi-Fi should be on the level of NASA. This was nowhere close. I couldn’t even access my work VPN from my room. The hotel has a cute pool BUT the hotel pool was dirty. The water itself seem fine but there were leaves at the bottom of the pool in addition to insects and other dead leaves at the surface. Obviously with outdoor pools this is somewhat to be expected however, yet again, a hotel that is charging this amount of money should be able to afford regular cleanings of their pool so that they should look pristine. Another guest ended up using the pool net to scoop out the leaves. Unbelievable. The room itself was advertised as having a private veranda. Although this was included as part of the room, the veranda was dirty and covered with more dead leaves. The provided table and chairs had cobwebs and covered in leaves. The room itself is quite small and most of the space in the room was taken up by gaudy furniture that was not comfortable. At this price, one would also expect up-to-date television, refrigerator and an in room coffee machine but instead, the room included an old TV with resolution from the early 2000s with cable access and a refrigerator that was not stocked with any alcohol or beverages. Also keep in mind, if you are flying by commercial flight and not on a private jet, (I’m not that rich) Naples is a 40 minute drive from the closest airport which is Fort Myers.
