Country wood has excellent location. Located right on the river walk and walking distance to down town. We loved waking up everyday and getting to feed and pet the animals on their land.

My only complaint would be the mattresses.

Everything! The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The grounds were beautiful and you truly felt welcomed to explore, there were even walking sticks next to our camper. It was so fun to interact with all the barn animals. I wish we would have had more time!

We didn't like that there wasn't a bed big enough for two but everything else was so great we didn't really care.

The property is awesome. There is so much for the kids to see and do- animals, water hole, hikes.

Beautiful and unique property. We loved all the well thought out details throughout our cottage and all through the property.

Quaint location. Ideal for family with young children. Staff was exceptional. Breakfast excellent. Convenient to downtown Glen Rose and other sites.

My stay was too short.

Very clean and comfortable accommodations with fun western decor. Surprisingly, very large, country setting but just a short walk to downtown Glen Rose along the river. Property has goats, llama, hiking trails, large pasture with a couple of horses and we saw numerous bunnies and deer.

A bit disappointing that breakfast is served weekends only during months of March-November and we didn't know until we read the room literature. Plan accordingly if staying during the week to use your unit's kitchen or eat out. At night, property is extremely dark. Some low solar lights outside and/or flashlights for guest use would be really nice. We never could get volume on TV in Saddle House. None of these were big deals for us, but felt worthy of note.

We stayed in the airstream trailer. It was lovely. It even had board games for children. The park was nearby. We loved the privacy and seclusion. It was so close to the public park. The petting zoo was really cool and it was incredibly spacious on their property. Trailer was pleasantly nostalgic.

Love the air stream and all the animals. It’s very close to the river and historic downtown.

It was a little treacherous getting in and out of the shower.

The atmosphere of the farm life was awesome, the animals were fun to be around and pet. The cuteness of each unit was neat.

There was not enough fire circles available to use to build campfires. We would have to share with other units.

Entire place was exceptionally clean and cozy. Got the kids away from their electronics and enjoying old school out doors and family time. Thank you guys!!!!

Loved the location next to the river. The farm with all the animals. Air streams are great love the retro feel.

Well you are in the woods and their are spiders.

Stepping out of reality and into a safe, magical, and healing place. So many wonders for the kids. The free roaming bunnies, a goat, ducks, & a donkey. The tree house, hammocks, & a tire swing. The full shade. Plenty of places to sit and relax. It's walking distance to Big Rock Park & Downtown Glen Rose.

Excellent family facility

One bed was creaking with every move, other had large indentation in center… person tended to roll towards center. Living area could have been swept or vacuumed, found cookie pieces under center table when it was moved.

Enjoyed the quiet and the animals. Loved walking along the river. Loved the walk around the property. Especially to the chapel in the woods. Great place to take pictures. Relaxing place to be. Sitting by the campfire at night was great!

It was a bit awkward taking a shower in the the tub. The door to the bathroom is a little difficult to lock but we were able to make it work. Other than that it is doable. After all it is a temporary stay and I appreciate that fact that there is a working facility. We stayed at the saddlehouse. It is a cute place.

My daughter and I enjoyed everything about our stay.The animals,the views and the location. We will go back and next time bring more family members.
