it’s based in a great location. it’s a 2/3 min drive from the main strip where everything is. parking is pretty much free everywhere. the staff are also lovely! i would recommend for a 1 night stay. anything more was too much for us.

Room / facilities felt dirty and really really outdated. The bathroom had pipes for the toilet coming out, I felt unclean using the bathroom. Pool was dirty, had dead flies and hair in it so I didn’t go in.

Our only complaint if you could even call it that- we would have loved more towel hooks in the room and bathroom for wet pool and bath towels!

Once you get inside the property, it’s very cute, nice and quaint. Breakfast was great. Staff were very attentive and kind. 30 minute walk to downtown area. Room was clean and comfy.

The outside was under renovation but it really didn’t affect the inside which was very clean and nice.

Bathrooms need a little attention

I was really looking forward to staying at the Skylark after seeing the photos of the pool and view. I can confirm it looks just as dreamy as in the photos! We chose a deluxe room which I think has been recently renovated and it was perfect. Large and clean with a very comfortable bed, and large shower with good ventilation. The pool and hot tub were clean, they are open 24 hours and there is relaxing music during the non-quiet times. There was a great selection for breakfast including bagels, waffles, toast, frittata, bacon, and cereal (they also had plant-based milk). The free parking was a bonus. It’s about a 20-minute walking distance from the town centre but there are places to get food / drinks closer as well. I highly recommend staying here!

It would have been good to have more hooks in the bathroom and the room to hang stuff like clothes and beach towels.

Quiet rooms close to the swimming pool. In the morning a nice breakfast. It has a very nice 60's impression. I hope they can preserve that during renovation. Staff was very friendly, so overall the stay was good.

The hotel is in the middle of a renovation. The -temporary- entrance is at the back but a bit hard to find. To unlock the door, you need to have magic fingers and the wifi is not too great. But as I said, it's getting renovated.

The location to downtown Palm Springs.

The shower was clogged. I told the manager. He could not get a plumber. Every time I took a shower the water backed up to my ankles. The manager said he would refund a portion of the stay and he did not. The hotel is under renovation and the entry is not on the street the address is listed. It was confusing.

Very small bathroom that needs renovation and a limited parking lot makes parking in the street necessary. The breakfast was ok with limited choices and wasn’t open at 7 am as advertised. The walls are rather thin and there was a lot of noise coming through.

the property was older than expected and undergoing renovations. the room was well worn and not as fresh looking as on the website. right outside the back windows of my room old building materials were left in full view (rusted pipes, broken tiles, an old water heater, etc).

Very clean and well maintained property. Delighted to find that the 'front desk' was actually an Airstream trailer, super cute! The pool area (with hot tub) is the 1st thing you see after check in, very nice with plenty of lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas, pool is heated which is a nice feature. Pool towels provided. Also there's a fire pit area with seating. (I wasn't able to use any of these amenities as it rained the whole time I was in town.) Very pretty landscaping, especially the twin palms. Mountain view is spectacular. My king room was quite spacious, with an upholstered chair, large desk area under the TV, safe, cabinet, mini fridge, and a small, low dresser for suitcases and drawers for clothing. Large bathroom with shower only. Bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was tasty & a nice amenity, very nice breakfast room with plenty of seating. Egg frittata, breads, bagels, cereal, fruit, coffee, juices and milk available. I've been in and out of town for the last 6 weeks and this is the first (and least expensive) hotel I've stayed that offered breakfast as part of the rate. Really impress with the Skylark.

As with most hotel rooms, the lighting was more 'mood' than adequate. No light in the shower, pedestal sink (and this is a big complaint with me) no counter space for personal items. Only cable channels on tv with no guide or sleep timer function. I also would have appreciated some light filtering curtains behind the black out curtains.
