The location was nice. Our room had a view of the river, which looked so nice with the stringed lights on the bridge and along the river banks. I could see the great lake from my window if I leaned against it and looked that way. They have complimentary hot coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate in the vending area behind the front desk. The room was spacious and welcoming; looked like the photo from the website. The staff was helpful, friendly and pleasant.

The top blanket had a couple blood stains when we checked in, but the front desk person personally changed the bedding upon request. The toilet ran all night. It was very hot in our room. The vending machine gets stuck, a problem the staff was aware of but didn't mention until I asked if there was a trick to getting my purchase out ... They showed me that you have to hit it really hard to get the door to open. The bed was extremely firm, almost like sleeping on the floor. When we came down for breakfast, the front desk person told us the kitchen staff called off so instead of hot breakfast, they prepared to-go bags (which consisted of a granola bar, a small muffin, an apple, and a small carton of fruit punch)... Not great for my husband who has to limit his carb intake, so we had to go out for breakfast. Also, I got the last bag they had prepared and it had a moldy, mushy apple in it so the front desk person had to go to the kitchen to prepare a fresh one for me (which I appreciate, but still disappointing because I booked at this hotel because it included a hot breakfast instead a less expensive hotel that didn't).

Room and common areas were clean. Staff was helpful.

Wifi was poor. Originally had a large flat screen smart TV, but due to an issue with the TV, it couldn't connect to the internet to get TV service. Staff replaced the TV with an old TV that had a burn line in the middle of the screen :-(

We were greeted and helped by a highly informative, friendly and very professional staff member, enjoyed early dinner with live music on a terrace overlooking the river, had a solid breakfast before checking out. Additionally, we had access to a swimming pool with sauna and the gym. We truly appreciated the overall experience.

close to our activities

bathroom was very small. hair dryer did not work. bed was fair. ice machine did not have ice the first night. For the amount of money spent for our stay was out rageous for an average room.
