Breakfast was nice. Location was good.

The grounds are in need of much maintenance,described as "gardens" on the website. More like weeds, I'm afraid. Pool was filled with bugs, dead and alive. Couldn't use it, disappointed since that was to be a major part of our stay. Bathtub took 20 minutes to drain in Sage room. Though the coffee maker is in the common area/sunroom, staff neglected to refill the coffee, creamer, sugar. We had to make a run to Walmart to buy our own. Trash was never emptied, no paper in women's restroom. I'm sure it was once a wonderful property, but unfortunately now it needs much attention that it hasn't received. Breakfast was good. Staff was pleasant. False advertising on the rest.

Nice spacious room. Great location just a minute ride or 5 minutes walk from downtown. Excellent breakfast starting at 7 am. Free umbrellas during our stay.

The only one thing I was upset about was the cockroach that we found in our bed when we were checking out 🥹

This was our first visit to the White Rose Inn, and also our first stay at any "bed & breakfast" style accommodation. It exceeded our expectations. Lovely views from the "Maids Quarter" room. The room was huge and felt very homey. Yummy breakfast, plenty of protein options. Excellent off-season prices. Perfect location right by the river, but just off the main stretch. Everything was clean, and both the morning and evening staff was delightful and accommodating. The Sherman House is absolutely gorgeous, especially the enclosed porch. We will definitely stay again!

Very minor notes here, just some helpful feedback, not really a complaint. :) The curtains on both sides of the spa tub area in our room were completely sheer, which was great in the daylight, but not good once it was dark outside and everyone could see inside... It would be nice to have some optional pull-down blinds for those who don't want to put on a show for the neighbors. The "art" in the area by the spa tub is just the advertisement sheet that came along with the picture frames when they were purchased, which just made us giggle, but might make other guests think that the "decorator" is slacking. ;)

The staff was friendly and the bed was so comfy. They were willing to work with us to change our reservation.

There was only a clawfoot tub made into a shower. I was expecting a separate shower too. I have trouble climbing into the tub.

I liked the convenient location. Walking to main street, plenty of good restaurants and shops. At the same time - quiet and safe.

I didn’t like how dated the house we stayed at was (Terrace Hill). It needs some serious renovation, and not just paint. The ceiling of our room (French Country) had visible cracks, the bathroom needs an upgrade badly.
