rooms were spacious and clean!
It was very far off the main road. There was nothing nearby. no stores or restaurants in the area.

Breakfast was wonderful, anything I could possibly want! With the bonus of having the ability to create a packed lunch as well! Most people are going hiking, canoeing etc, so this is very thoughtful!
Our bathroom was brand new with lux Beekman 1802 bath products, I enjoyed them very much.
The view is stunning, next time we will ask for a room w/ a balcony, which is a bit larger.
The serenity & peace of this area is wonderful, ALL of the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were happy.
The lodge is from the 1930's so our room was quite small, it took a little time to get used to, we were supplied w/ extra tv tray tables which did help out quite a bit. There was no TV, microwave or fridge, as I am used to having at my other hotel stays, but I quickly realized they weren't as necessary as I thought.
The bathroom was beautiful & new but again no place to put anything down, I was able to work around it by putting a tv tray table in there as well.

Breakfast was perfect. Dinner was good also. Location is perfect as I had a PSIA clinic. The area and snow conditions could not have been better. The staff did an awesome job.
Nothing The stay could not be better!

Excellent food, friendly & helpful staff, lots to do. We really enjoyed skiing and showshoeing, beautiful views!
Some of the facilities (e.g. the "family room") were a bit worn out and could stand updating.

The place, staff, and food were wonderful! We were the only guest at the restaurant for dinner one night, but the service and food were great! Great rentals ski and supplies for our toddlers. My husband had nice memory when he was kid at the log house. Our kids did as well!

We loved the free breakfast and all day coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar. Lots of games/books and stuff to keep you entertained.
Check in was not smooth. I was told that Booking did not charge me.I was charged by Booking AND the lodge as a result of new receptionists not knowing that it was already paid for. Clearly not trained well enough. They even gave me attitude about it and couldnt help me when I asked to clarify after looking at my card charges. Booking's customer service called them to clarify and proceeded to blamed me and said 'She willingly gave her card for us to charge'. Like who in their right mind would willingly get charged twice? Receptionist were also WAYYY nicer to my white partner than they were to me an asian woman. I saw this happen twice where they were more accommodating to white people. Disappointing. The rooms were nice and cozy but not really clean. The pillows had hair on them. Yuck.

The staff, the service, and the food were amazing! The thanksgiving dinner was out of this world. A big extra thank you goes to Patrick who made our 3 day tours through the ADR very fun and special.

Second time here this year. Gorgeous location, off the beaten path, beautiful views. Enjoyed kayaking on the lake, stargazing, and the garnet mine! Also loved the bartender (can't remember her name, but she served us on a Monday and Wednesday night. A+ service!!)
Room could use a bit of an update, but not a big deal since most time was spent outside or in the main lodge anyway :)

we loved the complimentary breakfast in the morning! it was nice quality food and coffee. the location is far from a big town so plan accordingly, but it’s so refreshing to be in nature. we kayaked using the complimentary kayaks and mined some garnets next to the abandoned garnet mine down the road. the experience was super unique especially with the fall leaves. staff were so generous and friendly and everything was clean!
the doors in the lodge only had one lock. I would add a protection lock on the inside of each of the rooms.

Meals some not so good. Waited too long because you are under staffed. A little pricey, all things considered. Enjoyable nevertheless ; but, could be better I. e. More servers. Supply enough food. Seem to run out of a few dishes we wanted. Is that areal elk burger?
