Location

The hotel didn't live up to expectations. From the photos online it looks newly remodelled and most importantly, clean. It was certainly not clean (see photos) and had a musty smell. I knew immediately I wouldn't be back, especially when I could pay $20 a night more and get a much nicer hotel nearby. But, I felt it wasn't the worst place to stay, for the price. And then... We were charged an extra $68 CAD, without our knowledge or explanation, even though we had prepaid through booking.com. I've reached out to the hotel through booking.con regarding this and have had no reply. This is outrageous! We were in the room for one night, and that totalled just barely over 12 hours from check-in to check-out, most of which we were out shopping. We don't smoke, drink, party, or do anything else that would otherwise risk us having an extra charge, and yet here we are. Even if the hotel had been immaculate, I wouldn't stay here again for this reason alone. I had seen other reviewers say they were charged extra fees as well, and thought it was a fluke. Apparently not.

The lace is really nice, rooms and common areas are well maintained and clean. most of the staff was friendly

We made a reservation for a room for 4 people but they overbooked the hotel to a group and when we arrived they offered a 2 person room with and inflatable mattress. The staff on that shift was not friendly, not giving solutions, basically not trained for customer service at all. We had to make our own bed, inflate our own mattress, and sleep in the floor. I spent the first 4 hour of my vacation dealing with them without a solution. Since it was a long weekend we had to stay there since there were no other decent accommodations to move to.

Location close to airport

This was my first and last stay at this hotel. I had to wait at least five minutes for someone to check me in. Once checked in I receive a call at 2am from front desk asking for my first and last name. I complained to front desk regarding gnats flying around room. I had to go out and buy bug spray. I tried to switch to another hotel but all were booked.
