It was a great size and definitely very clean for the money. The staff was extremely nice.
Parking was not ideal.

Beds and pillows were comfortable
This place is really run down. It smelled very strongly of damp and the couch smelled like wet dog. The floor boards are rotting and soggy, to the point of feeling like your foot might just break through in several places at the door and kitchen and bath.

Young man was helpful upon check in. I had trouble finding the office as the address booking.com provided was incorrect. Bedding was clean and the bedroom was nice.
Kitchen in JA-1 needs a decent updating. Countertop was completely loose. I’ve never been asked at a vacation rental to take my own trash to a dumpster off site. JA-1 is a shared half double. The noise from the family next door was very loud. Understandable that the motel can’t control that but I was not aware that I would be sharing a space with thin walls between.

It was a cute little cottage. We stayed Unit F. It did include good amount of kitchen essentials. Unit was clean.
The beds were horrible. Mattress was like sleeping on a board. Unit F was not close to the pool. No where to put our trash. Cottage had some type of musty smell. Did have lots of black nats flying around.

The beach house was pretty an the beds were so comfortable.
You have to pay to wash your clothes, I booked for eight people there were enough towels an wash clothes for 6 an we stayed the weekend,was forced to go out an buy towels and wash clothes. Half rolls of toilet paper in the bathrooms along with one full one under the sinks except for the main floor bathroom you just got a half a roll. You have to clean the house before leaving take all trash out do all dishes ect... then the cleaners want you to leave a tip lol to do what clean the beds? Half the lights didn't work only when they wanted to there were light without a bulb we had to purchase those 8 people for 3 days 2 nights an we had to purchase trash bags. We drove 4 hours to get to the location to have to pay for everything not including the house.

It was not what I had seen pictures of on the website. The apartment had roaches. There's nothing in the area I would not recommend staying in unit ja-1. If offered this unit run away. My wife and I couldn't sleep in the room because of the roaches

couldn’t get remote in living room to work but to tried to watch tv anyways , the front desk was a mile down the road and had a lot of cats in office and I’m allergic to them but young man at desk did come outside to get key out of outside box when we checked out. would stay again as long as I didn’t need to go in office.

It was a cozy little cottage. It’s in a great location short drive to the beach, light house and dining. It was very clean and well stocked with your essential needs.

Roaches in the kitchen and bathroom. Very very little provided (as in toilet paper). Photo and description do not make if clear that you are only in half of the house. Weird Christmas accents (in summer). Tiny living room.

The only good thing about it was the place was clean and beds were comfortable.
I did not get the cottage that I reserved and paid for. The manager was never available to address the problem. I was told only the manager could find out what happened but that it was probably a problem with Booking.com. The cottage I was given had torn carpet, several lights did not work, and was in general disrepair. It was also smaller and cost less per night then what I had paid for.

The locations and the cleanliness.
Well nothing about the property but there was no proper communication, we informed we are going to be late and we got a message that the keys will be in key box at office with instructions however the office location was different than what was posted on booking.com which was actually the rental place. The house we got for rent was also different and we were given keys for two different houses. We went into a house in the middle of night around 2:30AM and there was someone already in the house. The other key was finally for the place we were given. I think the office address (which is at the beginning of the town) must be given by these guys instead of the rental room (which are in the town) address.

It was in a great location. A very short drive to the beach, and you could use the motels saltwater pool even though we were in a cottage off site. The Outer Banks is just a beautiful place and the Outer Banks Motel was as well.

It was a clean nice home
The property owner lives next door. We had our family staying near by over to have dinner. Our dinner was interrupted by him coming by to accuse us of having too many people staying. He called the sheriff on us for having a service dog, that he charged us for, which is illegal. We didn't feel like they are very veteran friendly knowing why we have a service dog. The sheriff was really nice, but I shouldn't have to deal with them on vacation when we did nothing wrong.
If you want privacy to enjoy your family and not to be micromanaged by your landlord, find somewhere else. I definitely will next time

I booked a room in the main unit (ocean side) and they gave me a cottage inland. The key did not work and the office was closed. We could never get in the property.
The office said we would get a full refund. They cancelled our stay but Booking.com cannot see that on their end. Now I have to wait for hotel to send written confirmation that reservation was cancelled. If I don't get a full refund from Booking.com, I will never use them again
