the unit I stayed in had issues, needs updating badly.

The view from the balcony was perfect and the cabana staff was very friendly.

The room was complete trash. Broken drawers and closet doors. Burnt out lightbulbs. The shower curtain hooks were rusted as if they were 125 years old. It literally cost $12 to replace shower curtain hooks. At the very least, go to the dollar store and buy some that are cheap but actually look decent. I sent a bunch of pictures of the broken furniture upon check in to the property owner to ensure I wouldn’t be charged for damages. They told me to go down to the front desk and make an appointment to have a handyman come out. Excuse yourself buddy, I’m on vacation, why would I contact the front desk and hire a handyman for your dingy apartment? I told them no, it could stay broken and they could have it fixed when we checked out. 🙄 We were provided one hand towel and eight bath towels. No towels for the kitchen, no paper towel which was promised, and only one roll of toilet paper (single ply mind you) As if! I called down to the front desk to ask for a washcloth and they told me I had to reach out and have my request approved by the owner of the property because the unit we rented was privately owned. Still waiting for the washcloths and I checked out yesterday. The concierge staff was mediocre. No one spoke English so it was difficult to communicate with anybody. Room service sucked, it took an hour and 20 minutes to get some eggs and a bagel. The space Marenas has at the beach is overly crowded. They pile lounge chairs on top of each other so you are less than 3 feet away from strangers breathing all over you talking and being annoying. You can’t even enjoy any sort of relaxation at the beach because it’s overly crowded even though there’s 400 Yards of vacant beach directly next to the hotel. Also don’t try to get a tan here because after 2:30 in the afternoon the buildings shade the entire sand area.

Only location and the view was good

I wish the room was cleaner and had better lighting.
