A lovely hotel in a beautiful location with very friendly staff who made us and our dog very welcome. The spa facilities were good and the outdoor spa area was great with the hot tub.

We enjoyed the eveing meal at the hotel but for the price we felt portion sizes could have been bigger. A great range of breakfast choice but our cooked breakfast did arrive cold!

Staff were friendly and helpful. The location itself was amazing and a particular treat to be able to watch the deer from the hotel windows. The spa facilities were lovely, though no protected adults only time. Bed and bedding was very comfortable.

Breakfast service was very slow, and we needed to ask them to top up the continental options. We booked dinner in the adults only section of the restaurant but were then joined by two families with children. Food and drinks were also very overpriced. The room wasn't particularly clean, and had a remote air conditioning unit with a pipe hanging out of a propped open window. This meant we couldn't close the curtains properly and it took up space in an already small room.

The location was fantastic.

Food was absolutely terrible, we were completely robbed. Every drink we collected from the bar even the ones the children did had service charges. The rack of lamb that cost me over £30 turned out to be two very small cutlets. Overall standard of food was very basic and for the money I don’t know how they can justify it. Most of the food from dinner was left from the four of us.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location with super facilities. There were renovations going on at the time of stay but didn't make an impact and staff were very welcoming. Spa was great and they looked after us all very well and were gentle with the first time teens. Breakfast was good selection and quality.

Minor quibbles - the put-me-up bed in the room was small (teenager using, prob better for a younger child) and the blind didn't work so very light in the morning.

Staff were exceptional. It’s exceptionally well catered for children
