The house is spacious and comfy, easily accommodating our capsule of 4 adults and one child. The living room’s view of the lake made for a cozy Christmas experience. While we never met Jackie in person (COVID-19 and all), we always got a fast and informative response for any question we had. They left the kitchen stocked with biscuits and loads of excellent craft beers. Various details have received delightful attention - the peat stove has fuel and an instruction booklet right beside it. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and tablets for it. There are tons of books, board games, DVDs, extra blankets, and extra pillows. The wi-fi, while as slow as can be expected in the region (peaking at 5-10Mbps), performed reliably enough even for video calls.

The living room TV, while functional and sporting two HDMI ports, is quite small. Not great for party games or watching Christmas films.

A lovely house with a beautiful view. A short drive from Outghterard town. I had a great travelling around Connemara. The lake is right in the backyard and it was very enjoyable to go back to the house in the evening and spend some time looking at the surrounding.
