A wonderful, little house tucked away between the farm fields. The inside of the house is absolutely stunning and very rustic with lots of lovely detail. The wooden floorboards, the decoration, the colour scheme, the authentic furniture and art work. The beds are amazingly soft with high quality bedding. Everything breathes calm and rest. The host greeted us on arrival and even helped to carry luggage inside. The sofa bed was made for our children and we got an explanation of where to find everything. The property is conveniently located in close proximity to local attractions, the seaside, as well as some grocery shops. We stayed for the weekend, but could have stayed a lot longer. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The fantastic location, the fantastic decoration of the place and the warmth of the hosts. Everything you may wish for a fantastic vacation. A place I will very likely come back to!

Our stay in Stilleven was exactly what we've expected it to be: quiet, private, charming and romantic. The little house becomes even more cosy when the weather outside is windy and rainy. The location "in the middle of nowhere" offers a lot possibilities for walkers and bikers. There is a castle open for visitors in the walking distance and cosy tavern in the neighbourhood too. Our two year old was particularly happy about cows and sheep nearby. The house is well equipped in everything you may need, including in the kitchen. It is located at the end of the local road, in the middle of the fields, very quiet and very convenient for little kids to play in the garden and around (no traffic). And we were very happy having a lot of interesting books around us, while our boy got from our kind hosts Martine and Jan a bucket of toys. We had a wonderful relaxing family weekend in Stilleven. We'll be back for sure.
Maybe some things could be better, but Stilleven is a magic place, so I'm not sure improving it would do any good.
