Very spacious, friend staff

The young lady on the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful! Staff in the dining room were also pleasant. Furniture/decor was dated, very basic facilities in the room (eg no hairdryer), there was a lack of power points, poor water pressure, no towel rails. There was only one comfortable chair in the room and no coffee table. There was plenty of room for luggage. The buffet meal was satisfactory. We didn’t have breakfast.

As above. I wrote it in the wrong place. I did not approve of the cat having free rein, particularly in the dining room. Unhygienic and not appropriate where food is being served. The heater in the room was VERY noisy - it made a metallic banging/clanking noise consistently throughout the night. This was reported to the front desk on check out. Lighting in the room wasn’t great….only the lamps and a dull light at the door. I didn’t think it was value for money.

I liked the size,comfort and scenery from the room.

The hotel is big and beautiful but struggling for guests since the Civic.

We loved the location and country feel to the Hotel. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable for our stay. The laundry facilities were great and we got all our washing done. Definitely recommend this lovely place to our family and friends.

The rooms are warm and cosy and spacious and I’ve stayed there many times . It’s like coming home.

I drove 1000kms that day and just wanted to enjoy a small meal from the menu . Unfortunately they only had a buffet which is for people to who want to eat to excess. If they had had room service I could have picked a small meal from the menu but this wasn’t available either. Disappointing!

Location and room were good as was WiFi as was free parking. It was the only place I could book in our price range and with no kitchen facilities - which we knew about - it was not ideal for us. Also the restaurant was only open on a couple of days which was sad although the place was almost empty so understandable.

The room and bed were comfortable, it appeared a bit dated, location was good. Our room overlooked the carpark and road and was a little noisy in the morning, would have been nice to have a room overlooking the grounds

Shower could have been better and bathroom was OK. A dirty facecloth from previous guests? was found hanging on the shower curtain rail and a near empty toilet roll was left on the toilet roll hanger

It was a little out of date. There was a smell in the room. The room was good for the cost.

Everything except the hot water situation was excellent. It was an added bonus that it snowed and the property was able to accommodate us for another night. Well stocked kitchen in which I was able to easily cook meals. TVs were available in every bedroom which the kids loved. Very comfortable couches and the house had a good supply of games to play. Will definitely stay here again.

The hot water wasn't working well. We were able to use the hot water in the shower for 1 minute before it went cold and the same for the tap in the kitchen. That was very disappointing. I am unsure whether the property had run out of gas for hot water or whether it was on a timer. To be fair we never reached out about this issue.
