We liked the location when we booked, for the view and proximity to Echo Point. Quite spacious room; comfortable King bed. Good communication prior to stay.

No view, but due to heavy rain and fog - not the accommodation’s fault. We were a bit put out by no obvious place to park - and there was none for rooms with a view - and nowhere under cover to unload/load in very heavy rain (that is every guests’ problem). So what? Well, we were told on checkout that it’s always raining there! So why not do something about that? Superficial, but not very practical, room modernisation - poor power point placement; awkward bathroom basin; leaking shower head; difficult air con management; ridiculous towel rails that didn’t allow bathroom door to open properly; noisy light/fan combo in bathroom. First accommodations ever with no hand towel(s). No face cloths either, but that’s more common.

I wish if there was any pair of sandal to go to washroom.

Extremely comfortable and very well refurbished rooms Staff can be difficult to contact outside reception hours, but are otherwise eager to help. Overall, good value and a great location.

The great rooms are disguised by an extremely ugly exterior, made all that much worse by the decision to paint it as grey as an LNP voter's soul.

Great location and staff super friendly

There was an issue with bbq area that was fixed immediately with staff willing to help on the spot.

Very clean, and the location was perfect! The lady at the reception was fun to talk to. The bed was comfortable after a good hike!

The location was perfect as it was literally a 5-minute easy walk to the scenic lookout of the Three Sisters Mountain range. It was also only a 5-minute driver to the Scenic World Park which we also had tickets to visit. Laura (Receptionist) was very helpful and a wonderful character with a great sense of humor.

Nothing it ticked all the boxes and met all expectations of what we required.

This is a nice hotel with the basics there. The rooms have been done up and a couch was very useful. It is walking distance to echo point. Clean room.

The app based TV was very very patchy and hand towels and a shower cap would be nice. There is no wardrobe to hang clothes.

Location

Echo Point Discovery is the closest affordable accommodation to Echo Point and the Three Sisters. It is one of the lowest priced hotels in the Mountains and it is always clean, tidy and well presented. Many of the rooms have been refurbished (we stayed in two different rooms due to 18 members of our family joining us) The refurbished rooms are beautiful. I also loved the older room. Breakfast is not offered on site but at the sister property The Metropole Guest House in Gang Gang Street. This was really good value at $19 per adult for an "all you can eat" breakfast buffet. As it was a quiet morning we were treated to having our breakfasts cooked to order and bulk favourites like hash browns cooked and put in the bain marie. Echo Point Discovery is probably a twenty minute walk to the main restaurants of Katoomba. (I can't confirm this as we drove to town) A tip for parking is to go behind the main street and park in Big W's carpark.

Room was clean. Close to town. AC was nice and cold to deal with the heat. Close to scenic world as well. Great value for the price.

Shower pressure was a bit low. Shower water didn't drain properly.

Very short walk from world-class sight-seeing: Three Sisters and Katoomba Falls. Very short driving distance and must see: Wentworth Falls and Valley of Waters Track (7 waterfalls on one trail). Best value in terms of price. Excellent room size, beds, and bathroom vanity. Bonus housekeeping clean everyday by professional housekeepers that do an amazing job.

Upon check-in administration person seemed inconvenienced by our arrival. Could improve having a toaster, freezer, shower drain loose and toilet didn't flush very well.

Room was lovely and clean, towels, sheets, beds all beautifully attired. Bathroom fresh and clean - fully stocked tea/coffee facilities. 5 stars for cleanliness. Motel in great location close to walks and cliff top vistas...

Room situation within complex was very disappointing considering paid same price as other guests (room situated next to motels reception area, with shared locked door that wasn't sound proofed so lots of noisy disturbance). Treatment by reception staff (red haired manager) was very rude and abrupt on my arrival - telling me off for something that wasn't at all offensive or significant. Her attitude and response really soured my experience. No cutlery (except tea spoons) provided - microwave situated in weird location below television close to floor meant difficult to use with risk of spills and burns.

The location was awesome

I was disappointed with the cleaner. She came to my door and asked if I needed anything I said we will leave so you can do my room. The lady said what do you need & I said everything, she proceeded to give me the towels, garbage bags I had to do my own room!

The room was wide and comfortable. The location is perfect as it is very close to Echo Point.

There was no towel in the room. When it was time to take a shower, we realised that the body wash/shampoo was empty.

Very modern and clean and very comfortable staff were lovely . Short walk to 3 sisters but a little bit out of town . Heaps of buses though to get there and is about a 25 min walk.

Just a bit sturdier and better lock on the door would be ideal .

Very clean, modern room which looked recently renovated. Comfortable bed, great bathroom. Excellent location within walking distance to the Three Sisters and a cafe/bar/restaurant.

We bought a toaster as not big breakfast people but like a little toast. But that’s just a personal thing.
