good value for money
if you’re a light sleeper it’s not ideal location because of noisy drunk locals

Location ok
Music from bar kept me awake

I stayed in the Blue Room, it was perfect for what I needed. It might be small for two people. I had my own bathroom and a shared kitchen area next to room. The location is near bus stops and I walked to ocean front. Lots of shops, cafes, etc nearby. I enjoyed my stay here.
The stairs to the 3rd floor where I stayed are narrow and steep but they had good hand rails so it was manageable.
The area can be noisy at times and even the pub below if they have music. But it can also be a fun place to have a drink and some food.

Absolutely above what I thought....loved the place and its facilities, would recommend it to anyone definitely worth the money.
Nothing. The room was nice, clean and private

The window in the room was facing Albert Rd. The Coop supermarket was opposite. There was a bus stop. The number 2 bus went to Southsea in one and to the Hard railway station and bus terminus in the opposite connection. There was a Mexican Takeaway next door (not on Albert Rd)
The cook helped me a lot (Key code etc
Kings Theatre a short distance away.
Difficult to get security key code to front door.it was lucky after 20 minutes , a woman passed by and told me to ask in the take away, I was using the wrong code. Eventually found my paper version of confirmation and after 5 minutes found the phone number. 2nd attempt organizers answered. Room allocated. Everything OK 1and half hours after arrival at door.
There had been a serious attempt to make the wonky stairs safe with black /yellow tape and handrails. Really more lights needed to be working especially on top floor

Down to earth, simple room in excellent location near loads of bars, restaurants and shop across the road. The room was a decent size with a good shower.
Everything was satisfactory

Location was great, all I could want for the money.
No complaints from me. Would have liked to check in via a person as opposed to receiving a text, but no big deal.

Location is on Albert Road (just along from the King's Theatre), which, if you know anything about Portsmouth, tells you all you need to know. It's an area replete with pubs, clubs, diverse restaurants (incl. takeaway), etc., along with mini-outlets of the usual supermarket chains. A bit "Bohemian" in character - you'll also find tattoo parlours, herbal wellness shops, etc.
Personally speaking, there was nothing I didn't like - though if you're not an "ageing hippy" (for want of a better term), you might find the [live] music at Acapulco rooms of a Friday / Saturday night a bit "full on" (doesn't continue all night by any means though, and didn't disturb my rest, although I can't say exactly what time it stopped, as I was already asleep by then).

I loved the sweet little bathroom and toilet in my room. The room was so cozy and clean. Bed was very comfortable

Ideal location for ferry terminal and as away early morning, breakfast not needed. Good value for money and help with ordering taxi. Thank you Acapulco 😄

Suited my needs

Good value for money, very cosy and clean, excellent facilities.
Had to leave room to use private bathroom, however I don't think that could be helped, given the layout of the building.

Great location and price.
Basic but clean
Communication a massive let down.
I didn't get the code for the door so spent the night (till 7am) sleeping in my car.
The phone number on my Bokking confirmation failed but I blame Booking.com for that

It was good for the price.
The bed was squeaking every time I moved. Which meant I didn't sleep very well.

The staff were absolutely delightful; very friendly and helpful! The room was cosy, too, and I enjoyed the homely atmosphere. I can definitely see myself staying there again if I need a place to stay for a night.
My only real complaint is how narrow the stairs up to the rooms were. It was awkward to carry bags up and down the stairs, but it is understandable that the staircase is narrow!

I only stopped in briefly, so cannot offer a full assessment - but what I did like was the homeliness of the room and the bathroom - it was, put simply, very cute and welcoming! All the essentials were provided: bed, sheets, towels, WiFi etc. And it's right near a bus stop!
The only downside was the bed being creaky - but, at such an affordable cost, I can hardly complain.

Basic, clean, everything you need for a stop over to see a gig in the Wedgewood rooms down the road. Co op store right across the street.
Nothing.

owner was relatively responsive (would respond the same day)
the bed smelled like poop. SERIOUSLY! also, it says there's wifi but there was not, in a building with near zero reception on mobile phone. room was tiny -- i'm a petite female, and i can touch both sides of the walls when i stretch out my arms, can also touch the ceiling on tiptoe. the mattress was very old and uncomfortable, with a huge crater in the middle.
