My family and friends have gotten together to celebrate a few milestone birthdays. We chose this house because of the beautiful photos and the great location. (The place is actually more beautiful in person than the photos and that’s normally the opposite in my experience). We had quite the range of ages from 4 years to 60 years old. This place had something for everyone. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped, and the outside grill was great for some fresh Mahi! Some of us were very adventurous and went out most days but others chose to relax at the home and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the waterfall and beautiful pool. There are great hiking trails right in the valley and also in the valleys surrounding the home. The neighborhood is really nice for a morning walk as well as being close to some surf spots we enjoyed. The host Cynthia was very quick to answer questions to be sure this was the right choice for our group. And the manager Laura was as good or better than any concierge at past hotels. She reached out to us before our trip and offered to give us any advice before and during our stay. And she even came by and brought us some fresh mangos from a big “haul” she had gotten! She helped us to pick the best luau and to find more hiking trails on the yelp app! Who knew you could find that on yelp!
The house also had games and cards for those nights we just wanted to chill. We just can’t say enough about the home and the hospitality!

Three families, including my own stayed at this beautiful home. It was so much more relaxing, got to spend more quality family time in because it was just like being at one of our homes instead of 3 separate hotel rooms. My son especially loved the pool! Landscaping is done beautifully within the private backyard. Laura was very prompt to reply to any of my questions. We look forward to booking here again

Preface:I have never had to leave a negative review on any rental I am not a complainer/not a very avid reviewer. So please do not discount my review. Positives 1) Great communication 2) Very nice pool/outdoor space 3) Well stocked kitchen
Negatives: The photos for this rental does not reflect the condition of the property. NOT A LUXURY UNIT! It is very worn and dated and on a very busy street/Bus Route. I wish I could share my pics to show the differences. NOT WORTH THE PRICE - rent an alternate unit for the $.
1) Cleanliness: Superficially clean but hair in the bathroom drawers, hair in the playing cards, soap scum, roaches (yes I realize it is the tropics), lots of stains on furniture 2) Furnishings of very poor quality: Except the piano and some antiques/Indonesion pieces the furnishings are very old and worn. 2 couches/ottoman covered with cheap plaid quilts/sheets. Dining chairs covered with cheap covers in a coffee motif 3) Paper covering the windows in the family room? Other windows overlook same area so why? 4) HUGE list of do's and don'ts NOT shared prior to rental 5) Air conditioner in Living Room/Kitchen does not work. Only the Bedroom air conditioner and a mini split in the FR
6) Lock out apartment used by owners 21yo son intermittently - we had #3- 20-22 year old girls who would not have been comfortable with a strange man on the premises - this information should have been shared in the listing not 2 weeks prior to rental date

This by far was one of my favorite VRBO’s that I have ever stayed at. It was great for our family. Had lots of space. A great pool for our kids and our family. We are so lucky to stay here we highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a great location on Oahu.

The house is gorgeous. We had a wonderful vacation. We were six adults staying for 8 days. We enjoyed the great kitchen and dining areas. The pool and jacuzzi were excellent. Lots of space so everyone could enjoy themselves without crowding one another. Lori was able to let us arrive early. She was extremely responsive to any questions. Much Aloha and mahalo.

We enjoyed our time here very much! We traveled with my parents, kids (7, 9) and my brother/his girlfriend. The home is spacious, pool and outdoor courtyard are relaxing and wonderful. A/C is excellent in bedrooms and the beds were so comfortable. Master bedroom is huge! It can get a bit warm in main living spaces but opening the doors allow the tradewinds to cool things down - that along with fans were pretty effective. The property manager was very responsive and eager to ensure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. Very close to shopping, quiet neighborhood and relatively easy access to a lot of attractions. We would happily return.

My boyfriend and I brought my parents to Hawaii (Oahu) for the first time at 71. The trip was amazing!
PROS: pool and hot tub were very convenient and relaxing. Location was amazing. Laura, the grounds keeper, was very communicative and kept us informed. Adequate kitchen ware to allow cooking most meals in the home. Furnished nicely.
CONS: the home was tidy but some areas not clean i.e. the master bathroom counters, half an inch of dust on all ceiling fans. No air conditioning in the living areas of the house, only the bedrooms. Probably would have picked a different spot due to my parents and their age if I had known no air conditioning in the main part of the house. Doors and windows needed maintenance. A very nice home but definitely needed some updating as far as general maintenance i.e. the kitchen sink had an old, moldy odor coming from the sink and underneath in the cabinet in the kitchen.
Overall, the house was beautiful and helped make our Hawaiian adventure more memorable.

What a great property! The layout is perfect for a family. Great layout with kitchen and pool, it feels like a high-end vacation property, even though it isn't in a touristy part of Oahu. The proximity to shops is simply great! Folks can walk to coffee and groceries and restaurants. After a day of exploring, we loved coming back to the "villa" my family called it! We have already forwarded it to other friends. Great place!

From the moment we walked into the house, we knew we had found a special place. This house took our trip to the next level. So incredibly beautiful and the pool and hot tub were the best! The perfect location to travel from all around the island. The communication from Laura was incredible and we felt so spoiled. If we ever come back to Oahu we will stay here again for sure. This house was beautiful, comfortably furnished, had a great kitchen with everything you needed to cook and eat in, and the yard with private pool and hot tub was amazing and very clean.
Communication with the host was very easy and always quick to reply.
The location is walking distance to a grocery store and strip mall with restaurants, and a short drive to downtown Honolulu in one direction as well as close to lots of beautiful beaches and scenic points.

This property worked so well for our grandkids. Pool was incredibly convenient and easily viewable from many rooms in the house. We also enjoyed the kitchen with high-end appliances and could avoid the long waits and crowds for restaurants in Honolulu.

The property had everything we needed for our stay on O’ahu. It’s in a nice, quiet location with local shops - food court, supermarket & pharmacy - only a 5 minute walk away.
The local property manager LauraMae was also very helpful and attentive when required but also respectful of our privacy.

We loved the place, very clean and well maintained. The space was large and perfect for us, we went as a group of friends. Rooms were air-conditioned and the private pool was amazing! A short drive from busy Waikiki, the place delivers on its promise of a quiet getaway!

This was a perfect place for us to meet our Aussie daughter and her family, including a 2 1/2 and 1 year old, to acclimate to different time zones before heading off to the Big Island for a large family reunion. The area is well located on the outskirt of Honolulu. It is quiet and convenient to touring Oahu, with easy access to highways and the coast. The Foodland shopping center is a 5 minute walk, with several take out restaurants. Laura Mae, the property manager, couldn't have been more helpful or responsive.

What a unique property! Large home with plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The addition of a pool in the back was a definite plus and was used every day by someone in the group. The house was not exactly "baby proof" for the 1 year old in our group, but that was a simple remedy. Location was fantastic with a grocery two blocks away along with a strip mall with restaurants and a Starbucks! Far enough from the density of Honolulu proper, but everything we had on our itinerary was generally within 30 minutes drive, The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and the addition of A/C in the bedrooms was very welcome.

Lovely Fun and Relaxing
We all enjoyed our stay in Aina Haina the house was perfect for the seven of us. It worked out great for my 6 yr old granddaughter to be able to go to bed at her usual time while the rest of us could spend a beautiful evening around the pool and in the hot tub. Such a perfect setting to relax and unwind from our adventures of the day. We prepared several meals in the beautiful and spacious kitchen. The location was also great for getting around the Island. It was warm but it cooled down enough in the evenings with wonderful breezes having doors and windows open. I’m thankful there is air conditioning in the bedrooms. Sleeping in a cool room meant we could wake up feeling refreshed and well rested! We had spent 2 days at a hotel in Waikiki prior to moving into the house and we are grateful to Laura for allowing us early entry into the home. Thanks for helping to make our stay in Oahu such an enjoyable one!! Mahalo

Due to uncontrollable circumstances, it has taken us three years to finally reach the islands. Well worth the wait. The homeowner, Cynthia, has been so wonderful in rebooking us each year and LauraMae, the property manager, has been wonderful as well. They have been so friendly and warm and quick to initiate communications regarding the readiness of the house and such. What beautiful people.
The home itself? OMG! Everything that we expected and more. This home is clean, beautifully designed, and the floor plan or layout of the home was amazing. It was nicely furnished and the beds were amazingly comfortable and clean. The yard of the home was beautifully landscaped with nicely trimmed grass and tropical plants which accented the pool and jacuzzi beautifully.
We give this home five out of five stars however there was only one thing that we really didn't like and that was the fact that we had to leave. This was truly our home away from home. Peace and Quiet
It was a very nice retreat. We had a great time during our stay. It had everything I needed to grill and make our meals when we were not out and about. It was a relief to call it home for the week we stayed. I cannot complain too much. There were a few minor issues that would have made things even better but in the scheme of things they do not warrant negative review. They offered to fix the few issues that arose immediately but I felt they could be resolved after we left. If there was one wish, it would be that the A/C worked in the whole house as well as it did in the bedrooms. No issue sleeping at night. The Tradewinds were not enough to cool the house to be used by a northerner like myself. For many I am sure it would be fine. I am in shorts outside in the winter shoveling snow so I am not the norm. It was a known factor before renting the house hence why I say “wish.” That said most evenings were quiet and peaceful. I do recommend the place regardless of my intolerance to heat inside the house. Again not a show stopper by any stretch.

Absolutely luxury in Hawaii
The property was phenomenal. It rained almost every day but you know what? Hawaiian rain in a hot tub is AMAZING. Everything was clean and there was enough room for the 6 of us to hang out and enjoy our vacation. There were a few things that were a little odd - the overhead fan in the living room didn't work or the light switch was somewhere we never found and we thought the A/C would be in all bedrooms but we could only get it to work in the master - but overall, for the size and quality of the propety, it was a fantastic experience.
