Old building full of character
Friendly staff
More of a 3-star hotel, not 4-star. Expensive for the facilities.
small room.
Bathroom very small, wc almost unusable as so small.
Shower over bathtub difficult to use without getting water everywhere.
Had to climb over bed on one side to get into bed.
Electrics seemed a bit dicey.
Breakfast only from 8 am, had to miss as early ferry.

Stunning historic building set in the most tranquil grounds but very close to St Malo

The location was very pretty. I loved looking out of my bedroom window to the lake and listening to the birds in the trees - it was so tranquil. I even saw a hare run across the big lawn.

This was one of the nicest breaks we have ever had. The bedroom/lounge suite was exquisite & so spacious with French windows, balcony with a view of the gardens & lake. Nicolas, our host, was wonderful & it helps that his English is so good. He drove us into St Malo several times (free of charge). The breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner we enjoyed on our last evening.

the Chateau was located in the beautiful French countryside but a short drive to the town of Saint Malo. the whole place was charming, welcoming and comfortable. The Director and staff were professional, kind and very accommodating and made sure our stay was wonderful- we loved it! really recommend having dinner in their restaurant, the food was delicious!

Amazing chateau, very beautiful inside as well as outside. The people are also amazing and welcome, make you feel home and relaxed. The restaurant is very nice in the property, there is a Loft as wellend a convenient parking. Breakfast was awesome. Very much recommend, all was top!!
The meat in the restaurant, was toooo hard. For France not nice to serve not good meat ))

The hotel "Chateau" is a great place to stay and has superb ambiance throughout. The staff are excellent and very helpful and converse great in English too. The breakfast was very good. The grounds are worth exploring and the hotel is only a short drive from the historic town of St Malo. We would definitely stay here again. And... look out for the Red Squirrels!!!
Sadly, the restaurant was closed on the evening we stayed albeit there were plenty of guests but, we all had to eat out e.g. in St Malo. The staff were good and recommended a restaurant. The bed was not comfortable however, this might be a personal preference.

A little old fashioned (but, that was also the charm, so they can’t win with me here).

Grand old country mansion on a large property. Staff was excellent. Very warm and helpful. Room was comfortable. Had in room espresso maker. Very good restaurant. Breakfast was very good. The grounds are interesting for a walk.
Wi-fi could be better.

Full of character.
Aircon might have been helpful but we were only staying one night and it was managed. but the property is old so and w enjoyed the quirkiness of the hotel.

Quirky chateau type hotel, with a nice ambience. A good place for a one night stay on the way back to catch a return ferry trip or for say 2-3 days if you prefer not to stay in City centres. Very friendly and helpful staff. Charming place.
Although just outside the St Malo suburbs, it really is in the middle of nowhere and not easy to find. Do not stay if you want to see, visit and eat in St, Malo City Centre.

Nice building, very helpful staff
our ‘classic’ room was very small with the bed against the wall making it necessary to climb over my wife to get to the bathroom
4.5
Lovely hotel in pleasant grounds, but not too long a drive to the ferry port.
Pleasant & helpful management & staff.
Nothing.

Beautiful castle with gardens. Very spacious rooms, which came with fluffy towels and robes.
The communal areas included a very well decorated sitting room for drinks, a dining room and a sun room for breakfast. The very large garden areas also had seats.
Breakfast cost extra, but was still very good!

The food was amazing and they deserve a Michelin star. I have eaten at The Savoy Grill and other Michelin starred restaurants and their food is comparable with the Chateau.
Nothing, it was exactly as I was expecting.

Everything about the Chateau was lovely- the peaceful setting;the large bedroom and very comfortable bed;the helpfulness of such pleasant staff and the excellent food

Amazing staff, very friendly, wonderful welcome, ensured they could offer the entire menu gluten free for a coeliac in our party and a lovely location, ideal for the ferry. Could not have been better. Thank you.

A wonderful way to spend our last night in France. Excellent accommodation, a beautiful setting and glorious food.
The management and staff were superbly attentive and friendly and it was only a 15 minute drive to the St Malo ferry terminal in the morning rush hour.

Breakfast not applicable. Dinner was delicious despite being more Eastern than French.
Liked the architecture of the Chateau, and furnishings within public rooms.
Loved the fact that the bathroom was warm.
Bathroom needed updating, carpet in bedroom stained in parts. Room could have been a bit bigger.
