The villa was beautiful and located in a quiet, secluded location but only 5 mins drive to the local town. The gardens were lush and beautiful and the pool sparkling clean. With young children it was also good to see that the pool was fully fenced off. We did have a number of issues with the villa around plumbing, aircon and dishwasher however René, the property manager, did an incredible job fixing these quickly. Would definitely recommend this as a wonderful place to stay.

Wir waren zu viert als Familie für eine Woche zu Gast in dieser schönen Villa. Im EG gibt es den Masterbedroom, Bad über den Gang zu erreichen, ein Schlafzimmer mit En-Suite Bad und ein weiteres "Kinderzimmer" (2 einzelne Betten) das sich das Bad mit dem Masterbedroom teilt. Eine wunderschöne Küche mit Gasherd, bestens ausgerüstet, obwohl wir viel Essen waren ;-). Das Wohn- Esszimmer ist super gemütlich und aufgrund der Abends noch frischen Temperaturen wurde es auch genutzt. Man kann mit einem Holzkamin schön einheitzen und einen Abend vor dem Kamin verbringen. Es schließt sich eine wunderbare Terrasse mit viel Platz an. Perfekt um sich zu sonnen und die Seele im Rauschen der Palmen baumeln zu lassen. Für die Kids gab es WLAN :-), eine Boulebahn, Tischtennis und Platz für Ballspielen. Den großen schönen Pool mit ausreichend Liegen haben wir aufgrund der Temperaturen nicht genutzt. Aber auch das reine Liegen am Pool war herrlich. Im Untergeschoss gibt es wohl eine weitere komplett ausgestattete Wohnung mit mehreren Bädern und Schlafzimmern, allerdings nicht von oben aus zu erreichen. Wir haben nur das "halbe" Haus genutzt. Die Einrichtung war ansprechend, gemütlich und die Betten sehr bequem. Das Beste am Haus war René. ;-) er wohnt auf dem Grundstück in einem extra Häuschen und ist wahnsinnig hilfsbereit und sehr nett. Er war stehts über WhatsApp zu erreichen und immer zur Stelle. Die Kommunikation war sehr einfach. Alle seine Restaurant Tipps waren perfekt! Wir werden wieder kommen!! Die umliegenden Orte und auch die Strände sind jeweils innerhalb von maximal 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Alles easy. Wir waren nach dieser Woche sehr entspannt und haben vorallem auf dem Besuch eines botanischen Gartens verzichtet, den hatten wir ja direkt vor der Tür! Wunderbar.

Quinta Amarela is a beautiful villa with great facilities and very well equipped. We had a lovely time with three generations of the family. We enjoyed the large garden, and several even swam in the pool in mid-November, making the most of the Portugese sunshine. Rene was a really helpful and friendly host.

We verbleven in dit prachtige huis met 2 families. Binnen in het huis genoeg plaats voor iedereen . Keuken met alle mogelijke voorzieningen. Mooie slaapkamers met genoeg ruimte. Ruime badkamers. Goed weekend internet. Ongelofelijk mooie tuin met verborgen plekjes , prachtig zwembad . Dagelijks vers fruitsap door de nabijgelegen appelsienen bomen. Nog een pluspunt René die steeds paraat staat met hulp en tips . Dankjewel René je bent echt zo waardevol! We gaan zeker nog is terug , we hebben echt genoten

Das Objekt ist einfach nur ein Traum! Absolut atemberaubend! Schon der erste Eindruck hatte uns komplett umgehauen. Der Garten ist das absolute Paradies: Palmen, Kakteen und weitere exotische Pflanzen. Wir durften unsere eigenen Granatäpfel, Avocados, Limetten, Zitronen, Orangen, Trauben und Oliven nach Belieben selbst ernten. Die Einrichtung des Hauses entspricht einem sehr guten und vor allem mediterranen Standart. Es gab für uns nichts, was es nicht gab. Selbst eine Wärmflasche gegen Bauchweh, eine KwietscheEntchen für badende Kinder, einen Einkaufswagen mit großen Beuteln haben wir vorgefunden. Der freundliche Verantwortliche vor Ort, Rene, wohnt ganz in der Nähe und war für alle Fragen und Bitten sofort zur Stelle. Er gab uns zudem tolle Tipps für gute Restaurants und Freizeitaktivitäten. Gerne wieder!!!!

Traumhafte Atmosphäre in einem der schönsten Orte auf diesem Planeten!

Group of three couples and seven children of all ages. Property is fantastic and very well maintained. Great amenities and equipment. Huge garden and pool all very well maintained. We had a fantastic holidays.

Es war ein toller Urlaub! Die Villa ist super und von einem wunderschönen Garten umgeben. Wir waren 3 Familien: 6 Erwachsene und 6 Kinder zwischen 3 und 10 Jahre alt. Die meiste Zeit haben wir natürlich am hauseigenen Pool verbracht. Die Kinder waren unermüdlich und sind stundenlang ins Wasser gesprungen. Wenn sie mal eine Pause eingelegt haben, wurde Tischtennis gespielt. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet! Da findet man viel mehr als manch einer zu Hause hat :-) Essen kann man auch im benachbarten Ort Olhao - da gibt es eine riesige Auswahl an Restaurants. René ist ein Supernetter-Gastgeber!

We booked our stay kind of last minute and did not know what to expect. From the minute we arrived to the end this place was just heaven. Our host Rene was so helpful and kind, he made us feel welcomed from the beginning to the end. The house is so well decorated and gives you a taste of authenticity. The swimming pool is gigantic our kids had so much fun. We played pétanque, enjoyed fresh squeezed orange juice from the trees . We had a blast. Definitely recommending this property and we will be back for sure.

Que du bonheur dans cette magnifique propriété. 10 jours, 3 générations, une entente parfaite du fait de la bonne répartition des pièces dans la maison. Chacun a pu avoir son indépendance, aucune gêne entre les uns et les autres, grande table pour se retrouver et partager de bons moments. Les extérieurs sont magnifique, grande piscine. Tout est beau et fonctionnel. Et René, qui nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Toujours disponible, très gentil et très discret. Je recommande fortement en famille mais aussi avec des amis. L’Algarve c’est juste magnifique et cette propriété juste formidable. Merci merci pour tout cela

Hervorragendes Haus mit tollem Garten.

Van jong (5 jaar) tot oud (82 jaar): heel de familie (we waren met 11) was laaiend enthousiast over deze prachtige plek in de Algarve. Op een half uurtje ben je met een huurauto van de luchthaven van FARO in het paradijs... René ontving ons heel hartelijk en was altijd in de buurt voor raad en daad. Het huis is super smaakvol en charmant ingericht, met prachtig houtwerk, mooie decoratie, sfeervolle verlichting, ... En voor de tuin komen superlatieven al helemaal te kort: hij is nog veel mooier dan op de foto's en in het filmpje: je waant je een beetje in de jungle, qua sfeer (prachtige palmbomen, bananenplanten, cactussen, aloë vera, ...), maar alles is wel heel mooi en netjes onderhouden. En van de vele appelsienenbomen hebben we liters sap geperst!! Nooit gedacht dat deze half april al zo rijp zouden zijn. En dat de kindjes in deze periode van het jaar al elke dag in het zwembad zouden zitten. Je verblijft in een rustige streek van de Algarve, niet tussen het massatoerisme, wat wij alleen maar als een voordeel hebben ervaren. 100% aan te raden, zonder meer...

Het woonhuis is prachtig, een antieke mix van Portugees en Frans waardoor een tijdloze sfeer heerst. Tel daarbij op een lusthof opgebouwd uit voornamelijk subtropische planten en onze vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer René die altijd klaar stond om vragen te beantwoorden. Wij waren met 8 mensen en er was voldoende ruimte voor iedereen met voldoende badkamers, wc's. De verwarming was uitstekend, iets wat relatief zeldzaam is in Portugal. Kortom een geslaagde week!

This property is incredible. It's super clean, well decorated and has been thoughtfully prepared for guests. I highly recommend. We were a large group (5 families for a part of our stay) so we rented the entire property - 2 self-contained units (upstairs/downstairs) with 3 bedrooms each and a separate little cottage with a double bed. We had young kids with us so we really appreciated the childproofing at the house. The upstairs patio is well fenced and has gates at the top of each stairs. The pool area is separated from the house side of the garden by a gated fence that runs the entire length of the garden. The highlight is the large pool, which is very clean and well maintained, with lots of comfortable loungers. And the garden is just beautiful - there is an orange grove and also fig, avocado, lemon trees and more, a swing set, a nice lawn area and a little covered table in the middle ... just perfect. Both units in the main house have been recently remodeled and are decorated to a high standard, with lots of original character and traditional touches retained. Overall the upstairs unit is better - mainly because the kitchen is bigger, the main room is brighter and the upstairs bedrooms have air-conditioning while the downstairs do not. Having said that, the downstairs bedrooms were larger. The kitchens were well stocked with great appliances. Great separate laundry room. The internet connection was OK - for work on a VPN connection only 1 person could be on it at a time - but for regular web surfing it was fine. We didn't use the little cottage - it's cute and nicely done but probably doesn't get much use. The house is about 25 minutes from Faro airport, about 20 minutes from Tavira (both the town and Barril beach on Ilha da Tavira, reached by train - great outing for small kids) and driving to other beaches along the Algarve was easy. Overall, I would highly recommend - a great base to explore the Algarve from and a perfect private retreat.

La Quinta Amarela est vraiment un endroit exceptionnel que je recommande sans aucune hésitation. Nous y avons séjourné en famille (4 couples et 3 jeunes enfants) et grâce à l'espace disponible aussi bien en intérieur qu'en extérieur, nous nous y sommes sentis vite très bien installés. Rien ne manque, ou en tout cas, ne nous a manqué lors de ce séjour. A l'intérieur, les pièces n'ayant pas été redistribuées par rapport au plan initial de cette villa ancienne, bien rénovée, les formes des chambres sont parfois assez étranges (toute en longueur ou en "L") et du coup, toutes n'ont pas de lit double. Mais, cela fait aussi le charme de cette demeure. La cuisine est très bien équipée et adaptée à de grandes tablées. Les extérieurs sont vraiment magnifiques et très bien entretenus, il s'agit vraiment d'un parc exotique depuis le bas de la villa jusqu' à la grande piscine au bout du jardin, bien protégée par un grillage et un portillon. Le libre accès aux fruitiers (orangers, néfliers, avocatiers, citronniers,..) a fait le bonheur de tous nos petits déjeuners! Les alentours sont très calmes et consistent essentiellement en d'autres plantations, orangeraies en particulier. La position géographique est idéale pour découvrir l'est de l'Algarve de Faro à Monte Gordo.
