This is the second time we stayed at Blue Bay and it was just as wonderful as ever. The house is fantastic for family gatherings. The location right on the beach is the absolute best. The wonderful historic district is within walking/golf carting/biking distance. The house is well maintained and well equipped with a large kitchen and table space for everyone. The upstairs porch overlooks the beach and some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. There are beach chairs and towels and the rental company is the absolute best. They not only include linens but put them on the beds! There are shower and kitchen supplies - you don't have to bring or buy any of that! And then check out is essentially take out the trash and turn off the lights! How easy is that? We LOVE this place and will be back!

This house and our stay was amazing! It was the perfect size for our work retreat. The view from the 2nd floor deck was incredible for sunsets. The house was incredibly clean upon arrival and well-appointed, and the beach access right across the street was fantastic. Just one note: don't put any tall people on the 3rd floor as the ceilings are really low. ;-)

Each year, our family migrates to Cape Charles, and we are so grateful that Blue Bay is part of our tradition! The location is the best in Cape Charles and the house is very clean with a stocked kitchen and little amenities you'd find in a hotel. This house pretty much embodies our family vacation, and our kids have grown up coming here. So grateful to the owner for sharing their little slice of heaven each year...the oldest daughter is graduating high school in three summers and I hope we can keep coming back to this house once she's away at college! Love Blue Bay!

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Bay. The most perfect location one could hope for in Cape Charles! We loved the sunsets on the deck. The house was clean and beautiful. I'm sure the owner will make some of the suggested repairs. It needs a new refrigerator with ice and water. Also the deck floor needs repair. It should be noted that anyone over 6'2 feet should not try to stay on the 3rd floor unless they want to bang their head frequently. Put the kids up there.

Blue Bay was perfectly located to enjoy not only the beach, but the town of Cape Charles. It is conveniently located to shopping and dining. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated, providing ample space for our group of ladies celebrating a milestone birthday. Perhaps our favorite place at Blue Bay was the second story deck, where we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. We hope to visit again!

Great. Had a wonderful time. The only suggestion that I have is you may want to install a safety hold bar in the upstairs shower. The upstairs tub is very slippery. Also, I requested to rent the home next year for June 16-23. Never got an email confirming my request. Am I scheduled for that week? Thanks. And again thanks for the wonderful stay we had.

We had a wonderful time in this newly renovated home. Perfect location and deck for watching sunsets. Located directly across the street from the Cape Charles City Beach. The renovations were very well done. Loved the decor. Screened in porch added to the enjoyment.Within walking distance to town and the new Buskey Cidery (hope it stays) and the always famous Brown Dog Ice Cream store. Our family always enjoys renting a golf cart while we are there as all streets are golf cart friendly.The third floor is a perfect get away for a family with a queen bed, and two twins and a bathroom. By far, one of our favorite rentals in Cape Charles. Five Star Review!We had six adults and three children and it was perfect for our group! Hope to go back soon.

We had the greatest time in the beautiful home! We noticed immediately that the house was VERY clean- which is not always the case when renting. We were very thankful and this was a big deal to us! Chessie was beautiful from the kitchen/tile/lighting, we loved the sunroom area and especially loved the top deck for sunsets. My family and I love finding new beach towns and Cape Charles has certainly made our list- but only if we can stay in Chessie again! Literally the only thing that I would recommend is a place outside for rinsing the sand off your feet from the beach. We can’t wait to return! Happy 2020!

Loved it....other than not having coffee grounds for the next morning (that was a personal problem) there was nothing I would have wanted different. Absolutely worth your money. The weather was great and we spent most of our time on the second floor balcony. Ocean breezes and the sunsets were amazing.

Outstanding time
My girlfriends and I enjoyed a quick we can get away at blue Bay. And the weather was not cooperative whatsoever so we were grateful to have picked such a wonderful house to enjoy some great laughs. Fully stocked, spacious, clean, and unbelievable sunsets. Their property manager was absolutely outstanding as well. We were already checking availability for our annual girls trip next year before even checking out.

Blue Bay is a beautifully decorated and maintained home! Lots of space for everyone, we particularly enjoyed the sun porch. Heated bathroom floors were particularly nice for our November vacation! If you have little ones in your party, definitely make sure they wear shoes when in the yard however, the little sandburs are vicious and caused quite a few crying spells.

Perfect House, Pefect Location
This house is amazing. It is completely updated - can you say heated bathroom floors? It has a huge living area just perfect for family gatherings. The kitchen is well appointed. We enjoyed meals in the enclosed porch and sunsets on the upstairs deck. And the beach was right outside our door! We are totally in love with this place. Plus the town of Cape Charles is just a short walk, bike ride or golf cart ride away with all kinds of fun things to see. Don't miss the opportunity to rent this house!

We had a great, relaxing weekend. Overall, great house and location. For some reason, trash cans we missing from some of the rooms but we found in odd places when we were packing up to go home. Second floor balcony is awesome for cocktails and watching the sun set on the Bay. First floor sun room is great but furniture very uncomfortable.

Sea Cottage Aug 2020
House was beautiful and worked well for our 9 family members. Fridge was ok but could have used a deep clean as someone had spilled on the lower shelf and it seeped under sticking the glass in and looking bad. Towels needed to be distributed between the bathrooms instead of most being in the main bathroom upstairs (so downstairs bathroom users knew they existed). Some of the sheets, though clean, were stained - not very appealing. Other than that things were in good order!

Great stay in Cape Charles
Cape Charles is a great town and Chessie View was a fantastic place to stay! We loved the beautiful view. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for the whole extended family. We really enjoyed spending time on the second floor deck with a very convenient minibar right by it. New furniture on the deck would have made it a bit better as some of it was worn from years of weather. We rented golf carts, which is really the only way to travel while there. Would definitely consider staying again.

The perfect beach front property!
Wanted a quiet beach getaway after 3 months of pandemic stay home. Booked this place as it was enough room for my whole family and it was perfect! Lots of bedrooms for privacy and common space for gathering to eat, watch TV or hang out and chit chat. And very important - plenty of bathrooms! Would definitely recommend this home and looking forward to another visit.

Peaceful escape
Perfect home for a peaceful Chesapeake getaway for two hardworking families!
With the added stress of the past few months, being able to relax overlooking the Chesapeake was a blessing! The house was perfect for our two small families with teenagers. We brought bikes and kayaks which kept everyone busy, and also went on the clamming adventure with Southeast Expeditions, which was a blast!
Several great restaurants within walking distance and many opportunities for fresh local seafood.
We spent every evening on the second floor deck with a wonderful view of the sunset over the bay!
