Lovely little B&B, great values, friendly owners

Lovely b&b, very comfortable and homely. The continental breakfast had a good variety of items, with more supplies available if required. The location was convenient for the rail station and very peaceful. The hosts were most welcoming and helpful.

This BnB is awesome; it's perfect for when I come to visit my family. It's quiet and it's comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The booking is easy to make online and messages are quickly answered during normal hours.

My room was nice and toasty when I went to sleep, unfortunately somehow, the thermostat was programmed to turn the heat off in the middle of the night, bringing the temperature in my room from 20 to 16C. The cold air woke me up around 2am and I couldn't go back to sleep. I tried to bring the temperature back up but nothing worked. The thermostat was stuck on 16C all night until 6am. I put on 2 sweaters and socks and still couldn't warm up. I even used the hair dryer to warm up. I couldn't sleep from being so cold that I packed my things and left. I wish there had been a portable heater available. Management offered a weak apology, more of an explanation as to what must have happened... Frustrating.

There was nothing negative about the place

The Hosts of the B and B went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Mr Merritt is Coeliac and again they went out of their way to accommodate him. Gluten Free bread, Gluten free cereals and Gluten free croissants were available for breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Bed was very comfortable and room was good.

Very friendly and comfortable and we felt very welcome. The owner is on hand but not intrusive and we liked little touches like access to extra tea bags/ coffee sachets etc. The continental breakfast had lots of choice; cheese, fruit, yoghurt, cereals with gluten free options, croissants and toast; all served in a clean, light and bright dining area ( which the owner allows you to use to eat a takeaway if pre arranged with the B&B).

If I'm being picky it was a llittle chilly in the bathroom but it was minus three outside so normally would be fine - nice and warm in the main bedroom though.

We liked everything. Breakfast was excellent. We had the choice of a cooked breakfast and we could choose our preferences for it by ticking menu options the night before. The room was big, clean, beautiful decorated and bed very comfortable. Bathroom very good, good shower. all in perfect conditions. The owners Adrian and Kate went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. They allow us to keep our bicycles in their big garage, gave us ideas for cycle rides along the New Forest, they made us felt extremely comfortable. We will definitely go back to the beech lodge if we go to the. new Forest again.

We can't think of anything we did not like

Everything. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted and shown to my room. Which was spotless. And I was advised the best beaches to go too, and food places after everywhere was full up that I kept trying to pop into on my drive there. Location was ideal for what I wanted. Which was a relaxing trip to the beach

ReallyBeech Lodge great location for sea and forest. Great nr by high street. Lovely friendly hosts very accomodating to every need. Really enjoyed our stay will be back.
