À FUIR ! À moins que vous ne vouliez payer 65 dollars la nuit pour ne pas dormir à cause du bruit, manger 3 cornflakes mous au petit-déjeuner, car rien n’est tentant. Sans oublier la douche bouchée qui sert de baignoire et la qualité des matériaux qui vous restent dans la main. Autant dire que pour ces services-là, vous trouverez votre bonheur pour 10 euros la nuit partout ailleurs à Katmandou. Dormir ici revient à jeter de l’argent par les fenêtres. AVOID! Unless you want to pay 65 dollars a night and not sleep because of the noise, eat 3 soggy cornflakes for breakfast since nothing is appealing. Not to mention the clogged shower that doubles as a bathtub and the poor quality of materials that fall apart in your hands. Needless to say, for these services, you can find better for 10 euros a night anywhere else in Kathmandu. Staying here is like throwing money out the window.

1. Got exceptional discount on this hotel at only 18$ per night. This was because the hotel is undergoing renovation. 2. The staffs were really nice and cooperative. We had to leave for Pokhara early at 6. They packed us breakfast for our journey. 3. Great location. The hotel was located in peaceful & quite road and just 5min walk from the bustling area of Thamel. 4. Had several halal food restaurants nearby. 5. They provided high quality toiletries.

1. The hotel policy stated that extra charges of 3.5% is added for card payments. 2. Rooms looked huge in the pictures however in reality they were really conjusted.

Hi One thing which I have noticed that pictures of the hotel do not match your expectation. The hotel is more for backpackers. If you are looking for low budget hotel with no expectations, you can stay here!

The pictures posted in booking.com do not match with the hotel. Bathrooms does not have the set standards.

It was good, location was perfect and many restaurants and bar close by.

Housekeeping needs to improve as they didn’t change the sheets everyday.

The Location of the hotel, which is in thamel market where everything is close to visit. And the hotel's room are cleaned..i think good hotel as boutique.

The staff service was poor, they were slow to respond.

Some portions are old and unclean, particularly the rooftop. When we checked, they weren't even cleaning up after someone had dinner or something.

Some electrical socket is not working and lights.

I liked the behaviour and hospitality of the staff. The price is reasonable for the comfort we get.

The breakfast items are very limited for vegetarians.

They have good hot showers. The electricity works really well. Its a modern interior. The breakfast is okay and should start earlier than 8am. My room was next to the balcony where people can smoke so I had to second hand smoke as it got in the room. Guests were noisy in the hallways. The property should put in writing that they charge an extra 3.5 % for credit card payment. This was not stated in the advertising of the property. Overall it was a good comfortable stay for a decent price.

Nice room interior, close to tourist attractions, good breakfast. Loved the culture - we felt really safe to leave our suitcases before going to the mountains.

There's a bar or something playing music loud during night. There are less expensive options.

Reasonably priced for a modern styled hotel, comfortable for the night with very decent location centrally. A short walk to the heart beat of Thamel. Friendly staff members all around too.

Bathrooms are somewhat old and faded in design, would've done with a touch up.

The facilities are excellent for the price point. The staff are fantastic and location is very central. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. This is an excellent small hotel with staff who are friendly and incredibly helpful. Couldn't fault it and highly recommend.

Nice rooftop balcony with a good view over Thamel. Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel offers trips and tours which we unfortunately only found out about afterwards.

Good location - easy for bus station

Timber House is in a excellent location - right in the heart of Kathmandu. I stayed for 3 nights, and arranged a hiking trip through the hotel via it's sister company Himalayan 360. I was very impressed with the quality of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff and the well organized and good value hiking trip. Would recommend to everyone and would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast was very good, not too many choices, but good. My wife was ill with a cold part of the time and they helped her out when needed. Timber House was in a good location for Thamel and was an excellent value.

The hotel services are so good and polite, and the room also clean and comfortable, if you need a place feel like home in Kathmandu, this is the best hotel I recommend .

The hotel was fine but we got to talking with the owner Raj who organised transport and activities on our way to Pokhara and he didn't deliver as promised. Very disappointing I would not recommend his tours to anyone.

Lovely staff

The location is perfect, there is a lot of restaurants around and it’s easy to access tourists attractions. Also the staff is very friendly. Chocolate pancakes were really good.

Our room was right in front of the stairs on the first floor, we could here conversations from reception and all people passing by in the stairs, we could also here the conversation from next room. Staff did proposed to change our room but we had only one night left and didn’t want to pack everything to move just for one night. There is a club next door to the hotel, we can hear the music until late night. The duvet was too small, our feet were out… The bathroom was small and not very clean. I think you can find way better for this price.

The staff were quite supportive and quick to serve. Especially the F&B staff and the Front Desk. The food is excellent and the drink range is good. The room was extremely comfortable and clean and situated in a good location.

It would be preferable if there was a buffet breakfast so then could have chosen quickly and had a quick breakfast. There was ample of choices for breakfast however there was only one F&B guy at the morning counter and he was extremely hassled and confused. There is no lift in Timber House and if the power goes off there is no generator back up.

This was a fantastic one night stop for those arriving into Kathmandu. We arrived late but they were able to provide transport to the hotel, helped with bus tickets to Pokhara ( although a glitch with the eftpos machine might complicated matters a smidge) and provided an good breakfast with EXCELLENT coffee! All the staff (raj,Kumar, Hari to name but a few) were extremely kind, knowledgeable and helpful.
