The location was amazing. Minutes walking to the Plaza Mayor. Everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance. The host was gracious. Had a list of suggestions for things to visit as well! Could not have been happier!!

The condo was perfect for father and teen visiting Madrid. The location is ideal with bakeries, groceries, bars, dining, markets, and metro all within an easy walk. Bed and sofa were comfortable. Also perfect taking off point for tourist sites like the big 3 museums.

Great location and it was so nice to have a living space as well. Host was great at communication.

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It is really close to Plaza Mayor and surrounded by best restaurants. Jose is the great host. He did everything so that our stay was enjoyable and easy. We felt like in a family there. We highly recommend this apartment to our family and friends and would try to book it again if we go to Madrid on vacation.

What a gem of a place. Located on the number one tapa hopping street in Madrid. Short distance from the Rastro. 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor. Everything you need for your stay is in this area ie: hair salon, grocery stores, pharmacy and bars. Apartment was well maintained with some amenities. It was great to have a washer in the apartment for our month long stay. Apartment was bright and airy with a home away from home feeling. Quiet for the most part. If you are in the living room it gets a little noisy at night, after 8pm, but you just shut the sliding door and it is totally fine. Bedroom is located in the back of the apartment and was quiet all the time. There is no elevator to get to the apartment. There are approximately 60 stairs to get to the third floor with well lit hallway. Air conditioner in bedroom and living room was wonderful on the hot days. Jose’s communication and follow up with us was wonderful. We definitely would stay at this property again.

The property location is excellent. The host is outstanding. Very forthcoming, easy to communicate, very open, and did everything to make our stay unforgettable. The lady who was cleaning the apartment was the same way also. The apartment is located on the top floor with no elevator. So elderly and people with disabilities need to keep it in mind. For us it was great. We really enjoyed the stay. If we come back we would try to rent it again and we will recommend it to our children.

A fabulous place to stay close to everything! Especially festive during the weekend of August 15th. It was so special to be right in the middle of true Spanish culture. ❤️😁

José Miguel was an excellent host. This VRBO is on the fourth floor of a beautiful apartment building, and the street has several amazing restaurants. We loved our stay, especially for the price. Definitely recommend booking this!

The property is located in a wonderful section of Madrid. The street was very lively during the weekend and in the evenings however it was quiet in the bedroom.

Jose was very helpful and accommodating (allowed early check-in after a long flight). Great location with convenience to restaurants and public transportation.

Jose was very easy to communicate with. He was honest and accommodating. The apartment is small, but very clean, cool and centrally located. You are only a few small blocks from La Latina metro and Plaza Mayor. It is also close to many restaurants and cafes - including the oldest restaurant in the world - Sobrino de Botin.

The apartment was just as we wanted, everything we could need for a nice long weekend break. It is beautifully kept, fitted with everything to make your stay comfortable. It is situated in a great location with bars and restaurants on your doorstep and very close to Plaza Mayor and the main shopping centre. The metro is just a short walk from the apartment and very easy to navigate around. Madrid is a lovely city and the people are very welcoming, with lots to see and do. Jose was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating in allowing us to arrive early and leave late from the apartment. The only small item missing that we could have done with, but it was no great deal, was a bread knife to cut up our morning loaf. We would definitely recommend this apartment, and have already done so to some friends who are considering Madrid for their next weekend holiday destination. The apartment was just as described/as it looked in the photos. It was bright and airy. The sofa bed was very comfortable, it had a deep enough mattress to feel like a real bed. The shower was hot and powerful. The kitchen area was well equipped. The location was fabulous, walking distance from everywhere, and on a really buzzy street - we didn't have to walk more than a few minutes to get great food and drink (recommend Pez for the tortillas, and La Concha for the manuelas!). Worth stating that it is on the third floor, so a bit of a trek up the stairs. Overall we had a great time and I would book this apartment again.

Very charming apartment on a street with more hopping bars and restaurants than you could need, but the back bedroom is very quiet. Could not have a more central location, with a metro station around the corner. Our only very minor note is that, with two people, you need to make careful use of the hot water for showers. But Juan Manuel was lovely and the apartment is too. Excellent stay.

Nice and clean and José was super nice and very attentive. Great location. Tip for elders: There are many stairs. Tip for Americans: You need to shower quickly!! Hot water can run out fast (note this is not a negative review)

First of all, I would like to thank José Miguel for letting me check in earlier then expected. He took the time to show me around the place. The apartment was clean and cozy. The water pressure was excellent and the apartment was nice and warm. If you don’t mind stairs, this is a great place to stay. Lots of places to eat and very close to Plaza Mayor. The Tirso de Molina Metro stop is near by. Thank you again José Miguel!

Jose Miguel was very kind (letting me check-in early as I had arrived in Madrid on a very early flight). The apartment was clean and the location was fantastic. No issues whatsoever.

El departamento esta ubicado en una de las calles mas hermosas de Madrid y con mayor animacion.(Muchos bares de tapeos y restaurantes que trae aparejado algo de ruido todo el dia). Proximo a la Plaza Mayor, la estacion de Atocha, los museos y a unas cuadras del subte. El edificio es antiguo pero el departamento esta totalmente renovado ( atencion es tercer piso por escalera algo empinada).Luminoso, confortable, bien equipado y con la temperatura regulable segun las necesidades de cada uno. El propietario nos esperaba en el piso a la hora prevista, muy amable ( siempre se mantuvo en contacto con nosotros por cualquier duda)nos dio todas las indicaciones necesarias para que la estadia fuera muy agradable.

Very comfortable apartment in a central location. We easily walked around the city from there to see the sights. Jose was very helpful and replied quickly to any questions.

This was my first VRBO experience and it could not have gone better! José Miguel is a wonderful host and met us at the apartment to give us a tour of the amenities and ensure we felt comfortable. There were 3 of us staying so my sister and I shared the bedroom and my dad slept on the pull out couch. We all slept well and were cozy despite it being the first day of cold weather in Madrid. The heaters kept the apartment nice and warm. Things like cooking tools, salt/pepper, oil, coffee, shampoo, body wash, hair dryer and towels were all available. The stairs are no joke but I like that since it felt more authentic. It’s a great location if you are looking to enjoy some of Madrid’s best places for a drink and some pinxos or tapas! Weekends are loud but again, that is a trade off for being able to walk out of your door and into all the action! We had no issues during our stay and if we had a problem I feel confident that José Miguel would have been available to help. I would definitely stay here again in the future and would highly recommend it for people looking for an authentic experience in the center of the fun in Madrid!

We rented several VRBO over the last few years and Jose Miguel’s apartment Maybe the best one we’ve stayed at. It is extremely well located. Jose Miguel welcomed us nicely. The place was very clean, comfortable, well-equipped and we had absolutely no complaints. The stairs you need to climb to reach the apartment provided a healthy exercise. It is in an old building so no one can expect an elevator. We will definitely come back to that place if we visit Madrid again.

Jose's apartment was perfect for my stay of 3 nights, with plenty of space and a great location. The street below can be a little noisy, especially on the weekend, but the shutters close out the noise very well. Maybe bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper for the pullout couch bed. Jose and his family were extremely helpful and responsive, even booking a taxi for us to the airport on the morning we left. Thanks so much!

This was in the perfect location for getting around everywhere! The unit itself was very clean, the owner very nice, and we loved it. It was extremely comfortable but you definitely need to be able to handle the 3 flights up and down, but we managed just fine. Thank you for this great Madrid experience! It was perfect at night to open the balcony doors and hear the bustling of the community and the pubs below. GREAT! Lots of taverns and restaurants in the area to choose from and plenty of fun shopping.
