Hotel Posada Antigua is a treasure on a side street in Taxco del Arcon. Each room is special and different. The ambiance is one of visiting friends and enjoying their hospitality, their delicious homemade meals, open selection of drinks or hand crafted juices. Dining on the terrace overlooking the city or dining in the dining room adjacent to the kitchen. My massage by Valente was relaxing and perfect. The history of the building is interesting and heart warming. Efren, the owner, speaks English and will share the story if asked. He will also clear your chakras and read your numerology if you desire. If you prefer the ambiance and/or luxury of a commercial hotel, this hotel might not be for you. We loved everything about it. We attributed poor internet service to being in the mountains of Mexico rather than to the hotel. We look forward to returning in the not to distant future.

There wasn't anything about this hotel that we disliked.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is great, and the view is incredible. We enjoyed playing with the chihuahuas.

Noise carries throughout the house, but after 10 or 11 people were quiet, so it wasn't a big problem. We picked a basement room and it didn't have windows. Next time i would get a room on the upper floor.

Great location — even though it was a 15 minute walk on steep hills to the city center, the rooftop has an incredible view of the entire city.

King room barely had any space around bed and didn’t have a window.

OMG the place is adorable and it provide a panoramic view of the village.

I liked everything

it is located within walking distance of the Zocalo. The view of centro Taxco was excellent.

Our room was right under the restaurant. We heard the constant moving of the chairs on the ceiling well into midnight. The people staying at the bungalows next door gathered at the pool into the late night hours too. Not a good place to sleep at a decent hour.

We really enjoy the quality of the staff. They were welcoming, smilling, pay attention to our requests. The manager of this hotel was able to inform us and share his knowledge with us. Don't hesitate to talk with him about meditation and spirituality :). An other great quality of this hotel is it amazing view on Taxco city from the balcony !

The Internet speed was a bit low sometimes

A little gem hidden away in an alley in Taxco but only minutes walk from the town center. Our room was located on the rooftop so we had total access to the incredible terrace views. Loved having breakfast and sundowners while soaking in the views. The staff were friendly and attentive. Effrin, our host spoke excellent English and gave us many great tips of what to see and how to get around the city during our stay. One of the highlights was the Temazcal spa treatment he recommended (and performed) that our whole family partook in. I highly recommend this traditional Pre Hispanic spa experience to learn more about the culture. We would love to come back to stay at Hotel Posada!

While there was wifi in our room it was rather weak and not possible to upload the fabulous photos and videos we took to social media.

27 $ and at the end with taxes it was around 33$ for one night. we think it is a little bit expensive for one night there

A unique property in a gorgeous and fascinating place. The property was a about a 20 min walk from the zocalo. The neighborhood is so lovely and a good workout to explore! The owner is very kind and generous. He came to the bus station to help me sort out a ticket situation. His English was excellent which wonderful as there is almost no English spoken there! He made this wonderful spiced coffee in the morning and homemade bread! The facility was very clean and quiet . The facility also has a lovely rooftop deck and the view of the city was gorgeous!
