The house and rooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed. The porches and patios and jacuzzi were lovely. That waterfall shower head is amazing! Main issue was that the internet did not work for more than 10 minutes a day. The network name and password provided were not correct so we found them elsewhere but even then it was impossible to share a video presentation I had made to celebrate my sister’s engagement. Otherwise, highly recommend this house and Truckee in general.

This home is very spacious and modern. Everyone in our party had a very comfortable stay- every room had plenty of space with large, comfortable beds. The big garage made it especially easy for us to park our cars with the snow. Would definitely stay here again! The only thing we had trouble with was the door handles to the rooms, bathrooms, etc.- They lock very easily from the inside and we accidentally locked ourselves out of one of the rooms. Luckily someone in our party knew how to open it from the outside, but otherwise we would have had to call the owner!

Tl;dr This is a beautiful home in a lovely location that has been managed and maintained poorly by Vacasa. I strongly recommend renting outside of Vacasa or through a local group if possible to avoid a poor experience. If I were the owner(s) of this beautiful home, I’d be dismayed by the lack of regard for my home by management and disappointed with the experience my guests are having compared to the experience they could have in this wonderful space. Material Safety Concerns - No functioning external lighting on the primary external stairway (~20 steps) necessary for entry to the home. No nearby ambient or direct light sources for this area. - Neglect and lack of proper maintenance of the external grill produced a sizable grease fire upon ignition. The grill is located on a second story wooden deck structure. - The ceiling fan in the primary bedroom is missing 2 blades and is functionally inoperable. If turned on, it swings quickly and wildly. It has the potential to cause damage to the home and/or injury to the renter when engaged with no alternate mechanism for powering off. The Good: - Lots of room for families across several bedrooms, relatively comfy beds. Bed linens were okay. Plenty of towels and beach towels - Kitchen has most appliances you’d need and plenty of cooking utensils (e.g. potato masher). Plenty of fridge space and the ice maker worked well. - Deck spaces are lovely at night and have cute string lights - Good amount of table and counter space - Location is good – close to Raleys and highways. Note some noise from the street behind the house during the week. The Bad/The Ugly - General management from Vacasa was poor to unacceptable. o We received confirmation that our listing was available for early check in and headed over. A few hours later, prior to our arrival, we were notified of a significant plumbing issue was likely to impact the availability of the home “during inspection”. At best this indicates an error notifying us of early check in and at worst indicates poor inspection processes for the general usability and safety of rentals. o Another hour later our reservation was updated to this home, and we were texted the address. Vacasa was unable to update our reservation in their system for the entire duration of our stay – 7 days, including 5 business days. As a result, we were missing information necessary for our stay: instructions for use of the home (lights, appliances, amenities), services including trash and recycling, guest requirements or instructions, etc. o 24/7 Vacasa Support via text/call was unable to access an updated reservation and therefore unable to provide any meaningful support for the entire duration of our stay (7 days). o Miscommunication between our Vacasa contact and housekeeping regarding the ability of late checkout resulted in a “you have 20 minutes” knock on the door to vacate the home. Our Vacasa contact did not answer his phone when called after answering the door and did not follow up for the rest of our trip. - The Wi-fi does not work and cellular service is limited. It was unable to support 2 devices for a duration longer than a few minutes before disconnecting. Vacasa did, upon request issue a mobile hotspot that could support a few devices in a limited capacity for the duration of our stay – though connection was passable at best for a day of remote work and numerous meetings and calls were disrupted. Generally frustrating. A worker familiar with the Wi-Fi indicated it has always been spotty/weak, so don’t expect this to be easily resolved. - Cleaning services for the rooms/bathrooms were good but components of the main areas were lacking, including the following: o greasy cookwar...

Went there to celebrate New Year with friends. The location is great, only 15 mins away from Northstar Resort and Donner Lake. Quiet neighborhood. Jacuzzi is clean and perfect for the weather. Everything is comfortable and cozy, except found few hairs on beds and the stove is dirty. Overall is great! Thanks for having us.

Spacious and comfortable home. Everything we needed for a 4 day ski trip. Nice yard for kids to enjoy the snow. Spacious downstairs for multi family if needed. Kids loved the bunk room.

Great cabin for a short weekend get away. Wary of the stairs with young kids but they were really good about walking up and down slowly/holding onto rail. Rail was a little tall for the tots though. Kids loved to “bunk beds” room most. Would def recommend this home for others.

The only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that the kitchen needs to be stocked more with pots and pans, wine opener, and other basic items. The other inconvenient feature was three bedrooms downstairs with only one bedroom and one bedroom with two bathrooms upstairs. But I would definitely stay here again bringing my own dishes.

This property was beautiful and very spacious. The only problem was that it was lacking a lot of basic amenities such as hand soap in every bathroom and a blender. The appliances were also on the used, very low end quality such as the dish washer and toaster oven. Not a lot of extras so bring your own soaps, shampoos etc. It was also a bummer that the hot tub and pool were not available since they were one of the main reasons we selected this cabin.

Great experience from beginning to end. The pictures do NOT do justice to the reality...so much better. The decor was warm and inviting. The downstairs area was perfect for the 5 teens to “hang out”. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of linen. Close to downtown and only 4 easy miles to the lake. This is a property I can’t wait to return to. My only regret is that we didn’t book for a longer stay

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Excellent location, and a large house. We loved easy access to the meadow trail, - walking distance, quick drive to everything else, sunny and bright upstairs living room, and front deck. Loved master bath! Lots of space for everyone, and a fun downstairs room for kids. What we didn’t expect, and what wasn’t in the ad: stairs. Lots of stairs. This house is located at the end of a long upward-sloped driveway. Totally not an issue in the summer, but something to consider if you are renting in the winter. Then there is a long set of steep stairs to get into the house. And inside, there are steep stone stairs between 2 stories. We had 7, 5, and 4 year olds, and a 4 yo ate it on those stairs a couple of times. Nothing major, but might be a better fit for older children. What we didn’t like: this house is advertised and priced as a house with a hot tub. There are a lot of similar sized and located houses without a hot tub at lower prices. We rented the house WITH a hot tub, and it was a bummer that the hot tub was locked. The explanation said it is per Nevada County regulation. I looked up and regulation recommends no hot tubs in short terms rentals, but as I understand it, it’s not mandatory to shut them down. In any case, it would Have been nice to know, and perhaps reflected in the price. As a renter - you see that these rentals are available, but not necessarily read County guidelines prior to your fun trip. With booking fees, cleaning fees, taxes, and actual rent our stay came up to be on a higher end. We had 3 adults, 4 kids staying for 5 days. We got a remainder of a paper towel roll that was used by previous renters, 5 individual/ single use dishwasher soap pods, 6 individual soap pods for washing machine, and Walmart quality wine opener that broke corks on all our bottles. Linens and towels have seen their better days too. With 4 children playing we quickly discovered that many areas of the house, and living room couch weren’t cleaned for quite some time. Interesting discoveries between the cushions. Not a huge deal on a grand scheme of things, but at the price point it is at you can expect more. We rent a lot in TDA, and have seen cleaner, better stocked houses. property management company didn’t respond to a single inquiry - we emailed, called, messaged on VRBO and their app, never heard back

The home is within easy access to Truckee, yet far enough from the main road to feel very private. Great deck for evening cocktails or morning coffee. Kitchen was adequately equipped and furnishings were very comfortable. Lots of movie and game options. Bunk room was a huge hit with our teens.

Very nice property with a couple of issue's. First we were not allowed to used the hot tub because of the pandemic but there was no mention of that in the listing, this was very important to us as its a prerequisite for where we decide to stay. Because of our age and that golf in the mountains it is taxing on the body it is a necessary requirement, also we were charged a fee for the hot tube. Second the bathroom toilet downstairs was wobbly, just info for maintenance. Lastly the TV channels were not all working and we could not watch a lot of channels, could be user error but not sure FYI. Overall the place was nice clean and close to everything and we would stay there again as this is an annual event.
