Vieques was wonderful and Casa Angie was perfect for 4 adults! The pool was refreshing and having a cooler and beach chairs available to use at the beach was amazing! We were welcomed by Aurelio and he left us beer, water and snacks when we arrived. Comfortable beds and heavenly AC at the house. We can’t wait to return!

A perfect house for a family stay in Vieques. The house was clean, had everything we needed and the little pool was perfect for hot days. We could walk to restaurants in just a couple of minutes. We loved everything about our stay!

The photos of the property doesn't do the house and pool area justice. This home is simply amazing and will always be our go to place when we vist Vieques. Aurelio is a pleasure to work with and I cant emphasize enough how relaxing that pool area was. Cant wait to come back!

This was our third time staying at Casa Angie in Esperanza, and we are already planning our return next year. This home is absolutely beautiful - it is comfortable, centrally located (steps from the Malecon), and the pool is worth the price of admission alone. Host is a really nice guy and is always super accommodating of travel plans. Can't recommend this house highly enough!

Loved this house! In a great location walking distance to stores, restaurants, and beaches. The house was very comfortable with water views from the front porch and an awesome pool and outdoor shower in the back.
House is comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. Would definitely return to this house.

Absolutely loved this property! It is even better than in the pictures. Aurelio was amazing. He communicated great and was very responsive to any questions I had. Within walking distance of Esperanza. It had all the amenities and then some. Tried to book the house for next year, but it was already taken. Just a great deal all around for this property!

The kitchen is dated, but the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms/showers were nice, and the pool was great. We would stay there again.

From start to finish renting this house was easy and smooth. We were traveling to Vieques for a wedding and this house was perfect for us. It was myself, my husband, my kids (aged 12 & 14) and my aunt. The only thing I asked for was if there would be an iron available at the house since I would need it for our wedding attire. They made sure there was one at the house for us. Aurelio was a wonderful host on the islan, he answered any questions we had and came right over to put on the generator when the island lost power one day.. this would be my go-to house is we ever travel to the island again.

The kids were excited about the pool and it did not disappoint. They had a lot of fun while we were not doing other activities. The house is not only within walking distance to many good restaurants, but close to the Esperanza Riding Company and the Sports Clay run by Richard. We fully enjoyed both. Most importantly, the owner Aurelio went out of his way to make the arrival and check-in as easy as possible and we cannot thank him enough for that. Would highly recommend.

April in Vieques 2022. Perfect time, perfect place. Near enough to walk to the Malecon in the beachfront, beautiful pool, three bedrooms with good beds, two bathrooms, new living room furniture, excellent communication with property owner/manager. Great value, we’d stay again in a heartbeat.

We are a family of 5 adults who had the pleasure of staying at Casa Angie for 1 week. The home had everything we needed and more. The location was great and less than a 5 minute walk to the malecon. Listing is accurate and I would gladly come back.

We always enjoy our stay at Casa Angie. The house is so well equipped with soaps, washer/dryer, pool, towels, beach chairs and floats, and coolers. Perfect setup for 6 adults! And Vieques never disappoints. The beaches are amazing, the food is on par and the relaxation can’t be beat.

Property was as described. We were very comfortable there. I especially liked the location as it was within easy walking distance to a small grocery and into town. Everything was great except for a lack of hot water throughout our stay. Owner came to fix it but the fix only lasted that day. We sent an additional request to him regarding this issue but it was never resolved. Also please be aware of chickens that will wake you before dawn.
We would definitely rent again if the water issue is fixed.

What a beautiful home and island to spend a week! I could go on and on about the wonderful time my family and I had while on Vieques. From the time of check-in to check-out Aurelio and team were quick to respond for anything we may have needed, including an unexpected welcome basket of goodies upon arrival. The property is just as pictured, very well maintained and in a great location in Esperanza. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

What a week well spent. The property was clean and the pool was amazing. There was a water main break and we were without water for about 12 hours. The owner sent 2 cases of gallon water and a case of 16 oz bottled water. He kept us abreast of what was going on. The beaches were amazing and it felt like we had the beaches to ourselves! Will definitely be a repeat customer. Don’t miss the limber(icies) and flan across the street!

There is nothing not to like about this place. Everything is clean and comfortable. The pool area is great and the location is perfect for a quick walk to restaurants, bars and shops!Communication was a breeze and we loved every minute we were there. Plenty of amenities like beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas and towels for the beach and everything you could need for just hanging out there like spices, cookware, etc. Also, what a treat to get a nice welcome package with Medallia, bottled water, snacks and the fixings for the famous Rum Pain Killers! Many Thanks for the great treat! We will definitely be back!

We had the best time (again) at Casa de Angie. It’s extremely private yet walking distance to beaches and restaurants. Every home convenience is available, from tinfoil/Saran wrap in the kitchen to aloe and lotion in the bathroom. They even stocked the fridge with bottles of water for us. So many little details make this property a relaxing place to stay - like the ice maker which works overtime and the fountain in the pool! It’s so nice having a huge functional kitchen with any utensils we could need to cook our own meals, and even a dishwasher. We could not have been happier with how clean and comfortable the place is. As we stayed a while we used the washer and dryer and they were huge and worked great! We started out sleeping on the king bed but found it a little firm for our liking, switched to the queen bed and were very comfortable. The outdoor shower is very pleasing. The private pool area makes this place! We will definitely be back.

This is a great property for a few days and/or a longer stay. House is fully equipped with toiletries, plenty towels and beach chairs. Even Sunscreen and a few other nice surprises. Pool is really nice and clean. Owner was always available if needed. Met us at car rental to direct us to property and gave excellent suggestions about beaches and restaurants. I have no negatives, however I will point out that while there is air conditoning in all bedrooms there is none in living areas. This is very common in all of Puerto Rico. It may take a day or two of adjustment to the exhausting heat in Vieques. If you open your doors a cross breeze will come right thru. The ocean is across the street. You are also walking distance to restaurants. And if you are in Vieques then you should be out all day exploring this amazing slice of heaven. Be sure to rent a jeep. It will be worth the extra money you pay. Be sure to visit La Chiva aka Blue beach, and Media Luna (both excellent for little ones) and don't miss out on Playa Negra also known as Black Sand beach.
GRACIAS Aurelio - hope to come back some day soon!!

This was our first trip to Vieques, and it was absolutely great! Aurelio met us at the house, got us settled in with some snacks and pina colada fixings. The place is really comfortable and beautiful! Our typical day was making a nice breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen, heading to a beautiful beach, then coming back home for the hottest part of the afternoon. Some of us were sun worshipers and lounged in the pool, some of us were hiding from the sun and lounged in the shade, it was perfect. Lots of nice restaurants to choose from, the Malecon (beach walk) was beautiful, the water is gorgeous, wild horses walking down the streets, gorgeous flowers everywhere. Casa Angie is a real winner, and we hope to be back some day!

My family recently returned from our stay in Vieques, PR and we were very happy with our stay at Casa Angie. The location truly is fantastic. You can walk (quickly!) to Esperanza restaurants and shops, and you're seconds from the beautiful 'boardwalk' overlooking the sea. The house was clean and appointed well for our stay. Our kids appreciated the pool (of course!) and great TV selection for when it was time to wind-down in the evening. The in-room AC units were sufficient to keep the house cool at night, but the master bedroom's AC unit may need a tune-up (the other 2 were ice cold). The kitchen is not stocked with anything and the island does not have great grocery stores, but the restaurants on the Island are excellent. We only used the fridge to keep our leftovers. Breakfast at Bellybuttons was our favorite second to dinner at Sorce at the W!
Definitely rent a car/jeep while on the Island. Maritza's car rental was centrally located and they were very friendly and easy to work with. Thank you, Cheryl & Aurelio for the great hospitality. We look forward to coming back someday!

Ideal location near the Malecon, great house with all the amenities, and very responsive local manager. Only two of us - but this place could very comfortably fit a family of 6. Private patio and pool were amazing.

My group of 5 adults had the pleasure of staying at Casa Angie in October 2016 for five days. This was our first trip to Vieques, and Casa Angie was the perfect home base. The pictures do not do it justice. The pool is lovely with a ledge where you can sit and enjoy the water. However, we could have used a pool skimmer to clean the pool of stray vegetation. There were plenty of towels and beach equipment (coolers, chairs, umbrella) at the ready.
The kitchen had modern appliances and was well stocked with cooking and eating utensils, pots and pans, plates and such. The host even supplied a welcome basket of cookies, microwave popcorn and the ingredients to make pina coladas upon arrival. There's a huge tv in the living room that we made use of because it rained a couple of days. The bathrooms were nice and modern.
We met a lot of wonderful people and the local array of dogs and horses. We nicknamed one dog "The Mayor" because he was the boss of everything there.
While you can get around without renting a car, I recommend that you do. The taxi service is great but somethings you just want to pick up and go and not wait for a car to arrive.

We just returned from a wonderful 2 week vacation at Casa Angie. We have been vacationing in Vieques for the last 8 years. This was the first time we have booked online so we were a little apprehensive. However, we were delighted with the house, the pool, and of course the location. Also, renting the car with the house made that so much easier. Thanks again for allowing us the use of your house. The Taylors

The location was great, the bakery and 2 grocery/beer stores are just two blocks behind the house. Each of the stores had ATM's. The bakery has fresh bread each morning around 8am. The house isn't on the beach, you can see water from the front porch but you can't hear the waves. The house was clean with all the amentities of home. Restaurants are right down the street with prices the same as Chilis or Applebes. Aurelio was easy to contact. He rented us a Durango to use while we were on the island. The pool and outdoor shower were highlights I missed back at home. Groceries cost the same as at home in Texas, I wouldn't pack a bunch of food. Must do: Go on BioBay tour (blackbeards was great), snorkel the pier at Esperanza, drive to the remote beaches, note they have signs warning about unexploded ordinance, but these signs are referring to a couple of small islands in the bays NOT the beaches. Go out at night, it is safe and lots of fun. Go to SunBay beach, after entering follow the road to the left out on the beach, look for no parking signs and turtle nests! The beach is open 24 hrs with security. Drive out on the mosquito pier to the end, it's breathtaking. There are really wild horses everywhere, so slow down and enjoy being on vacation. There are no gas stations in Esperanza, so fill up in Isabel Segunda. Watch for the neighbor across the street to post she has flan for sell, it's the best. We would stay here again!!

Perfect house and LOCATION for our trip to Vieques. Aurelio had everything we could possible want already in the house. He had a friend, Ennie, pick us up at the airport and provided us with the perfect rental car. Cheryl helped us arrange everything on-line and was very accommodating. Aurelio was available in case we needed anything. (We never had a reason to call).
The house location is ideal. You are in walking distance to the restaurants and pier. We felt very safe and enjoyed the neighborhood. We could easily walk to a local bakery or small grocery store from the house.
I have never written a review before but found it very helpful planning this trip, and selecting a house to rent. This house is clean, stocked with everything you will need, the owner is available and the absolute best location on the island.

It was a great vacation rental overall, as expected. Close, convenient to Esperanza. All basic household cleaning products available. There were a few issues with both beach coolers being broken, no children toys for the beach, some of the windows not being able to open or close properly due to the mechanism being broken away from the wall. Also, the stove was not able to generate enough heat cook anything, not quite sure why this is.
These are all very slight things, overall a lovely house. Would return again without the slightest reservation.

We have rented throughout the keys for the past 20 years, this place was amazing!
Amelio's family picked us up at the airport and took us to the car rental, then ,on to the house after a little tour of the island.
The house was great, and the amenities fantastic! I needed a drink and there it was!!
We traveled with another couple and had a great time.
We all could not believe the beaches, no one there! You had the beach to yourself. We explored the island but found the beach right across the street the best.
Sea glass became a passion! We collected so much we had to send it home, absolutely beautiful. Were else could you go, have a drink on the porch and watch the wild horses go down the street!
Cheryl was so helpful with transportation questions and all answers were right on.
This is the place to come to relax and charge those batteries.
Amelio even found fresh fish for us to cook on the Barby.
Amelio, great home, we will see you again my friend

My wife and four kids just came back from our stay at Casa Angie in Vieques. At 20 minutes from arrival at the house, we were having Pina Coladas by the pool while the kids were enjoying the pool to their hearts content. The pool area is beautiful and more spacious than the photos can convey, it is one of the properties highlights. The rental car provided by Aurelio was the perfect means to explore the beaches as well as running the errands required to keep our four kids fed.
There were tons of towels, the kitchen was fully equipped, there were beach chairs, coolers, movies, cable, etc. etc. etc. We had no complaints whatsoever with regards to the house preparations and furnishings. We went to the fishing village, bought fresh spiny lobster and had a great time with the kids cooking them in the backyard barbecue, one night and on the lobster pot the second night.
We felt so comfortable in the house, that we never left the house before 11 in the morning.
Even the location of the house was perfect to enjoy Esperanza and the Malecon's many eateries. We had an spectacular dinner at El Quenepo and the kids loved the Lazy Jacks pizza, both at walking distance from the house. Island Adventures, which is less than a 3 minute drive from the house, provided the bio bay tour by boat, which was our kids favorite activity of the whole trip.
This property is a perfect launching pad to explore Vieques. The only negative from our trip was that we did not have enough time to explore all that Vieques has to offer.

What a great week. I just returned from a week in Vieques with my wife and two children (8 and 10). We had a wonderful time. Casa Angie turned out to be the best location on the island.
The house was beautifully remodeled and maintained. All the things you could ever need were there, including some you probably wouldn't have thought of in advance.
The house is located less than a block from the Malecon, where the best restaurants and gift shops are found. Esperanza is clearly a better tourist location than Isabelle Segunda, everything is within a 5 minute walk.
The owner gave us a nice tour of the island when we first arrived, pay attention, everything he told us turned out to be valuable information. My wife joked she wish she had taken notes. We especially enjoyed the grocery store around the corner so we didnt have to pay bar prices for all our 'beverages' and the bakery/pizzeria next to it. My kids want to go back just for the pizza.

We loved our vacation on Vieques and Casa Angie was the perfect place to stay. Walk to restaurants and shops as well as a beautiful little beach we called Boulder Beach. Aurelio was so helpful picking us up at the airport and welcoming us to Vieques. He even helped us find a car. Casa Angie was so comfortable and homey. We loved the private pool, outdoor shower and patio with gas grill. Gracias Aurelio! We can't wait to come back and stay at Casa Angie again.

I came here with my boyfriend and another couple for three nights in January. From the moment we arrived on Vieques, Casa Angie (and Aurelio) made our stay better than expected. Aurelio met us at the airport, brought us to the car rental agency, and gave us a very informative tour of the island before showing us Casa Angie. The villa was beautiful! It looks exactly as shown in the photos and has such a warm and inviting feeling throughout. There were many thoughtful touches throughout the villa - such as TONS of towels, makings for pina coladas, mini fridge near the pool, coffee, sunscreen, aloe (VERY useful for me!), natural insect repellent (recommended for the biobay), and movies. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the basics that you'd expect, including coffee pot, blender, and toaster. The individual AC units in the bedrooms worked really, really well. The rooms also had ceiling fans, so there was no problem with keeping cool.
After our days exploring the island, we looked forward to relaxing at the villa, spending most of our time outside near the pool. The pool and outside area were beautiful. We enjoyed eating at the outside table, which was kept shady by a sail, making it a lovely retreat from the sun. Also, it was convenient being able to do some laundry before returning home. The villa truly is a short three minute walk to downtown Esperanza, which has bars and yummy food. Only two drawbacks: 1) the liquid soap dispensers were out of soap (but there was plenty of bar soap in the house), and 2) the sheets could use a little fabric softener.
All in all, I would highly recommend this villa for anyone and everyone staying on Vieques. Aurelio was responsive to all of my questions and concerns. Also, since he grew up on the island, he was very informative about the island and things to do and see. Upon my return home he promptly returned my security deposit. It was clear that he truly cares about this villa and wants everyone who comes to fully enjoy it and have a wonderful time. I was as impressed with him as I was with the villa. I cannot wait to come back to Casa Angie!

Our vacation in Vieques was one of the best that we have ever experienced. The island offers amazing beaches, a great tempo, and excellent food. Casa Angie is close Esperanza, just a short walking distance from the bars and restaurants of the Malecon. It is spacious, the back patio and pool are a great place to relax, and it is fully stocked with everything you need- all cooking needs, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, beach gear, a/c, etc. We were very happy with our accommodations. We highly recommend Casa Angie!

We just finished three wonderful nights at the house relaxing by the pool and enjoying strolls down to the restaurants just around the corner from the house. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for an area close to Esperenza where you don't want to rent a car. The property is in great condition and comes with everything you will need to relax and enjoy your time. We travelled as a group of four (two couples) and the house was perfect for our group. The owner was great with suggestions on activities in the area. We could not have asked for a better place to relax, sightsee, and soak up the sun during our time in Vieques.
