there wasn't much to like

everything no tv no wifi shared bathroom over priced. no staff

the view outside the place was nice

-did not see the owners once -did not see anyone else staying there, felt like it was abandoned. -the room was falling apart: ceiling was peeling, holes in the walls and ceiling, nets were ripped, curtains mismatched, stains on the mattress. -people had left things behind from previous stays -the bed was super uncomfortable, could feel all the springs and the headboard was broken. -there was no smoke alarms. -the bar downstairs stayed closed the whole time we were there and could not get a drink or food without heading into the city. -upon arrival the place looked like it had been shut down.

shower was great.

room was road side. very noisy throughout the night. bed was uncomfortable. Lack of signs in kitchen area to show what could be used, no instructions or labels for the usage of appliances or where everything is kept.

Old ..different to pictures...our room had no view..yet we paid for a view..no TV in room...had pictures of a bar underneath the building that had been closed t or ages...false advertising

Bed was uncomfortable. it was noisy as beside road.

It was a last minute decision to stay in Dunedin after the rugby so I had to take the last room in town .

I can't really complain about the conditions as it's a very old hotel.

booked three rooms, all dusty and musty. paid for tonight’s checked out at 9am after the first night. lost a whole nights cost. messaged the owner and didn’t get a reply

this hotel was empty, closed, someone came to let us in. off road parking. hotel had an area for making a cuppa or heating a meal,

very basic, the first room had no wifi, sky, netflix or tv, swapped to another room which had a tv added from another room. Thank-you. no outside area suitable for children to play or sit. needs some serious improvements, updating and repairs, even focusing on 1 room at a time and renting it out while working on the next, add good art from local artists - even from op shops, just not kmart etc.

Location is winner if you're in Dunedin for Uni or Polytechnic as only just a few mins drive around the corner, away from the all of the main traffic and main road.

Need to bring your own food or go out and eat out - there is no restaurant or cafe but do have a very basic kitchen upstairs for guests to use. Need bring everything up to the reasonable good standard and updated.

1. The fact in left at 7am and didn't Sleep the whole night. False advertising by booking.com

1. Booked for 4 only to sleep on the floor, 2. Lied to as before booking we confirmed whether the room has its own toilet/bathroom and kitchen hence the reason we choose this, but it was a shared facilities 3. The room was very dusty 4. The room was very damp and had very strong stench 5. The shower leaked so the floors were wet 6. Window was smash in one corner so strong cold drafts made the entire hallway cold 5. Notified booking.com and the manager Dr Hu of the issues 2hours of us entering the room. We informed them of the situation and also notified that the facility was not up to standard. 6. Have messaged on this platform multiple times and have only been ignored. Check the messages area for reference. We packed 4hrs after ready to leave 7. My son coughed his lungs out and cried must of the night saying when he breathes the air is cutting his nasal passage. 8. No wifi 9. Paints are coming of the ceiling

Service was good. It was okay for what we needed. But for the price we paid we haven stayed in better on our travels.

The mattress - could feel the springs and coils even from putting your hand on the mattress. Place smelt very damp and musty Parking was a little unknown
