We came to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and it was really pleasure to stay at this resort. We loved the environment of the resort, the rooms are beautiful, clean, comfortable and feel homey. The stuff was just amazing! They were so nice and kind, always with a smile on their face and helped us with everything :) even put flowers and beautiful handmade birthday card and a gift from them! And the breakfast was also very good of course, as we saw before at others reviews:)

This is my third time there and I would choose it again. The place is as described, in a secluded area which means it is very quiet. The personelle is kind and attentive and some of them have been there for years, which to me is a positive thing. Katie has been very responsive and has helped me book tickets for my movements. I would choose it again!

Phayamas is one of the most exceptional places I've stayed. It's incredible value for money; the staff are warm, friendly and helpful; the setting is unbelievable with private beach and gorgeous grounds. The cabins are beautiful and private. The food and drinks (especially their own craft beer) were delicious. Katie (the owner) is so kind and helpful; she took such great care of us. This place is a dream.

In our opinion, the best place to stay on Koh Phayam. It’s a lovely small resort situated on a small hill, descending to a private beach and to the swimming pool. The owner and her staff are amazing. Regarding the kitchen; normally I don’t expect much from a kitchen that serves both local food, pizza and burgers but their cook really masters everything he makes. We recommend staying and eating here!

Such an amazing hotel! One of the best places we've ever stayed. Beautiful bungalows with nice furniture and modern bathroom. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast with vegan options. Lovely beach and swimming pool. This hotel also has a really strong brand identity - quite unique for Thailand!

Exceptionally breakfast. All the Hornbill Birds. Good food in the Restaurant. Even the Island was hit also very badly with the Corona Situation, it's a little Paradis. it's worth to visit Koh Phayam.

The Beach has some Rocks. Quiet flat beaches. Some ways are in a very bad conditions, specially after Rain.

The views were great, the location is amazing and the food at the cafe tasted great and freshly cooked

The price for AC (800 baht) was a bit high but understandable as electricity may be scarce on island

The staff were lovely and accommodating. The breakfast on the first morning was lovely but on the second morning, due to the full occupancy, breakfast was a little chaotic. The food was exceptional, we ate there both nights and everything was outstanding, I highly recommend the eggplant chips and Burmese tea leaf salad. Lovely views from the resort. They also organised external trips for us.

The room would work better for those with older children as access to the second room is via an external staircase therefore we had to split ourselves to share the rooms with our children.

The room was very sparse with a chair which looked like a commode, a shabby hanging rail (no wardrobe) blood stained sheets and filthy under the beds. The food was inedible - the spiciest yellow Thai curry I’ve ever tasted and a strange gritty texture. the tofu stir fry looked like it had been chewed and left for a year - also tasteless!! breakfast was a few slices of fruit (flies all over it) and some dried up scrambled egg. the pool was so full of chlorine it made my eyes stream and the beach was filthy - full of plastic and debris!! Oh and let’s not forget the ONE rickety old sun bed. Then there’s the staff - hardly speak any English so hard to communicate but the owner is incredibly rude!! I told her my concerns and all she was interested in was telling me her father has a Thai restaurant in The States so her food is good (trust me it’s definitely not) that I should have gone looking for her at 11pm in the dark to tell her that we had to turn off the air con as it was so noisy we couldn’t sleep. not interested in the state of the room. absolute rip off - anyone giving this place more than one star has clearly never stayed in a decent hotel. don’t get me wrong - we were not expecting luxury - we found a fab hotel on the other side of the island for a third of the price and the room was beautiful and clean. The beach isn’t great and you can’t swim in the sea.

Near beach is good only on morning, Hotel look like hotel because on Koh Phayam very little resort or bungalow service like hotel, Staff helpful when you asking,fine and peaceful places,restaurant menu lot of kind.

Beach small size on noon can’t to use it because water fully on beach can’t walk on beach , Unusual waiting times for a small number of guests in the evening.

poor internet signal, sand beach but with more rocks. In the booking said bungalow with "sea view". In reality , non of the room is sea view.

insects in room although I made sure not to open the doors. no WiFi, it seems only 1 room (17) got it, I asked to move in that available room, but staff just ignored my request.. swimming pool was not very clean when I went there. private beach not very nice and rocky, not good to swim. i rented a bicycle but it was bit broken. overall too expensive to have all these issues.

Beach is not great for swimming, but easy to get to amazing beaches.

Very special place in the middle of nature and with great ocean views from the restaurant. Food was lovingly prepared with attention and special touches. Owner/managers very attentive and helpful to arrange transport, sightseeing, etc.

The beachfront for the hotel is not as nice as other sandy beaches on the island. But they are only a short transport away.

Katie and her staff work very hard to make their guest feel comfortable. From the arrival drink, to the well cooked meals, the buffet breakfast and the pleasant staff, and don't forget the home craft beer that her boyfriend makes. Their special attention to the environment is well noted too, from reusable bamboo straws, the beach clean up and their preparation of food with less oils. They even pick you up from the pier if you notify them.

Electricity is an issue on the island, so it's not possible to have a refrigerator or hot water jug in the room, at least my room did not have, maybe in the future this might be a consideration, but the staff made up for it by having hot water ready every morning by 7:30am. I don't usually give out 10's, but a 9.5 is well deserved.

Staff were very friendly, polite and spoke good English, overall the Staff were fantastic. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, the shower and bathrooms were modern and require special mention. The breakfast was very good with a nice rotation of Thai and Foreign dishes each morning with fresh fruit, delicious! The lunch and dinner menu offered plenty of choices with all meals very enjoyable. The home brewery is highly recommended. The location was blessed with a constant sea breeze that just topped things off nicely.
