Very spacious room
Very run down. Bathroom old and smelt of drainage. Poor breakfast cold and not good quality ingredients
3.3
Excellent location.

The photos are very deceiving. The hotel was very shabby carpet's torn wallpaper coming off wall.Light on ceiling had halogen bulbs, so light was always on. Pillows stained very outdated . Breakfast was very limited, and everything was deep-fried
3.3
Petit dej moyen.

Unfortunately the pictures online are not a true representation of the actual hotel.
The first thing you see is a smashed window, the decor is something you cannot describe. You have to see it to believe it. The Rooms were dated window wouldn’t shut had to call maintenance, no locks working on the doors, radiator hanging off the wall, extractor fan all night making a horrendous noise. The bar area was in darkness, the food I would stay well away from! I don’t know how you mess a pizza up so bad. All toppings raw underneath the cheese. They normally go on top so they are cooked. We asked for chips and extras drinks that were not put through so these did not arrive. The other thing that I didn’t like was you had air tags attached to you room key in case you lost it, but on the other hand the hotel staff could see if you were away from your room and could easily gain access if you were out or they could even see your location, which I feel in my opinion is an invasion of privacy.

Staff were great, wonderfully friendly. Room was warm and clean.
Hotel needs a bit of a spruce up in general areas - a lick of paint and cleaning of woodwork would help. In bedroom, bedstead not fixed to wall and mattress smaller than divan which was on castors and moved around. Breakfast was buffet style basic but well cooked. Stayed in other hotels/B&B for similar money and had better breakfast - could offer more choice of cereal, some yoghurts and fruit, etc.
3.3
It was cheap and in a good location
We paid for a double bed however, it was infact a queen size mattress on a double base. There wasn’t a window it was a sky light and there wasn’t any type of ventilation

We liked the helpfulness and friendliness of the morning male receptionist.
The rudeness and argumentative attitude of the female receptionist who made a mistake with our room number We walked back and forth and had to ask her 3 times about the room when it finally transpired that she gave us the wrong room number. She never apologised despite the evident wrong number she wrote on the envelope.which would have diffused a heated discussion.

Was a bit apprehensive reading some.of the previous reviews when we booked The Lovat but actually couldn't' fault anything with the hotel, we had such a lovely stay over the two days, view from our room was beautiful and although some bits of the hotel/room are slightly dated (not all) it was clean and tidy and looks to be in the process od being done up. Never stayed in a hotel with such attentive staff with nothing being too much trouble. Staff really make the hotel, so well done! Wouldn't hesitate to rebook.
Not a dislike but a personal preference as someone who doesn't much like a cooked breakfast is maybe a choice of continental breakfast too, hubby loved his cooked breakfast though.
3.3
Good location for bus into city trip
Needs updating as heating was not working but electric heaters were provided.
3.3
Location good, room was clean, the food we ate was nice
For price, good value.
Our room was freezing. Hubby did say to staff and was told our side of hostel was not connected to heating system. There were 2 electric heaters but they took the basic chill off and nothing more.
3.3
Staff were polite, friendly and helpful-the girl at check in helped me take my suitcase upstairs as there is no lift. That's where the positive aspects of my stay ended.
The hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. The main issue was cleanliness-the shower head was black with dirt and so bad that I wasn't prepared to use it. The throw on the bed was stained, as was the mattress protector and cushion covers. The socket next to the kettle didn't work so I had to use another socket which meant placing the kettle on the floor. The bedside light switch is situated about 4 foot above the bed so is not reachable from the bed.
The breakfast was very basic, evening meal options were very limited i.e burgers or chicken tenders with chips. The dining room was not particularly clean.

Breakfast was ok
Room was very poor, did not resemble the pictures shown online.
In fact, the hotel in general is extremely tired looking, it’s obvious it is not being maintained to any decent standard
3.3
Gentilezza dello staff, pulizia delle camere d silenziosità del posto
Distanza dal centro storico di 20 minuti a piedi

not a lot
breakfast tlmes 7 till 9 a bit early finish at 10 would have been better no draught beer , evening meal menu not very good.
3.3
Nothing
Decoration needed attention. Furniture old scratched chipped Brocken
3.3
The location is good, the staff are friendly and the bathroom clean.
This hotel really needs refurbished- the rooms are tired- the bed sagged, walls scuffed, paintwork shabby, outside windows dirty etc… no pride in the overall appearance.
3.3
We enjoyed our stay , friendly helpful staff, good breakfast
We would have liked to be nearer the town centre for the bus , as we were there for Rewind festival
3.3
nothing
poor rooms, poor staff, breakfast an around joke, hugely expensive, to far away from the centre to walk.
no good news at all.
it was the only room available in Perth I can now see why.
3.3
The staff were quirky, friendly and professional.
The location and bar.
3.3
That the reviews on Trip advisor were incorrect. I was very sceptical before we arrived based on the reviews we read.
Our room was lovely, very large and the breakfast was good.
The interior decor of the hotel could do with a freshen up, but our room was spot on.
3.3
The facilities and staff.
I don’t have any complaints.
3.3
cheap bar and the cow paintings on the wall
advertised 24/7 room service and this was not the case
3.3
fantastic value for money
front of house lady excellent
bed was a bit lumpy
3.3
friendly staff and good location. There is a pizza restaurant on site which served decent food.
Dated hotel needs some TLC. Breakfast was poor, no fruit and for me undrinkable coffee. The only option was fry up or 2 cereal options. I’m not sure what the eggs were but I didn’t eat! breakfast staff member was friendly.
3.3
Really lovely room, very comfortable bed, very clean bathroom, quiet room with lots of tea/coffee/biscuits. Free bottled water which was a nice touch. Very good breakfast eat as much as you want, buffet style, lovely staff very helpful, will stay again, convenient location, good car park close to the reception, overall very good value
nothing

The receptionist/barmaid /waitress needs to find another job!! Not cut out for it all!!
When we arrived
3.3
All good
Not a lot to dislike
3.3
Check in took ages as the computer wasn't working. The first key card I was given didn't work.
My room was windowless and had an absurd desert island mural.
The restaurant only sold fast food.
I was shocked to be asked to pay for my meal before I got it.
At breakfast the coffee machine didn't work.

Staff went above and beyond

Sara and the staff are so welcoming and can't do enough for you Very friendly people. Sara dressed up as a bunny for Easter Sunday and made amazing stories for everyone.
Room was basic and clean. Buffet breakfast which included 2 types cereal, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, potato scones, hashbrowns, beans and scrambled eggs. Tea coffee apple/orange juice and toast.
Bathroom door didn't close properly or lock but was informed it was to be fixed.
3.3
This hotel is basic but you get what you pay for, but the staff are just amazing can,t do enough for you the room was clean comfy bed, don,t read bad reviews about the staff as Sara, Jimmy and Chris make you very wecome. I will be going back only 10min walk into the town plenty pubs ect.
Nothing bad to say i enjoyed my stay not everyone,s cup of tea but it was fine.
3.3
Staff was very helpful and friendly
Couldn't fault a thing
3.3
Staff lovely good location cheap taxi fare in to center or 10 mins walk
The floor boards are really noisy so ground floor anyone staying above you just walking around sounds like the ceiling is about to cave in. Room is spacious and clean tho.
3.3
Perfect stay from start to finish,we were greeted by Sarah the general manager who was so welcoming and friendly which continued throughout our stay, our room was exceptionally clean and had all the ammenities we needed. The bed was super comfy and we had the best nights sleep. The cooked breakfast which was included in the price of our stay was lovely.Hotel has a great bar area were you can relax and again the staff were warm and welcoming,we would love to stay again if visiting the area.

Staff are extra friendly and room was clean
we had trouble getting into the hotel at nighttime as no one answered the phone or door for quite sometime. Apparently the phone doesn’t ring in the laundry room
