A propos de ce cottagerental
Cottage with parking; sleeps 4; within walking distance of beach; dogs welcome.

Lovely cottage. Had everything we needed. Good location near shops, pubs, cafes, beaches and coastal path. Walkable to model village and Kents Cavern. Easy bus to Torquay and Paignton. Off road parking space is a godsend. Our third time here and plan to return.

This is a wonderful property with everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. Our whole family had a lovely stay and Tessa is a fantastic, thoughtful and helpful host. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and perfectly positioned just off the downs and close to all amenities of Babbacombe and St Marychurch. We have stayed before and we will definitely stay again!

Such a lovely property, the pictures on here don't do it justice, the living room is large with more seating than shown in the photos which was great. The property also has a utility area and downstairs toilet. It might be helpful to have some better photos of these areas on the listing. We found all that we needed and more for our stay, Tessa has thought of everything and contact with her before and during our stay was easy and useful. The location was perfect with lots to do on the doorstep or just a short drive or bus ride away. Would happily stay here again.

This was the perfect home-from-home for our family holiday.
We wanted more space than we would get in a hotel, which this cottage provided and the hosts really thought of everything to make the stay easy and comfortable.
I would absolutely recommend this property!

A home from home
Our second time in this lovely cottage. Tessa supplies so much more than you would normally find in a rental, it's like living in a family home. A lovely quiet location, in walking distance of the Downs, restaurants, shops and bus stops.

A home away from home
This is a glorious property with everything you could wish for in a really homely environment.
Tessa is a fantastic host who has thought of everything, even down to leaving a bubble wand for our three year old daughter. We loved our holiday so much we booked for next year before we left!

Excellent property.
We were very happy with the property, which ideally suited our accommodation requirements. Local amenities were very good, the only disadvantage was no readily accessible beach for us to walk to.

What a fantastic retreat away from the hustle of city life. Perfectly located within 200 metres of one of the best seascapes I have ever seen. Local shops, pubs and eateries all within a 5 minute walk, especially handy if the weather is bad.
The cottage is brilliantly set up, with everything you could ever want, and a few others too!
I can’t give the property anything other than 10 out of 10
Thank you

Wow!
We felt at home as soon as we unpacked. A brilliantly situtated, spotless, spacious and perfectly equipped cottage. Off road parking space was a godsend.
The cottage contains just about everything you might need: for entertainment - Wi-fi, books, Freeview TV, DVDs, radio; a vast range of cleaning products (including washing up stuff and rubber gloves), washing machine, drier, dishwasher, hoover; in the kitchen - microwave, kettle, toaster, nespresso machine, plenty of crockery, cutlery, gadgets. We weren't planning to do any cooking, but had we wanted to I think we'd have found anything we needed.
Everything was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and well maintained.
Within easy walking distance are restaurants, bars, pubs, shops and takeaways. Regular bus service to Torquay and Paignton is just around the corner.
Also within walking distance to the property are Babbacombe Downs, some small beaches, an excellent model village and Kents Cavern. A bit further afield, we visited Paignton zoo and enjoyed watching penguins and otters at Living Coast in Torquay.
In spite of some pretty lousy weather we really enjoyed our time at Babbacombe, and would definitely return to the area and this cottage in the future.

Lovely, cosy cottage with everything you could need, in a fantastic location.
The cottage was even lovelier than the photographs show. Clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. The en-suite bathrooms worked very well for our family. Lovely, thoughtful touches, such as beach towels and a bucket and spade, in case you forget your own. Even milk in the fridge on arrival. Great location, just around the corner from beautiful Babbacombe Downs and the cafes and restaurants. A short walk to either Babbacombe or St Marychurch shops, and five minutes drive into Torquay. Parking space and garden (with table and chairs) a bonus. The owner, Tessa was very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time here and would highly recommend it - we hope to return!

Family Summer Holiday
We stayed at St George’s Cottage for two weeks with our two children aged 8 & 13. The cottage is perfectly situated just a short stroll from the seafront which has bars, cafes and restaurants. There was great communication from the owner during the booking process and with the check in, including directions to the cottage avoiding busy route. We were delighted with the standard of the accommodation. We were welcomed by fresh flowers, bubbles for the kids and milk in the fridge! There was also a supply of staple foods in the kitchen cupboard for us to use as needed. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with all you need and more to make a fantastic stay. It was tastefully decorated (I wish I had your artistic flare Tessa!), and furnished, and very comfortable. All bedding (very good quality) and towels were supplied even down to beach towels if needed. Plenty of hot water, two bathrooms and three toilets for those busy times were very welcome! The cottage is a great base for exploring south Devon and the parking space is a bonus. Tessa is very friendly and happy to give advice on places to visit or answer any questions we had. We can honestly say that St George’s is the best accommodation we have stayed in and we hope to visit again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Fantastic property so close to the sea
What a find, a lovely roomy but cosy property, a stones throw from the sea, one of the best we have stayed at, Tessa, the owner has been great. The cottage is so nice we didn't want to leave.
The stair lift was invaluable for our mother who has limited mobility, and she loved the time spent holidaying here.
We felt really looked after.
Thank you so much. we will be back and will be recommending to friends and family.

Charming cottage in the heart of Babbacombe
I decided to book this cottage as it was close by to everything needed for a trip away. It was a treat to the parents so I wanted to ensure everything was perfect. I could not have asked for more with this cottage. The kitchen had everything you needed (including items you didn't think you needed) and the living room was huge and great for evening sittings of cards. The little sitting area out the front was great for having breakfast in the morning and a drink before dinner in the evening. The beds were comfy and the water always hot. The cottage was also very warm which is just how we like it! We appreciated the milk, tea and sugar being available on arrival so we could have a cup of tea after the long journey down. The owner of the cottage is lovely and provides a lot of useful information. She goes that extra mile to make sure you feel like you're staying in a home away from home. The area is also very dog friendly which is perfect if you're planning a week away with your beloved dog.
There is a pub in staggering distance which is always a plus. Their karaoke on a Friday night is definitely something to go to. In terms of food, definitely try the fish and chips from The Usual Plaice and Chinese from the buffet, Oriental touch. If you want basics I'd recommend driving to the Waitrose as they have more to offer. Overall I definitely recommend this cottage for an amazing stay.

St Georges is a lovely cottage ideal for family or couples, situated on the beautiful downs.
The property was in a perfect location and just a short walk onto the beautiful Downs with it's selection of cafe's and bars, not to mention the breath taking views, which we enjoyed throughout the week. The property also had the added advantage of it's own parking space whilst it's other amenities - dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and even a stair lift if needed - were all you could want from a holiday cottage. The fresh flowers were a nice touch and the fresh milk was very welcome.
Although there was plenty to occupy us in the immediate location, the model village, small theatre and the shops in St.Marychurch, Torquay, Paignton and Cockington village were just a short drive away.
We would definitely come again and thoroughly recommend it to others.

Spacious, tastefully decorated cottage in handy location
Stayed in this tastefully furnished well-appointed cottage with my husband, teenage daughter and our dog. It is surprisingly spacious inside and I do not think the photos in the listing do it justice. It was great to have two en-suite bathrooms. The cottage has everything you need for a week's self-catering stay. Although I did cook some nights, there are plenty of dog-friendly pubs within easy walking distance as well as take-aways. We even had a take-away delivered! There is a varied library of DVDs to watch and we enjoyed several of these in the evenings. The off-road parking is a bonus in this area. We had good enough weather to sit out to have breakfast in the pretty garden on several occasions. Loved the bunting in the garden and fairy lights in the tree. Also loved watching the flocks of sparrows in the hedge right outside the bedroom! Can recommend the short walk across Walls Hill to look down onto Anstey's Cove and two visits to the Model Village (you get to go back for free to see it lit up at night)
Cottage would suit those with more limited mobility as there is a stair lift, parking right outside and level walks to local pubs and restaurants and shops. There are bus stops close by for those that wish to travel by public transport.
The owner Tessa was very helpful with all the arrangements beforehand. Many thanks.

The loveliest home from home ...
Our second year here and we'll be back! The house lacks for nothing, everything of the best quality, lots of room and - all so tasteful and pretty! It's a pleasure to just be in - and only a couple of minutes walk from gorgeous Babbacombe Downs. What more could one want.

Fabulous home & great location
St George’s Cottage is immaculate, well equipped, nicely decorated and in a great location! Parking is a real plus too! Tessa was delightful and anticipated every need. The 2 1/2 baths made each bedroom upstairs have their own bath with the 1/2 bath downstairs very convenient! Washer and dryer were great to have . It is very quiet and the sea breezes at night were marvelous! Pub is one-minute walk where we watched England win the semi-final with cheering locals. The neighbor was delightful too. We toured Greenway, took the Round Robin, dined at the Grand Hotel and Imperial Hotel, Agatha Christie sites, and Cary Arms—all superb! Colton Fishacre is a 1920s example of Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco and recommended. Angel’s tea house is a must—short walk! We will definitely return to this cottage!! We bought 4 Hercule Poirot DVDs from the Torquay Museum to enjoy too! We fell in love with the English Riviera at St George’s Cottage!
