It was good

This is the second time my family has stayed here. This time it was 6 of us, last time it was 8. Once again we had a wonderful stay. The Villa is as described and the amenities are great. We enjoyed the pool, and we were able to cook food as needed. You had everything we needed for the beach. I would recommend this Villa to anyone. If I get the chance to come back to Antigua I'll be looking for Milk & Honey first. Thanks for everything.

We stayed for 8 days and were very pleased with our stay. Locally the property owner had contacts to help with any issues we had, and the property was as described. It had plenty of comforts of home, nice beach chairs, shovel for the beach etc. we loved our stay!

Excellent property with everything you need. Market is near by, you can stock up your groceries. The pool was really nice when coming back after a beach day 100% I recommend staying at Milk and Honey

We stayed at Milk and Honey Villa for 28 days. We soaked up sunshine on the huge deck, which gave all of us pur own private area if we so desired. The house was large and very liveable. Bring bug spray!!! The bugs loved our sweet blood! The AC and the screens on the windows were a huge help with these little creatures. Interestingly it rained every day except for 2 that we were on the Island. People of Antigua are so friendly and helpful.

Our family with grown children loved our stay. Easy walk to eat, buy groceries or go to the beach. Very private location. Rooms well appointed. You need to buy essentials like TP or Kleenex etc. but other than that everything you need is provided. Tons of room!

This was our first visit to Antigua and we had a wonderful time. We try to book properties that the owner says they regularly visit because we find them better kitted out, and this was certainly the case at Milk and Honey: the villa was very well equipped. It has to be said we didn’t do much cooking because of the great selection of local bars and restaurants in and around Jolly Harbour, ie walking distance, to try. As we saw other parts of the island, we realised how lucky we were to be only a 5 min walk away – even less in the golf buggy we hired - from a huge supermarket with ATMs. Beaches, including the local one at Jolly Harbour, were all pristine – just as in the postcards. Although we did enjoy sea-swimming and snorkelling, it was great to get home from the beach and cool off with a swim in the villa’s pool too. Would definitely recommend this property.

This was a perfect place for me and my 3 girlfriends! The villa was clean, spacious (we could each have our own room) and well-equipped, and we loved the pool - big enough to do a few lengths ( to work off the cocktails!) with comfy loungers to relax on. There's a selection of bars and eateries at one end of the road, and it's an easy stroll to the other end, for the supermarket, a further selection of lovely restaurants and the gorgeous Jolly Beach. What more could we have wanted?! Definitely recommend!

Overall we were very happy with the property, it is large, well equipped and very clean, however, the location was not good if you have medical issues such as knee issues since the journey up and down to visit the grocery store or beach on the gravel road did not help with the pain. The hire of golf cart would not have have been very easy to maneuver. The pool was not swimmable since it was very shallow but good for cooling down and floating on . The outside of the house is lovely and well maintained. We had an issue with no hot water one day due to a fuse going off but since we were attending a wedding event the first person who came was unable to resolve it and unfortunately it was not repaired in a timely manner but was resolved by end of the day.

The Villa is in a great location - close to lots of beautiful beaches and restaurants. The place itself is spacious, clean and well equipped! Thanks for having us Phil

Beautiful villa with plenty of room for two families and it's well equipped for those wanting to self cater.. Ideally located near the most incredible beaches, our favourite being FFryes beach (2 minutes drive). and very close to all the facilities and amenities that Jolly Harbour offer.

Lovely villa, large rooms with good facilities and a beautiful veranda to sit and relax.

We were a group of 6 gents using the villa as a base while watching the cricket. After a long journey the arranged transfer with Glen took us to the villa and helped us gain access, useful on a dark evening. The 2 King bedrooms were particularly spacious and the twins adequate for our purposes. It was nice to have some drinks in the fridge and provisions on the table. We made good use of the terrace on our days off and the wi fi worked well. The pool was fine for a dip but not really conducive to lengths swimming. Having a couple of bars and restaurants on the doorstep was good as the rough track to the harbour was quite treacherous after rain and in the dark. The return pick up for the airport with Glen also went well at an inconvenient time of day. In summary, we were very happy with the villa which met our needs well.

We booked this villa over 2 years ago, and then COVID struck, I cannot overstate how helpfull Philip was in allowing us to cancel and rebook 2 years later at no extra cost, the villa was just as described, after a couple of problems with the alarm system and air conditioning which were sorted in the first 2 days no other serious problems. 2 other issues, we have a 2 year old who needs a cot and a high chair when we asked if there was one on site we were told that we would have to hire on from management . When I spoke to management they said we could hire them for an extra 100 usd each for the 2 weeks, which I think is extortion, especially as the cot turned out to be a cheap travel cot. One other issue that was outside owner or management control was music from one of the bar’s some 60 yds along the road, from 7 until midnight we were subject to karaoke/ and deep base boom boom music that went from at best irritating to absolutely annoying from not being able to sleep, which really took the shine off what was otherwise a great holiday.

Our family of four arrived Christmas Day to Milk & Honey. Our arrival was smooth with the prearranged Transportation provided by Villa Management. Glen, a local taxi driver was the perfect 1st person to meet on Antigua. Management greeted us at the Villa upon arrival and answered all of our questions. Although it was a quiet week with many local closures for the Public Holidays, any of our requests including renting a car were eventually taken care of by Villa Management. Milk & Honey is spotless, comfortable and the neighborhood was safe. The Wi-Fi was perfect for two teens remaining relevant on Social Media! As stated in many prior reviews, the Villa is convenient to restaurants and all necessities. We would recommend renting a car to explore the island, Sunny Car rentals delivered a car right to the Villa. Even though it was my 1st time driving outside of the U.S., no issues at all. Drivers are patient and courteous. We had a great time on the Creole Snorkel & Lobster Lunch Cruise that left out of Jolly Harbour. Also we took a short drive to the Antigua Rain Forest Canopy Tour that all of us really enjoyed. The people of Antigua were incredibly welcoming and engaging all over the island and especially spots just a few steps down the street from the Villa. Big Head Lobster Restaurant and T. N. A Sports Bar & Restaurant to name a few. @ Jolly Harbour beach, we enjoyed meeting Sherwin the Manager who’s mom owns Sandra’s Beach Shop Bar and Grill. He provided us with chairs, umbrellas and great food at the restaurant during the week. We have traveled around the world and have to say this was one of the best overall experiences we have had as a family. Thanks so much to Phil for a beautiful holiday week, keep the Carib cold, we will be back soon!

Milk and Honey is the perfect place to stay! Jolly Beach, Church Beach, Darkwood Beach all within minutes! Groceries a short walk and the pool and amenities at the house are everything you need for a Caribbean get away. We could have stayed a month!

Phil was extremely accommodating and considerate to the uncertainty in timing of our booking due to Covid changes and the boats arrival time to Antigua. We spent the vast majority of our time eating at the Villa, playing in the pool and generally lounging around as a lot of the local restaurants and attractions were shut and the Villa was great for that. The Villa is also a short walk from the local supermarket and which is super convenient! Thanks a lot Phil. We hope to be back as soon as we can!

We had an amazing time at Milk and Honey. Location was great. 5 minute walk to groceries and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Villa was well stocked and spacious. Having the private pool was amazing. Management was very attentive as well as the owner. Any issues we had (and they were minor) were addressed quickly. We did have to cut our stay short due the corona virus but will definitely go back. Amazing island and people.

Large , spacious house. Comfortable beds, adequate kitchen. A refreshing, clean pool which was just right to cool off from the hot sun and a large deck to relax after a cool dip. The barbecue grill was a plus. The house is located near the beach, restaurants and a supermarket. If you are not driving, transportation is nearby. Would go back to Milk and Honey again.

Our 11 days' stay in this lovely villa was one of our family's (4 plus 2 friends) most relaxing and enjoyable holidays. The booking and final arrangements were so straightforward, and the owner and management team were helpful and attentive, anything that wasn't right was quickly sorted (like the water pressure to the villa). The rooms were spacious and the villa well-appointed and immaculately prepared for our arrival. The view over the pool to the lake each morning showed lots of birdlife, little egrets, pelicans, frigates etc. The bustling Jolly Harbour, bars, beaches, shop, are all just a few minutes walk or buggy ride. Even the more distant beaches and restaurants down the same coast are just a short hop by taxi. We couldn't miss the Shirley Heights experience on Sunday night, and Nelson's Dockyard is an essential, even if you've been here before.

It was just great. Close to good beaches and walking distance (10mins) to jolly harbour We hope to go back!

We can't thank Phil enough for sharing his villa with us. We stayed the entire month of February and loved each day. We really like having 2 master bedrooms so other couples could stay with us and have their own private space. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. This villa has a clothesline out back which really came in handy. You really need to rent a golf cart or vehicle to be able to get your groceries and make it easier to get to the beach. We rented both and explored several beaches on the island. We were also able to see more of the island and eat out at several different restaurants. We would rent this villa again with no hesitation.

Milk and honey was a perfect 4 bedroom Villa with its own swimming pool brilliantly equipped kitchen, barbecue and many comfortable sitting and lounging areas. A car is a must here and ours gave us access to many of the 365 beaches. The Villa is brilliantly maintained by Villa Management and the pool is kept clean and we had two service calls during our visit. We would happily return.

Milk & Honey is a spacious villa fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The pick up from the airport was hassle free and, as it was our first trip to Antigua, Glen the driver gave us tips on things to do and see. Everybody was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and although the water pressure is variable, the bathrooms were clean and perfectly adequate. If you want to see more of the island, you have to hire a car but be warned, driving in Antigua is an 'interesting' experience :-) Overall, Milk & Honey is a perfect base, highly recommended and we will definitely be returning in the future.

We spent 12 nights at Milk and Honey the week before Easter. We found the agents really helpful. Pascale arranged for us to arrive in 2 groups which enabled me to stock the fridge before the rest of the family arrived from the airport and she arranged an additional fold down bed that was already made up when we got there. Bancroft was very helpful in topping up the pool for us, showing us how the showers in the ensuites worked.... and changing a couple of light bulbs. The cleaners came twice and did a really thorough job. The villa was great for the 3 grandchildren as they could keep cool inside in the real heat of the day and the pool was just the right depth for the nearly 4 year old to play in safely. We used the barbecue and sat out on the patio most evenings using citronella candles and mosquito coils and had very little trouble with bites. We found we did need a car to go to the beach with the small children as the walk there and back was a bit much for them in the heat. There were loads of towels and the washing machine was really easy to use for the beach towels. We made a lot of use of the washing lines on the patio and things dried really quickly. The wifi was great and enabled us to keep in touch with Pascale via email. She always answered very quickly. The only things we couldn't find anywhere were an oven glove and any tea towels......! and other villas we have rented have provided a local mobile phone for making and receiving calls from the agents and booking taxis and restaurants etc. With the wifi we managed OK. Overall a really good experience and would recommend.

Spent 10 days in Milk and Honey, it is a fantastic property with a lovely view and easy access to local amenities. There is a supermarket and plenty of restaurants/bars as well as a golf course and the harbour with access to fishing boats and pleasure trips within easy walking distance. The villa is very well equipped and clean with good sized bedrooms and plenty of room for the 6 of us not to get under each other's feet. I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for self catering accommodation in Antigua.

The villa is in a very quiet location, down a small dust track. Positioned just 10 minute walk from the nearest beach, bars and restaurants. Bring a torch with you! It's a necessatity at night. The villa provides a great big one, but I took a small one that could slip in to a hand bag. The track at the village end, is in complete darkness, and full of pot holes, not for people with walking issues. There are street lights most of the ways down to the villa, which seem to work on sensors. There were just 4 of us staying and the villa had everything required. We were a little disappointed with Jolly Harbour itself. Althpugh we came for a quiet break, we did expect there to be more nightlife. Considering we stayed height of season, we never found a bar or restaurant really busy, or lots of people in one place? Everything here is extremely laid back and chilled. Not the type of place to dress up to go out. Everyone is casual, shorts, t.shirts. The villa provided a relaxing holiday base. We used the BBQ several times, and enjoyed lazy evenings around the pool. Beware!! The villa is opposite the lake, and whilst we thoroughly enjoyed watching all the local wildlife pass through, mongoose, cows, cats, pelicans, the insects are EVERYWHERE!! Apparently the sand flies are the worst offenders for biting, so really, you can't escape them!! Two of our party ended their holiday with 200+ insect bites, despite every available product from the pharmacy and shop to spray for prevention. The villa management team worked well, and answered any queries we had, and responded promptly to minor issues we had. Very friendly, courteous people. Although it is not necessary for a car, pre book in advance a golf buggy. $20 per day. They're like gold dust here, and we were fortunate enough to get one on our second day. It makes life that much easier, especially the supermarket run, and they're great fun to drive. Also, hire a car for a few days, and get to see the island. There's some beautiful beaches just a few minutes drive away. Excursions : we did the Wadadli Cat exciursion, which was a full day trip. Not for the faint hearted. A great day out, but highly dangerous if you sit at the front when the boat goes in to the Atlantic. Great value for money and certainly never laughed so much. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable time. The villa, whilst not the most modern, certainly had everything you would need for a family holiday, would recommend to a large party for holidaying

This is a lovely spacious well appointed villa. We were a family group of 8 adults and found there was plenty of space, seating, kitchen equipment and outdoor furniture. Good sized swimming pool. Reasonably close, approx 10 minutes walk, to large supermarket, restaurants and a further 5 minutes walk on to the beautiful beach, ideal for swimming, sunbathing and partying at the local bar, Castaways. The management team were easy to get in touch with, approachable and charming. Would highly recommend this villa. The owner was most helpful in answering various questions before we started the holiday. We rented cars for 4 days from Sunny Rentals who delivered them to the villa and were very efficient.

We had a fantastic holiday here over Christmas. Well equipped spacious villa, very comfortable beds, delightful outside sitting area. Lots of clean linen and mid week cleaning. Two beaches about 10 minutes walk and excellent supermarket about 5 minutes walk. Just outside jolly harbour marina and very peaceful location. The pool is only waist height but lovely to cool off. Highly recommended
