A stone’s throw away from a section of Cerritos beach. The ocean is right there and great to walk in the mornings. The 2 friendly dogs, Griz and Lucy are very lovely, and I took them out for morning walks daily and also to pick up microplastic and garbage that washed ashore. The beach is quite empty and a good walk from end to end. It is quiet and a great place to enjoy the ASMR sounds and beauty of a pacific coast Mexican beach. There is an outdoor shower to shower, rinse your feet and wetsuits after surfing. Fire pit for outside on the beach if you like! The studio was comfortable and enough space for 2 people. Stove top was gas and there are enough kitchen tools to cook a small meal. There is also left hot water that stays consistent when you shower, almost like North American standards. Most Mexican built homes have variable pressure and water temperatures for showers. It can be a tad bit annoying. But not at Casa Gaia! Water in jugs are free. TV with Netflix was also nice 👍🏼

The only thing that I can say is the bathroom area has no door, just a curtain. So if you have a second person with you and you desire privacy, you may want to ask the other person to go outside while you do your business 😂. It can be a funny request and help you build your communication skills 😂

The place has a kitchenette. A toaster or microwave would be nice additions. Also an extra pillow or two for those of us who prefer to sleep on 2 pillows.

Location was superb. Direct access to the beach is a massive advantage of this place. The style of the accommodation is traditional beach house build. Access to good kitchen with everything you need to self-cater. It is possible to rent surfboards/paddle boards so there are plenty of things to keep you entertained. Really nice private are with loungers and hammocks to relax by the beach. Two big dogs located in the compound that may frighten at first but are two lovely and kind personalities.

The check-in process was a little confusing and the contact could have been a little better. A slight hiccup in an otherwise excellent stay.

Beautiful location right on a lovely beach suitable for surfing or just enjoying the view.

The TV wasn't up to par, but who cares.
