Quiet location, 20 minutes walk from the Western bus station.

I opted for this establishment based on my late-flight arrival and its position slightly further away from the main hub of the city. The property has a nice exterior and seemed like a nice family home. It is, however, a fully-functioning family abode, so expect children and work/school routines to be present. The room was nice, and the bed was comfortable. There wasn't a wardrobe, or anywhere to hang clothes though 🤔. In conclusion, I would say that this homestay is for very particular clientele - i.e. people who might think (as I did) that it would be beneficial to choose somewhere a little closer to the airport/bus station, when realistically, Bishkek is small enough for this not to be an issue. For the price paid and the minimal breakfast - there are a multitude of more advantageous accommodation options elsewhere - so I wouldn't recommend it unless you have specific location needs. The owner, though busy, was pleasant enough and spoke English well. 🙏👍

Kurak Homestay is a very special place. It offers you all the comfort, the rooms are large and made in a very elegant taste (also with some traditional flavour). The owners are extremely helpful, speak fluent English, and give the place a pleasant family touch. They take care of you and can assist you in many ways. One can even organize a private tour to visit historical locations and other places worth seeing close and far. I did a tour to Issyk-Kul and it was a highlight! If you feel like learning traditional cooking, you can do it here. And if you need some privacy, there is enough space for it. It definitely is a good starting point to explore Kirgisistan or take rest after a longer journey.

There was nothing like this. I loved the place and the family.

Bakytbek and his family, Zarema, Janai, Perijan, Yasmin, Elmira, and Ayjan, were most welcoming. I felt at home. The house is spacious and very comfortable. Zarema prepared excellent food every day, and enjoyed every bite, every sip. I will go back to Kurak every time I visit Bishkek.

Very sweat and nice family and a beautful house. Tasty breakfast. And the host was very helpful about organizing taxis and yurtstays.

Hospitality of staff and food like home and bed comfortable to sleep. Comfortable toilet with hot water all the time.

Far away from city centre, no lock on the room door from outside and no key for the house as when you come from outside you need to wait till they answer and come to open the door.
