Only complaint is the house wasn't ready at 4:00 when promised for check in. After a long flight with kids and a three-hour time change killing time for the 4:00 check in then having to wait another two hours to get into the house wasn't a great start to our vacation. The house perfect for our large group, great location. Beautiful house, great pool. Plenty of room for everyone. Had a great time!

Highlights of the property were the pool, the privacy, the location, the open airy feeling, the air conditioned bedrooms, and the great second floor lanais. The house accommodated our party of nine with plenty of space to spare. The pool was well kept and a big hit for everyone after a day of exploring or back from the beach. Boogie boards were provided and were used daily with just a short jaunt down to the beach. Mornings and evenings started and ended with taking in the view and relaxing on the second floor lanai. Overall, everything about the house worked out perfectly for us with no complaints from anyone in our party.
Check-in was straight forward and the management service personnel were easy to get a hold of and quickly responded to my questions.

Beautiful house and property and a great location. Had house for a big family trip and everyone kept saying they wanted to stay longer. Kitchen was fully equipped, house was clean and very comfortable and each family had their own space. We would definitely book here again!

We were a party of 6 family members and friends eager to stay close to the beaches of Poipu. The house was ideal for our group. By the end of our stay, the rental was everything we hoped it would be. When we arrived, there were several issues; it was almost as if they were not prepared for our arrival. The house was very neat and clean but the back door was wide open to a torn screen door. Two bedroom AC remotes were missing. The pool was dirty but cleaned the next morning. The TV remotes were in need of batteries. Our bedroom blind was completely torn off the header. The password provided for the WiFi was wrong and only resolved after we looked on the back of the router for the correct password which we conveyed to the property management. Each issue was addressed quickly by the caretakers with the exception of the blind which was ordered. Upon our departure, the house was nearly perfect so that we would recommend this beautiful home.

We were a family of ten celebrating a 70th birthday. We chose Alohilani because of the swimming pool-- with stairs and a basketball hoop!-- and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. We were not disappointed. It rained the first two days, so we were grateful for the swimming pool where lots of fun was had. We liked the layout of the upper floor: there were two bedrooms on each wing of the house so that parents and children could have bedrooms side by side. A bathroom was accessible for each wing--one with a main bathroom and the other with 2 ensuites. A long staircase led up to these rooms. Luckily even the 3 1/2 year old was able to manage by herself. Upstairs were three lanais which were not used much due to proximity to the upstairs rooms. We 'elders' had a huge bedroom on the main floor with shower and clawfoot tub and a sliding door onto the pool area. The furniture was scaled to large; at 5'1 I saw myself only from the nose up the entire vacation. No problem! The kitchen area was amazing. Lots of room for several adults to prepare and there were oodles of glasses, small plates, bowls, large plates and serving dishes. If you couldn't find it, you just had to keep looking; it was there. Beside the kitchen was a lovely coved area with a round table which looked out at the pool. We ate occasionally at the 10 person table at the front of the house. In the bins outside were many boogie boards and lots of goodies.

This house was a perfect setting for our family to enjoy a long overdue get together. Everyone enjoyed the privacy of their own bedroom while we shared cooking in the large, well equipt kitchen or BBQing on the gas grill outside. The common rooms were spacious enough for us all to be together yet there were balconies or other spots for books to be read or games to be played.
I would recommend that anyone walk the 15 minutes ( or drive ) to Shipwreck beach, as it was the one we enjoyed the most.
All in all the house was the perfect setting for our family. Everyone loved the time we spent there.

What a fantastic place to bring my family for thanksgiving. This is a lovely house on a fantastic property!
The beds were comfy, bathrooms and kitchens updated, and great AC in the bedrooms.
The neighborhood was quiet and very safe. I didn’t even hear roosters (unlike my last stay in poipu)
The kids loved the pool but too chilly for us adults, however the house belongs to the poipu athletic club which had an awesome pool and workout areas.
Just loved this place!!! Mahalo!

We had such a great time in Kauai and the house was perfect for us. More than enough space, the pool and outside rec area was a great place to hang out and energize for the next adventure. We walked to the beach each night to see the sea turtles on the beach. I couldn’t ask for anything better.

We had a great stay at Alohilani - Private 5 Bedroom Villa w/ Pool & 5 AIR CONDITIONED BEDROOMS. The check in was easy, the communication with the property manager was fast and friendly, and the home was perfect.
The pool was clean and enjoyable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and the things you need to cook your own meals. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds were too. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. This was a nice, central location with the tranquility of being far off the busy roads.
The internet speed was great for those that used it. The house was big enough for our 10 guests to visit but not feel crowded at all.
This is a great choice for your stay in Kauai !!

We loved our time at this house. It is a great location and was even more beautiful than the photos. It was a great place for all of our family to gather and celebrate our parents' 40th Anniversary. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again in the future.

This house was perfect for our extended family of 7 - enough lounge chairs by the pool and pool/beach towels for everyone, quiet location within a 10 minute walk to Brennecke and Poipu Beach, well equipped kitchen and bbq for cooking our own meals, and air conditioned bedrooms for all. The two big containers of beach toys/chairs/snorkel equip/etc were great too. All in all very well equipped, clean and in the perfect location - just wonderful for us!

We really enjoyed the house and pool. There was plenty of space. The pool was great. The house lacked plastic storage with lids. We purchased and left them there—so the next group can use them. We bought some nice boogie boards and a smaller cooler—which we left. We would book this property again.

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation to Kauai. The home had everything we needed(we like to cook and had plenty of options for cooking.)We had a broken beach chair and Vicki responded right away with some new beach chairs. We loved that there was no AC in main rooms with fresh breezes flowing but glad bedrooms had AC. We used the pool every afternoon. Lots of chairs but some need replacement. We loved the location and the views of the ocean and a nice walk to either Brenneckes or Shipwreck beach. We had a wonderful time!

This house is absolutely wonderful! We were here for our 20th wedding anniversary and included our family. The house served us well with plenty of space, a beautiful pool, extras like beach equipment and beach towels. The kitchen is huge and very well stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes, even nice serving dishes. Our experience with Vicki as property manager has been fabulous! When we checked in, the cleaning crew had an emergency and was running behind. Vicki was very timely in notifying us of the delay and even let my daughter and her family come in while the cleaning crew finished. We noticed a few other minor issues such as no gas in the grill, a couple lounge chairs at the pool were damaged when we arrived and there was some damage to baseboards in the toilet closet also when we arrived. Vicki responded quickly each time!
Our only complaint is the cleaning overall. We understand the delay and didn’t mind that but one bed was left without sheets, there was hair in the shower drains, uncleaned counters in the kitchen, most of the bath towels still in the washing machine, and the downstairs floor was swept but quite dirty as if it hadn’t been mopped well.
Overall, we are very happy and would love to come again! We will definitely recommend this place!

We had a ball. The space is very comfortable . The kitchen well supplied and who doesn’t love a swimming pool that’s ready for you whenever. Even the wind on Kauai last week didn’t ruin the fun because the water was always there to play. We did not access the community center and would not have chosen to at that particular fee but others seem to like it.

We loved staying in this gorgeous island home. The ocean views, surrounding walking paths, and comfortable rooms made our first stay on Kauai a wonderful one. We also appreciated the full kitchen with everything we needed to cook at home, when desired, and plenty of beach gear. We’ll be back!

We had a great vacation at this huge house. There was lots of room to roam around the house so it didn't seem cramped at all. Having so many bathrooms was really nice. The master bedroom/bathroom was enormous! It was wonderful to walk to the rocky shore between the beaches to catch the sunsets - so beautiful! We loved Brenneck's beach, the waves were fun and so close to the house. You can easily walk but we drove just cuz we always had tons of beach gear to bring and kiddos. Shipwreck beach was super fun too with the cliff jumping right there, a bit rocky though. Nice beach walk from the house to shipwreck beach. Would definitely visit Kauai again; we loved all the food trucks and the pie shop! This house rental had been fully booked all of January, so some of the housekeeping was a little lacking but nothing that would deter me from renting again. To the owners: I would recommend extending the pool deck around the back side of the pool. Not having it allowed a plethora of grass to get into the pool. My daughter made us a fresh key lime pit from the limes growing in the front yard! Can't get any better than that. LOVE KAUAI

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Poipu. The house was lovely and spacious for our family of 6 adults and 4 children. The kids loved the pool and the local beaches were beautiful. The house is convenient to a beautiful coastal walkway as well as Poipu beach. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed many family dinners.

The boogie boards were so much fun on Brennecke beach. Drinking our morning coffee on the lanai and being entertained by our friend, the common mynah bird was a wonderful way to start each day. The bedding, ceiling fans and well-stocked kitchen made our stay very comfortable so we could explore the island, come back exhausted and refresh with a good meal and comfortable sleeping beds. The 80 degree weather sure felt good, especially knowing that it was negative degrees that week in Colorado. Thanks for offering such a beautiful property for our family vacation.

This house was amazing. I honestly wish we would’ve stayed here for the whole trip. I have both big and little kids and it catered to both. Enough space for everyone. Walking distance to the beach. It had a large kitchen which we used everyday. When we come back to this island this is definitely where I want to stay again.

This was a great place that had everything we needed and things we never thought of. The kitchen was huge and well stocked of all cooking needs. The pool was so relaxing. if the grown-ups wanted to visit, you could let the kids play and still keep an eye on them.
It was so very great to have a washing machine and dryer. It allowed us to pack much lighter and send everyone home with clean and pleasant smelling laundry.
The ability to walk to the beaches was amazing. We watch the sunsets and sunrises and went down to the beach to see the turtles every morning sunrise.
And having fans that we could pull into each room provided a breeze in the evening and white noise that helped cover the early rising roosters. (I loved the roosters but it did make the "tinies" wake up earlier than the adults would have liked. I laughed every time they started crowing in the morning. I thought it was great!)

I booked the Alohilani home for a family vacation; it did not disappoint. The home is absolutely beautiful and clean. Perfect kitchen for cooking a big breakfast or dinners. The house comes stocked with everything you need from the kitchen, to the pool and the beach! Coolers, beach chairs, a wagon to help with your beautiful 10 min walk down to the beach and so much more. All the individual bedrooms have A/C units which do a great job of keeping those rooms cool. We absolutely loved our stay here and most certainly will be returning.

The property was exactly as shown and described online. The directions from the airport to the house were accurate and easy to follow. Everything in the house worked well. The walk to the beach was further than we expected but still doable, but we recommend driving. Nearby resturants and shops made the stay very comfortable.
