Cozy Lakefront Cabin with Stunning Views!
Ce bungalow des années 1960 récemment mis à jour était l'une des propriétés originales sur Harvey's Peninsula Rd, appartenant aux sœurs Harvey. C'est le charme de la pierre et du bois combiné avec la vue sur le lac et le cadre boisé sont les ingrédients parfaits pour une escapade sur le lac de montagne! C'est 3 chambres, 2 salles de bains et un canapé-lit, qui ont toutes été récemment mis à jour, va dormir 9 personnes facilement. La grande cuisine, entièrement rénovée en 2010, s'ouvre sur la grande salle et donne sur le pont et le lac Deep Creek. Il n'y a pas de meilleur endroit pour commencer vos matins! Pendant les mois les plus chauds, toutes les portes et fenêtres sont équipées d'écrans pour pouvoir profiter de l'air vif de la montagne, car il n'y a pas de climatisation. Certaines des caractéristiques de la maison comprennent; un poêle à bois, chauffage à plinthes, appareils entièrement en acier inoxydable, ventilateurs de plafond dans chaque chambre, téléviseurs dans chaque chambre, TV dans le salon avec Netflix inclus, Wifi, cuisine entièrement équipée pour tous vos désirs de cuisine- y compris un Keurig, tout nouveau barbecue au propane , grande terrasse avec des tables et des chaises, foyer, grand parking, allée éclairée avec des marches qui mènent à notre grand quai et des chaises longues. Nous sommes des amoureux des animaux domestiques et voulons que vos chiens apprécient la maison autant que la nôtre, cependant, il y a des frais non remboursables de 50 $ et nous demandons que tous les chiens soient détruits et que leurs humains nettoient après eux si des accidents surviennent. Il y a aussi 2 bateaux amarrés à la maison et ils ne sont pas à découvert ou falsifiés car ils sont pour notre usage personnel seulement, nous ne les louons pas.

The cottage was so nice and we loved the waterfront and neighborhood. Very close to hiking and restaurants. Very relaxing home!

Great location, nice stone cabin in the woods! Beautiful area, easy to get to. Plenty of parking, easy access into house for unloading/loading, vaulted ceiling in living room, lots of natural light, fully-stocked kitchen (could use more storage), ceiling fans (you WILL need them - plus your own fans - when temps get in mid-80's and up! We were there when 90°+ and were miserable at night, trying to sleep), wonderful deck off living room (favorite place to sip a cup of coffee!), plenty of outdoor seating, nice lighted walkway to firepit with Adirondack chairs, stone steps (too tall and need handrails!) to dock, dock is sturdy and has a ladder. Nice steps into water. Biggest complaint is the lack of adequate whole-house fan to cool the house off since no a/c and half of the screens were not in the windows. Would stay again, just in cooler months!

We really enjoyed our short stay July 4-6. The house was great and the location was perfect. A couple issues we had were the Wifi worked sporadically at best and there is no air conditioning. I reread the listing after realizing there was no A/C and did notice that under “Comfort” it only listed “Heat”. That’s an error on my part but my wife and I both agreed it would not deter us from renting the property again. Overall it’s a great house and would recommend it to anyone.

Very nice neighborhood of cabins with lots of wildlife around. State park and restaurants were close by if driving. All and all an enjoyable place and would recommend.

This was a perfect place to gather with our daughter and her family. With a 4 year old and two month old, we stayed at the house a lot. The weather was quite rainy and chilly so we were grateful for a clean, comfortable cabin with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed a camp fire one evening and enjoyed exploring the yard. The peaceful setting was an easy drive to restaurants and state parks. Everything we needed was available and the beds were very comfortable. The large open room was perfect for toys and playing. We appreciated Matt’s availability when we had one question. We’d love to return again in the future.

The floors and counters were clean but otherwise everything could use a deep scrub. Windows were filthy. For how much you pay, i expected it to be much cleaner. Only gave us one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom which is unacceptable. We stayed in late august, luckily it wasnt any hotter or it would of been terrible. Very warm even with 70 degree days.

Only two negatives from an otherwise perfect stay: 1) there were no life jackets in the hall closet for the kayaks...we looked everywhere; and 2) the closure of Glendale Road with the long detour around was a surprise and it would have been helpful to know in advance of arrival. We had a relaxing time with our family during 4th of July week. The house met all of our needs and it was nice to have our fur-babies along. I did miss that the house didn't have AC despite it being in the listing..but it really wan't a problem because there are ceiling fans in every room, trees providing shade and cool breezes from the Lake. Matt was super responsive to any questions that we had. We would definitely rent again!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving staying in this cute bungalow. A very comfortable layout, and the beds were actually comfortable to sleep on! Really nice furnishings and everything you need to cook. I'm a huge fan of Harvey's Peninsula as well because there are places to walk. And the view of the lake was beautiful! Would absolutely stay here again.

The cabin was very nice, clean and everything you could need. The laundry service is a nice touch, plenty of linens and towels. We stayed the third week of September and it was very quiet. The cabins are close in proximity to each other, but we had the area to ourselves most of the time being off season., which we loved. The only thing I would recommend for the owners is to have handrails outside (from slider doors to deck/patio and the rocky steps into the yard). We had our mother with us whom is 80 and would've been quite nervous for her to go out on her own even though there are only a few steps. Other than that, the place is wonderful. They take care of their property and we enjoyed ourselves.
Nice place for our dogs too! Our golden enjoyed swimming and the outdoor hose was an added bonus for us to bathe her afterwards. The driveway is a nice short walk for the dogs and the loop around the peninsula is a good walk as well. We all had a very comfortable stay and such a nice view! Close to all shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay again if we travel to that area.

This location was everything we were hoping for - a charming cabin-feel home and naturalistic setting close to everything we wanted to do in our 3 night stay. The older cottage feel home is charming with classic lines and a perfect view of the lake. Easy access to the dock and short drives to local attractions kept us all entertained. We had the perfect weather for mid-August; which is great since there is no air conditioning. Ceiling fans and open screened windows kept us at the perfect temperature. Kayaking, swimming off the dock, renting a boat and hiking all kept us busy and entertained until we returned home for dinner, games and a campfire - perfect!

The Property was nice and plenty of space for my family. We stayed in the summer and I did not know it was not air conditioned. I did not see it listed on property sheet. Even though it was in wooded area it was still a bit warm for August. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. But my children and I did have a great time lake side

Great property, lots of fun.
We stayed in March, and the weather was nice enough for us to use the included kayaks out on the lake. The property is one of the best ones we've stayed at on VRBO. It's got everything you'd want and more. You will have to supply your own firewood for the outdoor pit, which is no big deal. The owners have really worked to make it a nice rental vacation home. The bathroom floors are even heated. We spent time exploring the breweries and wine tastings around the lake, and went to Swallow Falls State Park for a visit as well. It was definitely a blast.

Relaxing Happy Place on the Lake
What a wonderful and relaxing getaway. The property, decor and location were just what we needed to chill during a winter month. Even with a ski resort close by, that was not our intentions this trip. Spent our week relaxing by the fire, enjoying the pristine water views and making new memories.

Great getaway
Cabin was spacious and had a large great room for playing and with nice views of the the lake. Loved the wooded location and access to the (frozen) lake. The two-year-old's loved sledding down the slope towards the lake. Kitchen was well supplied and fireplace was fantastic. We hope to come again!

Wonderful property with a great location. Owners were responsive when we had a question. Two tiny suggestions: provide a colander or strainer (for pasta cooking,) and post a tiny reminder that the sink does not have a garbage disposal.

Peaceful getaway after hectic Christmas
Despite grey & rainy weather we had a lovely time, grateful for the one afternoon when we were able to sit on the deck & enjoy the beautiful lake view.
The kitchen was well equipped. Linens & towels fresh & clean.
The one improvement I suggest is to have better lighting especially in the main living area. More lamps & higher wattage bulbs !!

Cozy and Charming
This home has a perfect view of the lake and is in a quiet location. We enjoyed sitting by the lake at the fire pit or looking at the lake from the lovely living room & master suite. We would have preferred not having to put sheets on the beds ourselves but knew that the sheets were clean. Nice memories!

Peaceful quiet cove
We enjoyed our 3 October days at the cozy cabin. We spent lots of time around the firepit. The house was very clean and bug free even though it is in a wooded area. Mostly quiet cove in the offseason. It is an older house but the upgrades make it feel more modern and very comfortable.
