Las instalaciones son bellas, y originales, tipo The Flingstones (Los Picapiedra para los españolitos). El entorno y las vistas absolutamente espectaculares, los jardines de ensueño, reconstruidos con esfuerzo una y otra vez tras el destructivo ciclón de turno. Los propietarios se desviven por ayudarte en todo, incluyendo las constantes y desesperantes anulaciones de vuelos por parte de Air Vanuatu, así que no se puede ir con prisas. Silvana, una italo-australiana, hace lo imposible por ayudar a sus huéspedes, John te agasaja y cuenta geniales anécdotas en cualquier idioma que le echen. Te organizan todas las excursiones que desees. El servicio es entrañable, a Noelina me la llevaría conmigo a la familia. No admiten propinas individuales por no discriminar a nadie.

La exquisita cocina no es a la vasca, las raciones pueden resultar un tanto mínimas, estilo ¨nouvelle cuisine¨ sobre todo en en carne o pescado. El que todo esté constantemente cubriéndose de cenizas no es culpa del establecimiento, sino del volcán siempre activo que has ido a ver, el cual se encuentra a hora y media de baches de ida, a hora y media de baches de vuelta, pero al que al día siguiente querrás volver.

Réservez directement sur le site du Rock Water (moins cher que sur Booking.com) : https://www.rockwaterresort.com/en/ et prenez contacte avec Sylvana et John, tous les détails sur leur site web. Sylvana et John sont des personnes formidables. Ce sont de véritables experts de l’hôtellerie, aux petits soins pour leurs clients. Ils accordent un point d’honneur à ce que tout soit parfait pour votre séjour (transport, gestion des changements de vols,…). La cuisine est délicieuse, il y a du choix et la carte change tous les jours. La literie est propre et très confortable. Le cadre est exceptionnel, avec une magnifique piscine, un jardin luxuriant et une vue mer imprenable (parfait pour le sunset). Un accès direct à la mer en bas de l’hôtel avec Snorkelling dans une réserve naturelle (tombant de 15 m avec coraux et poissons multicolores). Le personnel est toujours souriant et disponible. Vous pouvez réserver toutes vos activités sans surplus directement auprès de l’hôtel (expédition au volcan Mont Yasur, Blue cave, etc…). C’est de loin le meilleur resort que nous ayons connu. Merci encore Sylvana et John pour ce séjour inoubliable.

Rockwater is the most relaxing and comforting resort I have experienced, so seclude and right on the water it offers so much. Host John and Silvana are so pleasant and forthcoming also. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Where to even begin which such a uniquely special place! The jewel of the crown is definitely John and Silvana and their gorgeous staff who provide a whole different level of hospitality. They organised everything (and we mean everything- we are useless travellers haha) for us during our stay and are just genuine and down to earth people who care greatly about Tanna. Nawiwa and Mary are also gorgeous and took great care of us. Our experience was totally faultless and truly hope anyone wanting an island getaway go ahead and book Rockwater directly for their next trip! Lots of love from Katie and Ed xx

What an amazing experience from start to finish. John, Silvana and the staff went above a beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay, including imparting a wealth of island knowledge and information on Tanna culture and tours. Their property is a manicured tropical oasis on the the beautiful western shores of Tanna Island which has direct access to brilliantly colored coral reefs teeming with all forms of marine life. John and Silvana have created an eco friendly resort which has environmental and community sustainability at the heart of its character. Our room is a testament to their vision - the rock wall was a key feature and the room comprised of all the amenities that are commensurate with this style of resort. As with all photos, they don’t capture the true essence of this extremely special place. We will miss John, Silvana and the staff especially the long yarns with John. We will be back! Chris and Con.
