The property was absolutely fantastic. Exactly as described with a perfect view and everything you need for a getaway. The host are as fantastic as the house and full of all kinds of info and tips about the area.

Lobster Lodge is a beautiful house house with an amazing view. The house is exactly as it appears in the photos - tastefully decorated in a nautical lobster theme, with a fabulous master suite on the second floor and a deck off that bedroom that is the best place to have your morning coffee or afternoon drink. You might be tempted to spend your entire vacation there! The views from the living room, master suite and third floor bedroom can’t even be described. Watching the sunrise from them was a highlight as the lobster boats went out for their day. And you can even see the Prospect Harbor lighthouse from the rocks outside. But the best part of the house is listening to the waves as you fall asleep. It’s truly magical. While the house is definitely a little bit of a trek to shopping, the closeness to Schoodic Point and the adorable town of Winter Harbor is a huge plus. And if you want to go out farther DownEast it’s not far at all. It’s a very special part of Maine that should be visited. Highly recommend Lobster Lodge!!

We can’t say enough about this beautiful property. We enjoyed the gorgeous ocean view while also being nestled in the woods. The property neat and clean and the hosts were pleasant to work with and accommodating. They anticipated all our vacation needs and met them before we even knew what they may be. We also enjoyed the proximity to Acadia, local restaurants, and shopping. This place is a gem and we look forward to staying again in the future.

We loved our stay at this property. Communication was excellent, hearing the ocean at night was so peaceful. Kids loved playing outside by the ocean. Schoodic Peninsula was so much fun to explore. We would definitely recommend this beautiful home to others.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lobster Lodge. Alison and Eric were so hospitable and thought of everything. In addition, they communicated clearly and gave wonderful local recommendations. The views from the house were incredible and it was such a relaxing home away from home. We would love to come back!

This secluded hidden gem was well furnished and very clean. Spectacular views of the ocean from living room and fire pit. Very quiet with the occasional humm of a lobsterman’s vessel. Minutes from schoodic loop and eateries. I would highly recommend.

The property is absolutely amazing! Beautiful, quiet location with a view you could stare at for a lifetime. The home is nestled on a beautiful piece of the Maine Coast. Clean, comfortable beds, everything you need is right there in the home for you. The hosts were amazing, sent us texts to check and make sure we had everything we needed and texted recommendations of places to eat, visit and even little local stores to stop by and pick up things we may need. I can not tell you how wonderful this place actually is because words can not give it the credit its due, if you are looking for a place to unwind with family or partner or friends, this is it. I already miss the sound of the waves hitting the rocks at night while drifting off to a wonderful nights sleep. 10 out of 10, would recommend to anyone wanting to disconnect from the world for a bit, don't worry you still have great WIFI.

The Lobster Lodge has an incredible ocean view accompanied by the surround sound of crashing waves which can be enjoyed whether you are indoors or outdoors. Surrounding area is quaint and very Maine-ish! Spend a fair amount of time in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park which is an easy drive roughly an hour away. The house is tastefully decorated with a lobster theme, very private, has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, very responsive host, and can I say once more–an incredible view!

Terrific experience all around. Stayed 5 nights in mid-September and enjoyed the quiet harbor with beautiful waterfront views of lobster boats, starry skies, and unforgettable sunrises. Nearby lobster co-ops were a favorite. Very close access to Schoodic Acadia for sightseeing and hiking without all the crowds of the main Acadia. An easy hour drive to Bar Harbor or main Acadia but those were both a little too crowded for our liking. Allison the house manager is very helpful and responsive. The house had great beds and everything we needed.

Easy to rent but competitive. The property gets booked solid very quickly.

This is a special place. The house and property are perfect in every way. It was so clean!! Our kids loved having their own space (ages 5 and 7) on the third floor. They thought that was so cool! Allison was extremely helpful to us with figuring out the best things for our family while we were there. Even things we didn’t know about that ended up being our most favorite parts! If you are at the home on a Sunday,Monday or even Tuesday be a little more prepared than we were for eating in at the house. Most restaurants close to the house are closed those days. We went to Mount Desert Island for a day and realized how special the schoodic side was. We definitely didn’t expect those crowds on the other side of Acadia. Schoodic had the most perfect hikes for us and the kids, Allison recommended the best kid friendly ones even. They were stunning in every way! We enjoyed Cadillac mt and bar harbor, we found it extremely cool to take the ferry from winter harbor to bar harbor shopped and ate and rode back. Everything about this vacation was such a neat experience! Even if we just stayed at the home it would have been enjoyable, the kids loved how the tides would change and they would explore down by the water for hours. We enjoyed the house it was clean and perfect for our family. It was exciting to see the lobster boats, seals and schools of fish out in front of the house.

Alison was amazing. The fire pit, the waves crashing, the sound of the bell, the windows’ breezes, all the fixings for full lobster boil, proximity to Schoodic/Acadia - hike them all, 100% relaxing without crowds. ❤️❤️❤️ Everything you need is there.

There are great trails in the area outside of the park with minimal traffic. We did visit Bar Harbor one day which was enough. Even in October, it was very crowded. We loved being on the Schoodic Peninsula.

This is a great location for exploring the Schoodic and not too far from Acadia National. The house was clean, had everything we needed and a beautiful sunrise view. We enjoyed experiencing the tidal changes and looking at the stars. The washer was down while we were there but Alison did a couple of loads for us to get us through. She was great to work with! We recommend sunset from Schoodic Head and check out Castine Kayak’s Night Bioluminescence and star gazing paddle. It was amazing! The whole area is beautiful and I highly recommend this rental.

Our family has vacationed many times in the Bar Harbor area and the Schoodic Peninsula has all the beauty of Maine coast without the crowds. Wish everyone could experience the sights and sounds of the Lobster House: full moon on the water with the rhythmic sounds of the waves! The home was clean with all the supplies we needed to start our adventure. Alison was quick to respond, helpful and understanding when we needed to leave the last night due to a death in the family. In fact, we were refunded that night's cost. An unsolicited kindness and generosity. Thank you for sharing your piece of Heaven!

Our stay was AMAZING! The house is in the perfect location along the shore, in a private wooded area. We relished in listening to the waves crash on the rocky shore and hearing sea birds fly overhead. Our hosts were so gracious, ensuring we had everything we needed including recommendations for restaurants along our drive to the house. Friends are asking for referrals for this property based on our beautiful photos. Schoodic Penisula proved to be a great place for our vacation…close to Acadia, but away from the crowds. Highly recommend. We hope to come back!
