Great location: in walking distance to key sightseeing opportunities, a shopping centre very nearby, and for "bazaar aficionados" a bustling market is located just across.

It’s been updated and modernised to a good standard, the apartments themselves were quiet with no noise heard from any neighbours. The host ‘Dalibor’ was very friendly and helpful and appeared promptly to let us into the apartment (even though I missed his message to let him know when we were on our way from the airport - my mistake).

The apartment I think is let down by the surrounding area, the car park below is home to a daily fruit market. Stalls appear early morning selling all sorts, that’s fine I have no problem with that, but one of the storage units the sellers use is a burnt out Mercedes Sprinter van parked in one of the bays - seems a bit strange. To the left of the apartment there was a flea market set up every morning by locals trying to earn some extra cash, it’s just laid out on sheets and cardboard early morning and dismantled at night. As is the case with many European cities the curse of graffiti has hit the area, there are unsightly moronic designs everywhere, first time I’ve seen ‘Hitlers’ face and swastikas in a design though, don’t know if the supporting text was for or against him. I think the surrounding area does detract from the apartment, but at no time did I find the atmosphere oppressive or frightening, there is nothing scary about it, it’s just untidy. The only things I found a bit annoying about the apartment is that the toilet and separate shower room are a bit cramped for space, nothing that can’t be handled for a short stay but it’s worth noting.

we liked everything! the host was always one message away from us, solved every little things we asked. the apartment itself was as seen as in the pictures, very clean, very well equipped, comfy, safe, just in the center. overall it was a great choice to stay in Skopje! highly recommended!

If you are planning to stay in Skopje, do not look at other places - this is the place to stay. This apartment is a real find, very comfortable, very clean, excellently furnished and renovated. It is situated in an old building in the city centre, but inside of the apartment everything is new! It is very close to all that you want to see in Skopje. Dolibar is a wonderful person who helped us in all we needed, even collecting us from airport and then taking us to the rental place when we were leaving. Thank you, Dolibar! 😀 Greetings to your wife too. Unfortunately we only stayed one night because we were booked in a place in Dolna Matka. We highly recommend this apartment. 👍👍👍
