The cottage was perfect for two people. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The location is very convenient, and the views of the neighboring farm fields were lovely. The hosts were extremely accommodating. We highly recommend this listing.

Quaint, clean, well appointed cottage nestled on an idyllic property with beautiful views from every window. An outdoor seating area surrounded by tasteful gardens and peaceful walking trails are just steps away. This property far exceeded our expectations. Sharon was very lovely, accommodating and responsive. We will be visiting again!

We were on a college tour and wanted to stay somewhere close enough to the University of New Haven but not in a busy area. Our host was lovely and the cottage was exactly as pictured. Even better than pictured! It was clean, fresh, beautifully appointed, and comfortable. I wish we'd been able to stay another night. The park across the street had lovely trails to wander for a good hour or more, too. All in all, we had a perfect stay.

We were looking for a hotel alternative for Yale graduation weekend when we came across this listing. The cottage is perfectly situated about 15 minutes from campus - far enough away to escape the craziness that is New Haven. The guest house is delightfully charming, from it's cozy sofa to comfy quilt. The decor is beautiful with a gorgeous bathroom. The host, who is onsite in the main house, was communicative and helpful, and really went above and beyond for us after I inadvertently left something behind. I would definitely choose to stay here again should we ever need accommodations in the area. I highly recommend!

2nd visit here. We absolutely love te privacy, proximity to our venue and ease of communication with our host. Beautifully appointed and comfortable setting to allow for complete relaxation during downtime. And, The SHOWER!!! I took 2. Thanks again Sharon. Hopefully back soon.

This cottage property was the ideal getaway for the two of us. We loved the design of the space and found ourselves just taking in the bucolic grounds. The cottage was the perfect refuge for us to recover while we escaped our busy lives for a few days. Sharon was a great host as well.

This is our second visit to this beautiful little cottage while we move our daughter in and out of college. I hoped to find a place like this that we could consider home base for the next four years and this property is exactly right. Sharon is an outstanding host. We had a great stay while we were in the area for a bike race at Powder Ridge. Sharon was very friendly and responsive and her place was exactly as described and pictured. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. We'd definitely stay again!

I came to the New Haven area from the West Coast to support a family member who was at Yale New Haven Hospital. I was rushed and didn't do my usual thorough research on where to stay but feel so lucky that I found Sharon's place. The proximity to New Haven was perfect and the accommodations were so comfortable, light-filled, and quiet. It was a wonderful retreat to come back to this bucolic setting every evening after being in an busy hospital environment all day. This was a difficult and open-ended trip and Sharon went above and beyond what is expected of a host. She extended my stay on very short notice and even printed out legal documents for me and did some of my laundry. Her kindness and support made all the difference. If I return to this area, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice little place to stay on a trip to New Haven. Can take bus into town though the stop is a bit of a walk.

We loved the quiet country cottage atmosphere of our home while staying in Connecticut to visit our daughter. The property is so much bigger and nicer than staying in a motel room. The view from the cottage was quaint Connecticut countryside. Could not have asked for nicer or more responsive landlords than Sharon and Chris.

Wonderful time at Sharon's cottage. It's beautiful and roomy for 2 while so charming and has pretty much everything you may need for a quick getaway. Location is perfect for all the things up and down the coast but 95 is a bear in this part of Connecticut, so give yourself time should you travel that way. Westport has some exceptional dining, and wineries are all around. Loved the morning misty view out the picture window from the bedroom. 😍

Beautiful clean cottage located behind main home close to meadow where mist rose on a fall morning. Fittingly decorated with impressionist art. Clean and well stocked with basics and Godiva chocolates. Only drawbacks: key was very balky and host’s voicemail was full when we called. Didn’t get a response from text although host responded quickly to other queries before our visit.

Such a lovely place and a very restful ambiance.

Best sleep we have ever gotten! The cozy cottage is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Whaley Ave. , but not too far if you want to grab Dunkin or get some necessities. Sharon was so hospitable and made our short stay seamless. We can’t want to come back. 😊

We booked this property to visit our daughter for parents’ weekend. We are from CA so it’s a long trip for a short stay. Imagine how lovely it is to pull up to a beautiful old home and see the charming cottage on a picturesque hill waiting for you. It’s that cozy. Meticulously clean, bright and cheerful, well appointed, a super comfy bed and the couch begs you to take a nap. The shower pressure was so good! Sharon, our host, was so accommodating to our weary red-eye flight needs and made sure everything was ready for us. I hope to stay here every time we visit.

The Cute Cottage was top notch. Elegantly and comfortably furnished. The gardens were peaceful and we enjoyed walking the path in the fields across the road.

Sharon's cottage was so cozy, welcoming, and bright. Unfortunately, I had to leave early due to a family issue, but my stay was comfortable and relaxing while I was there. Located in a quiet neighborhood, with shopping, food just down the road, and some lovely walking trails/dog park within walking distance. This is a perfect place to provide a quiet getaway. This cottage was clean, crisp and comfortable in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The terrace was a nice spot for morning coffee, listening and watching the wildlife in the nearby field.The property manager was informative and responsive to all communication. I would highly recommend this rental.

Very private and bucolic setting. Beautifully renovated separate cottage. Very thoughtful hosts. Very nice bathroom but some of the furniture needs replacing. Three broken wooden chairs not safe to sit on. An old mattress on a wooden slat bed frame that made for noisy uncomfortable sleeping. The kitchenette was handy but there is no where to keep ice.
