Lovely spacious room, with lots of delicate and fun design touches. Looked exactly like the photos. Terrace space was also beautiful - a great spot for relaxing and catching the sunrise too. Nice spacious and very hot shower and v good wifi. Was a 10 min walk from the centre of Holbox, felt incredibly safe as a solo female traveller walking home along the beach at night, and it was nice to stay somewhere quieter/less touristy. Owners were very nice. I had one night at dinner and loved the meal Roberta made.

The owners left for most of my stay, which meant there was no breakfast which was a big inconvenience as I had to find places nearby. A lot of construction in the day during my stay too, and never saw the pool was never running whilst I was there although I did not require it as the beach is literally 2 minutes walk away.

Lovely and clean room, lots of windows with a nice view, good shower, great WiFi in room around the whole property, delicious breakfast, fantastic roof terrace where breakfast and dinner are served

The location of the hotel is nearby city center, but it is quiet place. The main beach is 10min of walk. The breakfasts and dinners are absolutely delicious and we totally recommend it. They are served on the terrace on the rooftop of hotel, ideal place to catch sunrise and sunset.

Great place - a bit away from the center which gives a nice and quiet sleepy. Super friendly hosts, delicious breakfast on their rooftop, fast internet (for an island)! I would definitely come back!

Nice rooftop terrace.

There were a lot of mosquitos. It would be nice if there were mosquito nets on the bed. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we were there. The pool doesn’t look inviting, we haven’t used it and saw no one else using it either.

The breakfast is amazing thanks to Roberta who is an amazing chef! She also makes amazing homemade pasta always using the freshest ingredients. The rooms were cleaned every day making it super nice to come back to.

It was clean, the rom was big, the location was a bit outside the city center so it was quiet, we can see the sunset from the rooftop, Roberta is a very good cook ! We enjoyed our stay there.

Nice host, beautiful and very clean room. Loved the general ambiance. Roberta is an excellent chef and we recommend having one of her amazing dishes while looking at the sunset from the rooftop.

We had a great time at Casa Vainilla; the apartments are located right next to a very beautiful and not too crowded beach, and you can walk to the center of the island in a few minutes. The rooms are quiet big and comfortable with a spacious bathroom, very nice interior design (very colourful and island vibe). Roberta and Alex are very kind and helpful, and the best thing was the home made food of Roberta, it was the best Italian food we ever had! We were very happy we stayed in Casa Vainilla, thank you Roberta and Alex for your kindness and good care!

This place is amazing! Very nice people, super clean, big rooms with friendly atmosphere. The absolute highlight is the food (breakfast&dinner)! Roberta Is your chef - she is from Italy an makes the best fettuccine and lasagne and tiramisu. All ingredients are fresh and the pasta is homemade. She puts so much love and passion in her food, you really can taste it! But also the breakfast was just amazing! I really can recommend this place for people who appreciate good food and a nice atmosphere. We just loved it! Thank you for the great time!

The owners are super kind and helpful. The food is amazing! The owners prepare the food themselves, even the pasta! The place itself was very clean and cosy. I really enjoyed the location as well! Not in the city center so it was very quiet. And only a 10 minutes walk away from the center. 2 min walk away from the beach!

This amazing small hotel is so charming and warm, that I would ever recommend it to stay there. Roberta and her husband are super helpful and nice people, the hotel is in a quiet area of the island and with lovely furnished big rooms. Robertas pasta and her dishes are super delicious, with a nice mixture of Carribean and Italian cuisine. Thanks for everything!

Unfortunately breakfast was not available during the stay ( best places to back up are in the town - 10mn walk) It’s pricey, I suppose that’s everywhere in Holbox since it’s now a very touristic island.

Roads in Holbox get very muddy in rain, but that’s a general comment

Hammock in the room 🙂 Nice accommodation and good tipps from the owner. Close to the beach (5 minute walk, about 500 m). Unfortunately when we have been there while the beach was full of seagras and crowded. Generally quite expensive island, comparable to Tulum.

No AC and no hot water (but warm). Very complicated to find and to get there. No signs or hints that you've found the place. Complicated start, but in the end everything went well. Take a taxi, even if it seems just a short way! Streets are not made for walking. Everywhere streets are flooded and beach buggys cross by. Generally I would not recommend the Holbox island in high season.

the room is super big, clean and well-thought decorated. the owner, Roberta is the best chef in the island and cooks amazing breakfasts (not included but worth the price 100%).
